VEHICLE IGNITION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Methods and systems are disclosed for activating a vehicle ignition system. An example vehicle includes an ignition system, a plurality of sensors, and a processor. The processor a processor is configured to determine, based on data received from the sensors, (i) that a person occupies a driver's seat of the vehicle, (ii) that a key fob corresponding to the vehicle is present, and (iii) that an input has been received at a shifter of the vehicle. The processor is also configured to responsively activate the ignition system.
Work machine having an electric drive
The present invention relates to a work machine, in particular to a construction machine and/or mining machine such as a crawler-type vehicle, a dump truck, mining device or the like, having an electric drive which comprises power electronics which have at least one transformer which has power connections covered by a cover for connecting power cables, wherein a manually actuable grounding device is provided for the all-pole grounding of the transformer and/or for short-circuiting an intermediate circuit connected thereto. The invention in this respect in particular also relates to such a transformer. In accordance with the invention, the manually actuable grounding device is coupled to a cover latch of the cover such that the cover can be unlatched by actuating the named grounding device.

System for Safe Passenger Departure from Autonomous Vehicle
Systems and methods for controlling an autonomous vehicle based on a passenger-initiated action are provided. In one example embodiment, a computer implemented method includes detecting, by one or more computing devices on-board an autonomous vehicle, a first status change of a vehicle door. The first status change is associated with a first user action associated with the vehicle door. The method includes detecting a second status change of the vehicle door. The second status change is associated with a second user action associated with the vehicle door. The method includes determining one or more vehicle actions based at least in part on at least one of the first status change or the second status change associated with the vehicle door. The method includes providing one or more control signals to one or more systems on-board the autonomous vehicle to implement the vehicle actions.
360° ROTATABLE HANDLE SHIFTER WITH SHIFTER POSITION RESET FUNCTIONALITY IN LIEU OF ROTATING HANDLE TO A FIXED POSITION
A rotary shifter with 360 rotation in each of clockwise and counter clockwise rotating directions. The shifter includes a package housing with a bezel cover. A cylindrical shaped plunger housing is secured to a rotary knob supported atop the housing and which is selectively rotatable in the clockwise direction from a Park gear position, in succession, to each of a Reverse gear position, a Neutral gear position and at least one Drive gear position, with further clockwise rotation preventing movement beyond a final one of the Drive gear positions. The knob is further selectively rotatable in a counter clockwise direction to return to the Park gear position, with additional permitted counter-clockwise rotation retaining the shifter in the Park gear position.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A MACHINE
A control system for a machine is provided. The control system may have a door sensor configured to generate a closed signal when a door of a cab of the machine is in a closed position. The control system may also have an Electronic Control Module (ECM) communicably coupled to the door sensor and configured to detect the closed signal, wherein the ECM is programmed to prevent release of a parking brake of the machine if the ECM does not detect the closed signal for the door.
Vehicle control apparatus
The power supply determining part determines whether there is a power supplied from outside of the vehicle to the battery at start-up of the engine. The alarming part alarms to prompt a driver to manually operate the automatic stop control part when it is determined that there is a power supplied from the outside by the power supply determining part.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DOOR STATUS DETECTION
A method and apparatus for detecting a status of a vehicle door are provided. The method includes detecting a status of a door based on at least one image received from a camera of a vehicle, determining a function to be performed from among a plurality of functions based on the detected status of the door, and performing the determined function. The method and apparatus may be implemented in a vehicle to display graphical indicators warning of a door being ajar or as a supplemental detection system to a hardwired door status sensor.
