Device, trim element for the device, and method of forming the trim element
A trim element for a device includes a substrate formed from a material. The material has a first coefficient of static friction and a first coefficient of kinetic friction with respect to the device. The trim element includes a cured film disposed on the substrate and formed from a coating composition. The cured film has a second coefficient of static friction that is greater than the first coefficient of static friction and a second coefficient of kinetic friction that is greater than the first coefficient of kinetic friction. A device includes a body and the trim element attached to the body. In one embodiment, the device includes a component attached to the body and pivotable between an open position and a closed position.
Coating composition for lubrication film
A coating composition for lubrication film is disclosed. The coating composition comprises (A) a high energy beam-curable resin, (B) silicone elastomer fine particles, and (C) a gum-like polysiloxane. The coating composition is capable of forming a lubrication film that suppresses the occurrence of stick-slip phenomenon, has good feel, adheres to a substrate, and has excellent followability (i.e. ability to follow the elastic transformation) to conform to deformation of the substrate.

WEATHER STRIP FOR AUTOMOBILE
An installation base member couples to an opening of an automobile body and has a substantially U-shaped cross section. A hollow seal member includes a first base root and a second base root which extend from an outer-cabin side wall of the installation base member. The hollow seal member in cross section protrudes from the first base root outwardly to a first turning point, curves toward a base root of the flange and connects with the second base root. A side of the first base root includes solid (dense) material. An interval between the first and the second base roots includes sponge material. A first border between the solid (dense) material of the side of the first base root and the sponge material is closer to an exterior of the automobile than the first turning point.

SEALING ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A SEALING ASSEMBLY
A sealing assembly for a vehicle comprises a sealing body extruded from an elastomeric material formed from an ethylene propylene diene monomer and having a base and first and second legs spaced from one another extending from the base. The base and the legs define an interior surface and a first channel for receiving a panel, and further define an exterior surface opposite the interior surface. The sealing body defines an overmold region opposite the first channel extending along a portion of the exterior surface of the sealing body. The sealing assembly further comprises a bonding layer of a first thermoplastic vulcanizate co-extruded onto the overmold region of the sealing body, and a molded layer of a second thermoplastic vulcanizate molded onto the bonding layer with the molded layer defining a second channel for receiving a fixed window of the vehicle. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing a sealing assembly.

Weatherstrip Assembly for Sealing Between a Frame and a Closure Member and a Method for Producing the Same
A weatherstrip assembly for a vehicle. The assembly includes a body having a base and first and second legs which define a channel. The body includes an interior base surface, a first interior leg surface, and a second interior leg surface disposed within the channel. The assembly includes at least one sealing lip having an abutment surface and a wearstrip disposed along at least one of the interior base surface, the first and second interior leg surfaces, and the abutment surface and formed of a thermoplastic polyethylene material. The wearstrip has a plurality of alternating wear sections and gaps that define a series of alternating semi-rigid and flexible sections, respectively, with each wear section having first and second surfaces. The first surface of one of the wear sections and the second surface of an adjacent wear section face each other to define the gap.
