TANK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A TANK
A tank includes a tank body made of a thermoplastic resin, a female screw member and a joint that are made of metal, and a seal member. The tank body has a tubular connection port with a through hole, and an inner space communicating with the connection port. The joint has a male screw portion to be screwed into a female screw hole of the female screw member, a boss portion connected to the male screw portion, and a joint through hole passing through the male screw portion and the boss portion. The seal member is provided so as to contact the boss portion and the hole side surface when the male screw portion is screwed into the female screw hole. The boss portion is contactable with a first bearing surface of the female screw member.
Device for reinforcing vehicle fuel tank
A device for reinforcing vehicle fuel tank improves a structure of a rigid reinforcement pillar mounted in an enclosed fuel tank by maintaining stiffness of the reinforcement pillar in a state in which the fuel tank is under positive pressure and an engine negative pressure acts thereon as well as inducing breakage of the reinforcement pillar when a large impact applies, such as in the event of vehicle collision, thereby preventing a fused portion between upper and lower plates of the fuel tank from rupturing.
COMPOSITE FUEL TANK AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING A COMPOSITE FUEL TANK
A composite fuel tank includes a tank-shell and a tank-liner, located within the tank-shell. The tank-shell is formed from a composite layup that is placed, consolidated, and cured on a bladder. The bladder forms the tank-liner after formation of the tank-shell.
PLASTIC TANK FOR MOTOR VEHICLES HAVING AT LEAST ONE REINFORCING STRUCTURE
A plastic container for a motor vehicle having a container wall delimiting a container interior, and having at least one stiffening structure which is connected to the container wall in a planar manner. A border of the stiffening structure has at least two mutually identical edge profiles between two points located on the border. Further, the border, at least in sections along its longitudinal extension, in the region of each of the edge profiles, is at a distance from a direct connecting line connecting the two points.
Self-Sealing Coating for Fuel Tanks
A method of forming a self-sealing fuel tank includes: providing a container including internal surfaces and external surfaces and configured to hold a fuel; forming a latex coating layer over at least a portion of the internal surfaces and/or external surfaces; depositing or encapsulating an environmental layer over at least a portion of the latex coating layer; where the latex coating layer swells when contacted with the fuel; and where the latex coating layer is formed from a latex coating composition that is substantially free of a non-ionic associative thickener.
Polyoxymethylene polymer composition that is chemical resistant
Polyoxymethylene polymer compositions and molded articles made from the composition are disclosed that are fuel resistant, particularly diesel fuel resistant, and resistant to highly acidic solutions. The polymer composition contains a polyoxymethylene polymer generally in an amount from about 90% to about 95% by weight. In addition, the polymer composition contains an add neutralizing agent and a plasticizer at a weight ratio that has been found to significantly improve the add resistant properties of the composition.
Fuel tank for a motor vehicle, and method for producing a fuel tank
A fuel tank for a motor vehicle includes at least two parts that are joined together, each part being formed by an injection moulding process. The two parts form a receiving chamber for receiving fuel and form at least one other receiving chamber, the receiving chamber and the other receiving chamber being spatially separated by a portion of at least one part.
Tank made of resin
A tank made of resin provided with a barrier layer, which prevents the barrier layer from rolling up and has improved durability. In a tank made of resin that includes a barrier layer provided on an inner surface of a tank body made of resin, an opening part is provided in the barrier layer, a thick part projecting toward an inside or an outside of the tank body is provided in a resin layer at an outer peripheral part of the opening part, and the barrier layer and a casting flange part at a base of an oil filling port tubular part are molded with the resin of the tank body in a state in which the casting flange part is located at the thick part.
Stackable container assembly
A container, a stackable container assembly and a vehicle having a container. The container includes a container body having a top surface and a bottom surface; and a fixture assembly configured for receiving an accessory container, the fixture assembly being separately formed from and attached to the top surface, the bottom surface being configured for connecting the container to a vehicle, the bottom surface including: a tongue attached to the bottom surface, the tongue extending from the bottom surface, the tongue being configured for inserting into a first vehicle anchor fixture connected to the vehicle, and an anchor attached to the bottom surface, the anchor being configured for inserting into a second vehicle anchor fixture, the anchor including: at least one anchor lock extending parallel to the bottom surface.
Multi-vessel reservoir assembly
A multi-vessel reservoir assembly is provided. The multi-vessel reservoir assembly comprises a first fluid vessel, a second fluid vessel, and at least one linkage positioned between the first and second fluid vessels. The at least one linkage serves to maintain the first and second fluid vessels in fixed and spaced-apart relationship relative to one another. The first and second fluid vessels are independent and separately operable.
