Open roof construction for use in a vehicle
An open roof construction for use in a vehicle includes, at least one movable element, movable along a stationary guide extending underneath opposite lateral edges of a roof opening. A drive motor drives the movable element, where a drive cable at least partly guided in the stationary guide connects between the drive motor and the movable element. The drive cable is guided in a channel in the stationary guide. The drive cable includes, connected at one end, a drive cable plate. The cable plate connects with the movable element, the cable plate being slidably engaged with at least one wall of the stationary guide, wherein the cable plate further includes at least one separate slide shoe slidably engaging the at least one wall of the stationary guide. The slide shoe is capable of biasing the drive cable plate with respect to the at least one wall of the stationary guide.
Roof module for a vehicle roof of a passenger vehicle
A roof module for a vehicle roof of a passenger vehicle includes a module frame which includes a front module frame transverse element, a rear module frame transverse element, a first lateral module frame longitudinal element, and a second lateral module frame longitudinal element, where the first and the second lateral module frame longitudinal elements connect the front and the rear module frame transverse elements to each other. A cover element is mounted on the module frame. The front module frame transverse element is a first shell element and the first shell element is connectable to a second shell element of a roof frame of the vehicle roof. When the first shell element is connected to the second shell element they together form a roof crossmember of the vehicle roof which encloses a cavity.
Vehicle sunshade with variable width
A sunshade system of vehicle roof includes a sunshade formed from a fabric material including a plurality of pleats arranged across a lateral sunshade width and extending along a sunshade length. At least one sunshade guide extends along a length of the sunshade and retains a lateral width edge of the fabric material, and guides the sunshade along a path between a stowed position and an extended position. The sunshade has a variable sunshade width along the sunshade length in the extended position by expansion and relaxation of the plurality of pleats.
Sunshade system and method of manufacturing
A sunshade system for a vehicle, comprises a sunscreen having at least a main part and two opposed, laterally placed, inwardly folded parts. The sunscreen includes an intermediate part extending in between the main part and the inwardly folded parts each connected to the intermediate part by means of a fold. Two opposed longitudinal guides retain the adjacent inwardly folded part and at least a part of the corresponding intermediate part of the flexible sunscreen. The guides engage the inwardly folded part. Each intermediate part includes a first compressed part extending in longitudinal direction and comprising at least material of the main part. The first compressed part is established under the influence of a compression treatment such that said material in the first compressed part has a thickness smaller than the thickness of the same material in the main part.
Radiant heating dual roller shade for vehicle sunroof system
A radiant heating and blocking shade system for a sunroof of a vehicle includes a first roller configured to be mounted adjacent to one end of a sunroof of a vehicle. A second roller is mounted adjacent to the first roller between the first roller and the sunroof. A radiant heating shade is at least partially wound around the first roller. The radiant heating shade has a deployed position and a retracted position. A blocking shade is at least partially wound around the second roller. The blocking shade has a deployed position and a retracted position. The blocking shade is arranged parallel to and spaced from the radiant heating shade between the radiant heating shade and the sunroof when the blocking shade and the radiant heating shade are in the deployed position.
Roller blind arrangement and vehicle roof
A roller blind arrangement for a vehicle roof of a motor vehicle, having a fixed glass element, two mutually opposite guide rails which extend along a longitudinal direction and are each curved such that a distance between the guide rails changes along the longitudinal direction, a roller blind web which is displaceably guided in the guide rails along the longitudinal direction, wherein a guide rail has a receiving channel for receiving part of the roller blind web, an insertion element is arranged on the fixed glass element and extends along the receiving channel, the roller blind web is guided between the receiving channel and the insertion element, wherein the insertion element has an extent which changes along the longitudinal direction such that a greater or lesser amount of the roller blind web is received in the receiving channel.
Sunroof panel and sunshade assembly system and method
A sunroof panel and sunshade assembly system includes a moveable sunroof panel operable to selectively move to a first closed position within a sunroof opening of a vehicle and a sunshade operable to selectively move to a second closed position within the sunroof opening. The sunshade includes a leading-edge portion and a spring force displacement member within the leading-edge portion of the sunshade, wherein the spring force displacement member is operable to deform when the sunshade contacts an obstruction while the sunshade is moving. The system further includes an electric machine providing motive force to the sunshade and a computerized sunroof panel and sunshade controller. The controller operates programming to monitor operation of the electric machine, determine a presence of the obstruction based upon the monitored operation, and command the electric machine to stop and reverse the sunshade based upon the determined presence.
Flexible sunscreen and sunshade assembly provided therewith
A flexible sunscreen is provided intended for use in a sunshade assembly of the type comprising a flexible sunscreen having a central part and two opposed inwardly folded longitudinal edge flaps connected to the central part by means of folding lines, and two opposed longitudinal guides for receiving therein and guiding corresponding ones of the inwardly folded longitudinal edge flaps of the flexible sunscreen, which guides are provided with locking members for engaging an outer end of the inwardly folded longitudinal edge flaps for preventing these edge flaps from moving out of the longitudinal guides. The central part of the flexible sunscreen mainly is manufactured from a first material with a first stiffness wherein of the inwardly folded longitudinal edge flaps and of the parts of the central part adjacent the edge flaps at least part is made of a second material with a second higher stiffness.
Cab for construction machine
A cab capable of shielding solar radiation comprises a pair of front pillars and a pair of vertical beams; a front window glass member mounted movably along guide rails formed along the front pillars and the vertical beams, between a closing position for closing a front window formed between the front pillars and an opening position for opening the front window accommodated between the vertical beams; a roll screen and a winding member, wherein the winding member is disposed behind the inner surface of the front window glass member positioned at the closing position and in front of the front end of the front window glass member positioned at the opening position and on the outer side of the pair of guide rails; and a holding means attached to the front pillars and configured to releasably hold the leading end of the screen.
Rollo assembly and open roof construction provided therewith
A rollo assembly for use in a vehicle with an opening, includes a shaft, a screen wound on/off said shaft where a forward end is provided with a beam and opposite channels guide edges of the screen and ends of the beam. Drive cables are provided with connecting members for drivingly engaging respective counter connecting members provided at ends of the beam. The shaft, beam and screen are combined into a detachable unit which, when the screen is substantially fully wound onto the shaft and the cables assume a position in which the connecting members at least partially protrude from a longitudinal end of the channels, can be moved relative to said channels for connecting or disconnecting the counter connecting members to or from the connecting members. A support maintains the connecting members of the cables, when maximally protruding from said longitudinal end of the channels, in a well-defined position.
