Internal supporting part structure for plastic tank
An internal support part structure for a plastic tank includes a support rod and end surface components disposed at two ends of the support rod. The support rod is made of a first material. An outer surface of the end surface component is covered by a second material. An outer edge of the end surface component has a regular or irregular shape. The structure resolves a problem that a second material wrapping a first material and connected to an inner wall of a plastic tank may be easily pulled off the inner wall. When a fuel tank is impacted, the support rod of the structure breaks first, to protect the surface of the fuel tank from damage.
FUEL SYSTEM COMPONENT
A fuel system component used to supply a fuel to a fuel tank or used to discharge the fuel from the fuel tank comprises a first resin layer; and a second resin layer formed in a similar color to that of the first resin layer and configured to include a welding portion that is welded to the first resin layer and an exposed portion that is not adjacent to or in contact with the first resin layer. A belt-like portion is formed on a first resin layer-side surface of the exposed portion to be parallel to a boundary between the welding portion and the exposed portion and is configured to include at least one of a concave and a convex extended intermittently or continuously.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AGING A FUEL TANK IN A PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Methods and systems are provided for aging a new plastic fuel tank in a vehicle. In one example, during a plug-in event to recharge a battery of the vehicle, the fuel tank is isolated and the fuel pump is actuated to agitate fuel within the tank and increase fuel vapors until the plastic fuel tank becomes aged to a predetermined degree by fuel vapors generated therein. In this manner, the fuel tank is aged more rapidly, resulting in more accurate fuel level readings and less noise and vibration.
CONTAINER MADE FROM THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAID CONTAINER
The invention relates to a container made from thermoplastic polymer with at least one inner reinforcing rib in a container wall, wherein the reinforcing rib is formed by at least one linear groove track in a container outer wall, the groove track extends over a length on the container outer wall, the groove track is formed by a multiplicity of depressions in the container outer wall, said depressions being arranged at a distance from one another, and wherein material bridges are provided between each of the depressions, said material bridges each having a smaller depth than the depressions. The invention furthermore relates to a method for producing such a container by extrusion blow molding or thermoforming.
Fuel tank with an internal support structure
A fuel tank includes a plurality of extending members that extend from an inside surface of a fuel tank main body, a connecting member that is arranged between the plurality of extending members and connects each of these extending members together, and a flexible portion formed on the connecting member.
Container For Automotive Service Liquids With Local Thermal Insulation Integrated In The Tank Wall
An automotive service liquid tank for receiving a service liquid of a motor vehicle, in particular an aqueous urea solution, has a tank wall that encloses a tank volume on the inside of the tank, wherein the tank has locally, by comparison with at least one other tank region, at least one region with enhanced thermal insulation, in order to influence a freezing behavior of the service liquid received in the tank in such a way that the service liquid, when the outside temperature drops, freezes later in the tank region with enhanced thermal insulation than in the at least one other tank region without enhanced thermal insulation. According to the invention it is provided that the enhanced thermal insulation is formed integrally with the tank wall.
ASSEMBLY FOR MOUNTING AT LEAST ONE COMPONENT IN A TANK OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
An assembly for mounting at least one component in a tank for a motor vehicle, the tank including a wall portion and an attachment portion projecting outward from the wall portion, the attachment portion defining an opening in the wall portion, the assembly including: a mounting module configured to carry the at least one component and to close the opening in the wall portion; the mounting module including an outer side configured to be accessible from outside the tank; at least one connector arranged on the outer side of the mounting module, the at least one connector being connected to the at least one component; a clamp configured to clamp the mounting module to the attachment portion; and a cover attached to the clamp and covering at least partially the at least one connector.
Vehicle Body Mounting Structure For a Fuel Tank
To provide a vehicle body mounting structure for a fuel tank tank, which can suppress deformation of the fuel tank due to a band member while suppressing increase in weight of the fuel tank, the vehicle body mounting structure for a fuel tank includes: a band member (21) disposed along a lower surface (14) of the fuel tank (1) made of resin and having both ends secured to the vehicle body; an upper groove (31) formed in a side surface (12) of the fuel tank (1) to extend downward from an upper surface (13) of the fuel tank (1) over at least a part of the side surface (12) of the fuel tank (1); and a cushion member (26) interposed between the fuel tank (1) and the vehicle body and straddling the upper groove (31).
Tank mounting structure and vehicle
A tank mounting structure includes a frame, a band, and a tank protector. The frame is configured to fix the tank. The band is configured to fix the tank in a state where the band sandwiches the tank with the frame and the band deforms in accordance with expansion or contraction of the tank. The tank protector is configured to be fixed to an inner side of the band or an outer side of the band.
Fuel tank manufacturing method and fuel tank
A method of manufacturing a fuel tank includes: passing a hollow molten resin projection, that projects-out in a wall-thickness direction and is formed at a molten resin sheet that becomes a tank structural member structuring a tank main body, through a mounting hole of a part-to-be-mounted that is placed on the molten resin sheet; and pressurizing the molten resin projection from an inner side, and causing at least a portion of the molten resin projection to jut-out to a peripheral portion of the mounting hole of the part-to-be-mounted.
