Multiple fuel tank purge system and method
A multiple fuel tank purge system and method includes providing a pair of fuel tanks, including a main fuel tank for containing impure fuel and a separate, auxiliary fuel tank that contains commercial canned fuel. The engine runs on the impure fuel from the main fuel tank while the engine is in normal use, and then employs a shutdown cycle that switches to the commercial canned fuel from the auxiliary fuel tank for some pre-set time period. This arrangement allows the engine to be purged of the impure fuel (by burning the impure fuel during the shutdown cycle) and replaced by the commercial pre-mixed fuel before the engine is finally shut down. The system may further include a novel fuel cap with a fuel line, a tank within a tank fuel container, and/or an electronically actuated shutdown cycle mechanism.
VEHICLE TANK MOUNTING ASSEMBLY
A mounting assembly for a vehicle is provided. The vehicle has a chassis with a first frame rail and a second frame rail extending longitudinally. The mounting assembly has a bracket with a concave region to receive and attach to a compressed gas tank to move the compressed gas tank away from an external force applied to an outer surface of the tank and in a first direction towards and beneath the first frame rail. The bracket has a first end region connected to the first frame rail to position the tank on an outboard side of the first frame rail.
Multi-vessel reservoir assembly
A multi-vessel reservoir assembly is provided. The multi-vessel reservoir assembly comprises a first fluid vessel, a second fluid vessel, and at least one linkage positioned between the first and second fluid vessels. The at least one linkage serves to maintain the first and second fluid vessels in fixed and spaced-apart relationship relative to one another. The first and second fluid vessels are independent and separately operable.
Transport vehicle
A transport vehicle configured to run on electricity generated by a fuel cell includes: a body having a cargo space for freight; a chassis frame located below the body and supporting the body; and a tank unit including a plurality of tanks that stores fuel gas to be used for power generation by the fuel cell and a connecting portion connecting the tanks, the tank unit being located between the cargo space and the chassis frame.
Fuel tank of work vehicle and work vehicle
Provided is a fuel tank of a work vehicle in which fuel can be easily sucked into an engine. The fuel tank includes: a drain port which is open to an outside on a side surface and through which fuel is discharged to the outside; a suction port which is open to the outside on a side surface and has a center positioned lower than a center of the drain port and through which the fuel is sucked by an engine; and a first recess which is formed to be recessed downward with respect to a bottom surface and communicates with the drain port.
Alternative fuel system
An apparatus and a method are provided for an alternative fuel system, comprising a plurality of fuel tank assemblies interconnected with fuel lines; the plurality of fuel tank assemblies comprising a CNG fuel tank and a fuel tank shield; wherein a first and second fuel tank assembly is disposed immediately in front of a rear wheel assembly, and a third fuel tank assembly is disposed immediately behind the rear wheel assembly.
MULTIPLE STORAGE TANK SYSTEM
A multiple storage tank system includes: storage tanks in which cryogenic fluid is stored; discharge lines connected to the storage tanks to discharge the stored cryogenic fluid or introduce cryogenic fluid; a supply line connected to the discharge lines and a supply target to supply the discharged cryogenic fluid to the supply target; a build-up line branching off the supply line to control internal pressure of a first storage tank of the storage tanks; and a gas transfer line connected to the storage tanks to transfer gas inside the storage tanks, wherein when the internal pressure of the first storage tank is controlled while the cryogenic fluid passes through the build-up line, gas inside the first storage tank is transferred to at least one other storage tank through the gas transfer line so that internal pressure of the at least one other storage tank is controlled.
FILLING SYSTEM ON A MOTOR VEHICLE, HAVING AT LEAST TWO STORAGE TANKS FOR LIQUID OR GASEOUS OPERATING MATERIALS
The invention relates to a filling system on a motor vehicle, having at least two storage tanks for liquid or gaseous operating materials, comprising a tank closure cover which closes an opening in the body of the motor vehicle and can be brought from a first position that closes the opening into a second position that releases the opening, wherein at least two filling openings of the storage tanks are arranged below the tank closure cover, which are concealed in the first position of the tank closure cover; a filler trough that forms an enclosure of the filling opening, wherein the filler trough closes the opening in the body of the motor vehicle on the vehicle side and is fixed to the body of the motor vehicle; and at least one filler head, wherein the filling openings are formed as a part of the filler head, the filler head defining at least two mouth-hole necks which are combined to form a common component and are integrally connected to each other, each mouth-hole neck forming a filling opening for another storage tank.
SYSTEM FOR FLUID TESTING AND FUEL SUPPLY
A fluid testing system comprises a source that generates electromagnetic waves, a detector that receives the transmitted electromagnetic waves and generates analog signals corresponding to the colours represented in the electromagnetic waves and, a receptacle, having a fluid inlet and an optical inner tube with transparent walls. The receptacle is positioned between the source and the detector to enable the electromagnetic waves to pass through its walls and through a fluid sample in the receptacle. A repository stores a pre-determined range of reference values corresponding to the values of digital signals for fluids of various colours. An analog to digital converter in the system cooperates with the detector to receive the analog signals, converting them into digital signals, wherein the values are compared with the reference values by a comparator. A fluid outlet provides tested fluid. Further, a fuel supply system is disclosed for supplying fuel to a vehicle.
Non-metallic fuel tank
A non-metallic fuel tank includes a non-metallic tank body, at least one coupling device or mounting system for coupling the non-metallic tank body to a bed of a truck or to a trolley, and a fuel fill opening. A grounding wire may be coupled to the non-metallic tank as well as a fuel line connector which is also coupled to the existing fuel system of a truck. A mounting system for a non-metallic fuel tank includes two rear toe clamps and two front mounting assemblies which include a front mount base and an angle iron coupled together. A portable fuel tank includes a non-metallic tank body and a trolley coupled to the tank body. The trolley includes a base, a mounting system for coupling the non-metallic tank body and the base, at least one handle and at least one wheel.
