Weatherstrip assembly for sealing between a frame and a closure member and a method for producing the same
A weatherstrip assembly for a vehicle. The assembly includes a body having a base and first and second legs which define a channel. The body includes an interior base surface, a first interior leg surface, and a second interior leg surface disposed within the channel. The assembly includes at least one sealing lip having an abutment surface and a wearstrip disposed along at least one of the interior base surface, the first and second interior leg surfaces, and the abutment surface and formed of a thermoplastic polyethylene material. The wearstrip has a plurality of alternating wear sections and gaps that define a series of alternating semi-rigid and flexible sections, respectively, with each wear section having first and second surfaces. The first surface of one of the wear sections and the second surface of an adjacent wear section face each other to define the gap.
PROFILE STRIP FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND PROFILE STRIP PRODUCTION METHOD
A profile strip for a motor vehicle, in particular for a sealing assembly in a window or door area of a motor vehicle. The profile strip comprises a securing profile section that can be secured on a first part of the motor vehicle. The profile strip comprises a sealing profile section connected to the securing profile section, produced from a vulcanized rubber matrix and configured to allow relative movements with reduced friction between the profile strip and a second part of the motor vehicle. A contact surface of the sealing profile section that can be brought into contact with the second part is provided with an anti-friction coating that comprises an anti-friction coating matrix and anti-friction particles embedded in the anti-friction coating matrix that are produced from UHMWPE. The anti-friction coating matrix is a vulcanized EPDM matrix.

A profile strip for a motor vehicle, in particular for a sealing assembly in a window or door area of a motor vehicle. The profile strip comprises a securing profile section that can be secured on a first part of the motor vehicle. The profile strip comprises a sealing profile section connected to the securing profile section, produced from a vulcanized rubber matrix and configured to allow relative movements with reduced friction between the profile strip and a second part of the motor vehicle. An open roof construction for a vehicle having a roof opening in a fixed roof having a roof edge, defining the roof opening and protruding in a downward direction and further comprising a stationary part, at least one panel to open and close the roof opening. The panel is movably supported by an operating mechanism, guided in a guide rail of the stationary part, extending along at least a longitudinal side of the roof opening. The panel is movable in vertical and longitudinal directions with respect to the roof opening. The stationary part is provided with a sealing assembly comprising a first seal part capable of sealing the panel towards the fixed roof, and a second seal part capable of sealing the stationary part against an inner part of the fixed roof. The first seal part is slidably adjustable with respect to the second seal part in vertical direction.

The present invention concerns an elastomer run seal suitable for receiving a sliding window of a motor vehicle side door, and a sealing module comprising said seal, said window and means for guiding the window rigidly connected to the window in order to slidingly guide same in an offset manner in a groove of the seal. Said seal (1) is suitable for receiving a window (V) mounted laterally flush with an outer surface of a vertical edge element of a frame (2) of the door adjacent to the window chosen from an upright of the frame and a vertical outer trim (2a) provided on the frame, the seal comprising at least one ascending strand and one top strand, said ascending strand having an outer branch (12) to be mounted in sealing contact with the vertical element and the window, an inner branch (11) to be mounted on the frame and a connecting branch (13), the seal comprising a groove (12a) receiving, in a vertically sliding manner, means (10) for guiding the window rigidly connected to the inner face (Vi) of same. According to the invention, said groove is formed on the outer branch and is suitable for being positioned facing the vertical element.

The present invention concerns an elastomer run seal suitable for receiving a sliding window of a motor vehicle side door, and a sealing module comprising said seal, said window and means for guiding the window rigidly connected to the window in order to slidingly guide same in an offset manner in a groove of the seal. Said seal (1) is suitable for receiving a window (V) mounted laterally flush with an outer surface of a vertical edge element of a frame (2) of the door adjacent to the window chosen from an upright of the frame and a vertical outer trim (2a) provided on the frame, the seal comprising at least one ascending strand and one top strand, said ascending strand having an outer branch (12) to be mounted in sealing contact with the vertical element and the window, an inner branch (11) to be mounted on the frame and a connecting branch (13), the seal comprising a groove (12a) receiving, in a vertically sliding manner, means (10) for guiding the window rigidly connected to the inner face (Vi) of same. According to the invention, said groove is formed on the outer branch and is suitable for being positioned facing the vertical element.

The trim element includes a cured film disposed on the substrate and formed from a coating composition. The cured film has a second coefficient of static friction that is greater than the first coefficient of static friction and a second coefficient of kinetic friction that is greater than the first coefficient of kinetic friction.
