An electric vehicle includes first and second traveling motors, first and second rotational position sensors, and a measurement controller. The first rotational position sensor detects a rotation angle of the first traveling motor and has a first wheel-speed range in which a deviation of an original position of the first rotational position sensor is measurable. The second rotational position sensor detects a rotation angle of the second traveling motor and has a second wheel-speed range in which a deviation of an original position of the second rotational position sensor is measurable. The second wheel-speed range differs from the first wheel-speed range. The measurement controller executes, in an execution order, measurements of the deviations of the original positions of the first and second rotational position sensors while the electric vehicle is traveling, and switch the execution order on the basis of acceleration or deceleration data of the electric vehicle.

Integrated thermal management systems and associated thermal control methods for electrified vehicles

This disclosure details integrated thermal management systems for thermally managing electrified vehicle components. Exemplary integrated thermal management systems may include a thermal module assembly that may be integrated into a front end structure of a flexible modular platform of the electrified vehicle. The integrated thermal management systems may be controlled in a plurality of distinct thermal control modes for thermal managing various subcomponents and for addressing various vehicle auxiliary loads (e.g., passenger cabin heating loads, passenger cabin cooling loads, etc.).

SYSTEM FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE

A system for operating a vehicle, which has an internal combustion engine, an electric machine, a front axle with front wheels, a rear axle with rear wheels and a battery. The system is provided that the electric machine is in a direct force-acting relationship to the rear axle. The system includes at least one primary clutch arrangement, via which the electric machine can be connected to the wheels of at least one axle, and a secondary clutch arrangement via which the electric machine can be connected to the internal combustion engine. For starting the internal combustion engine, the electric machine is to be separated from the wheels of the at least one axle via the at least one primary clutch arrangement and is to be connected to the internal combustion engine via the secondary clutch arrangement.

Torque distribution system for redistributing torque between axles of a vehicle

An axle torque distribution system includes a memory and a control module. The memory stores a steering angle and a toque distribution algorithm. The control module executes the torque distribution algorithm to: obtain the steering angle; based on the steering angle, determine total lateral force requested for axles of a vehicle; based on the total lateral force requested, determine lateral forces requested for the axles while constraining lateral force distribution between the axles, where the constraining of the lateral force distribution includes, based on maximum lateral force capacities of tires of the vehicle, limiting the lateral forces requested for the axles; determine available longitudinal capacities for the axles based on the lateral forces requested respectively for the axles; determine torque capacities of the axles based on the lateral forces requested respectively for the axles; and control distribution of torque to the axles based on the torque capacities of the axles.
