An operator cab for a machine such as a motor grader includes an access door coupled to a frame by way of a hinge mechanism. The hinge mechanism has abutting cam and follower surfaces with geometry to control the swinging of the access door such as under the force of gravity. The cam surface has a double-sloped profile of rotation about the pivot axis of the hinge mechanism so that the access door swing is controlled in either of a first or a second swing direction toward a dwell location of the access door.

Vehicle door

A door assembly for a vehicle is provided. The door assembly includes an inner panel and an outer panel which are joined together to define a central space therebetween. The central space has a front which faces towards the front of a vehicle and a back which faces towards a back of the vehicle. Both the inner and outer panels are made of aluminum, and at least one reinforcement beam made of steel is disposed in the central space between the aluminum inner and outer panels to provide the door assembly with increased impact resistance.

A closure assembly includes a housing, a sensor, a door, and a primary actuator. The sensor is disposed within the housing. The door is supported by the housing and is movable between a closed position and an open position. The sensor is exposed when the door is in the open position. The primary actuator is operable to (i) apply a first force on the door to move the door from the closed position to the open position and (ii) apply a second force on the door to move the door from the closed position to the open position when the first force does not move the door into the open position.

A door moving apparatus includes a motor unit, a first gear, a second gear, an endless belt, a drum, and a rotator. The first gear is mounted on a rotary shaft of the motor unit. The second gear includes a diameter larger than a diameter of the first gear and teeth more than the first gear. The endless belt passes over the first gear and the second gear. A rotary power of the second gear is transmitted to the drum via a rotary power transmission mechanism. The rotator is configured to reduce a separation of the endless belt from a preset running path.

Door opening and closing apparatus

A door opening and closing apparatus includes a rail module including: a rail member extending along a front-and-rear direction; a drive device mounted on the rail member; and a supporting member coupled to one end portion of a closing cable the other end portion of which is connected to the drive device and one end portion of an opening cable the other end portion of which is connected to the drive device. The rail module is provided with the drive device fastened to an outside of a vehicle body such that a part of the drive device goes inside the vehicle body through an opening provided on the vehicle body. A portion of a housing of the drive device located outside the vehicle body closes the opening while a sealing member is interposed therein.

When the opening and closing body is being closed, in a case where the position of the opening and closing body when a trapping of a foreign object is detected is outside a specified range between a fully closed position and a specified position, the controller controls the operation of the opening and closing drive device to reverse the opening and closing body to perform the opening operation by a predetermined opening-and-returning distance and then stop the opening and closing body. In a case where the position of trapping is in the specified range, the controller reverses the opening and closing body to perform the opening operation by the predetermined opening-and-returning distance or a greater distance and then stop the opening and closing body outside the specified range.
