Method and system for operating a touch-sensitive display device of a motor vehicle
A determination is made as to whether a driver or a front-seat passenger of the motor vehicle would like to operate a display device. If it is detected that only the driver would like to operate the display device, the display device is put in a first operating mode in which a graphic user interface is displayed exclusively in a driver-side display region of the display device. If it is detected that only the front-seat passenger of the motor vehicle would like to operate the display device, the display device is put in a second operating mode in which the graphic user interface is displayed exclusively in a front-seat-passenger-side display region of the display device. If it is detected that the driver and the front-seat passenger of the motor vehicle both would like to operate the display device, the display device is put in a third operating mode in which the graphic user interface is displayed in the driver-side display region and at least part of the graphic user interface is additionally also displayed in the front-seat-passenger-side display region.
Projection type display device and projection control method
Provided are a projection type display device and a projection control method capable of accurately performing information presentation to an operator of a vehicle even in an image light shielded state where image light to be projected onto a projection surface is shielded by an object. An HUD 10 that is mounted in a construction machine 100 having a windshield 5 notifies, in a case where it is detected that image light to be projected onto the windshield 5 is in an image light shielded state where at least a part of the image light is shielded by an object, such as part of the body of an operator of a vehicle, the presence of the state.
WIRELESS POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM AND NON-TRANSITORY TANGIBLE COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A wireless power supply system is provided to include a headset and a vehicle-side system. The headset, which is attached to a head of a driver of a vehicle, is configured (i) to generate an electric power by using a received electromagnetic wave, (ii) to actuate a sensor with the generated electric power to measure an activity of the driver, and (iii) to transmit activity measurement data indicating a measurement result. The vehicle-side system, which is provided to the vehicle, is configured (i) to transmit the electromagnetic wave, (ii) to receive the activity measurement data from the headset, and (iii) to monitor the activity of the driver based on the received measurement data. The transmitting or receiving state of the electromagnetic wave is monitored to provide a monitoring result, which is to be notified.
INFORMATION DISPLAY APPARATUS
A small-sized information display apparatus capable of displaying, as virtual images, different pieces of video image information at different positions in a wide area of a windshield. An embodiment has a virtual image optical system in which a flat display forming video image information is arranged, and that includes a projected member for causing virtual images to be displayed at a plurality of positions ahead of a vehicle by reflecting a video image on the flat display, thereby forming the virtual images at the plurality of positions so as to correspond to a viewpoint position of a driver. The virtual image optical system is arranged so that video image light fluxes for establishing the respective virtual images are separated from and independent of one another between the flat display and a concave mirror, and is configured by arranging different optical elements so as to correspond to the respective light fluxes.
Operating Device with Eye Tracker Unit and Method for Calibrating an Eye Tracker Unit of an Operating Device
The invention relates to a method for calibrating an eye tracker unit of an operating device, wherein at least one apparatus is controlled by means of the operating device depending on at least one user input and wherein, in the case of the method, at least one graphical element is displayed respectively by a control unit of the operating device in at least one predetermined usage step of the operating device and at least one piece of viewing direction information is determined by means of the eye tracker unit for the user viewing a screen. The invention provides that, from the at least one displayed element, an optically salient element, on which the user must focus with their eyes in order to successfully perform the usage step, is established, and calibration data for the calibration of the eye tracker unit is generated depending on a display position of the optically salient element on the screen and depending on the at least one piece of viewing direction information.
Display system and related method
A display system may include a first display apparatus and a second display apparatus. The first display apparatus may include a first image-display surface. The second display apparatus may include a second image-display surface. At least one of the first image-display surface and the second image-display surface may perform at least one of extending and bending in response to at least one of a first condition and a second condition. The first condition may be related to that the second image-display surface moves relative to the first image-display surface. The second condition may be related to that a distance between the first image-display surface and the second image-display surface becomes equal to a predetermined length.
VEHICULAR DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicular display device includes a display that emits, as display light, a display image projected onto a windshield, a transparent cover that blocks an opening of a housing and transmits the display light, and a reflecting mirror that reflects the display light at a position where an optical path of the display light from the display to the windshield is folded back. The transparent cover includes a light shielding wall disposed on an optical path of external light incident from an outside of a vehicle, reflected by the transparent cover, and directed from the transparent cover to an eye point via the windshield, reflects the display light emitted from the display toward the reflecting mirror, transmits the display light reflected from the reflecting mirror toward the windshield, and reflects the external light toward the light shielding wall.
Method for providing a display in a motor vehicle, and motor vehicle
A method includes detecting a direction of view of at least one passenger as an occupant of the motor vehicle; and providing a display with information about at least one object in a landscape of the motor vehicle viewed by the at least one passenger, the at least one object not being relevant to road traffic, such that said information is provided in an area in the direction of view of the at least one passenger, wherein, when multiple passengers of the motor vehicle are detected, a direction of view of each passenger is detected, such that a display with information about the at least one object in the landscape of the motor vehicle viewed by at least two passengers is provided in an area in which the direction of view of the at least two passengers intersect.
Shading device in a motor vehicle
A motor vehicle includes a passenger display with a switchable view protection device that is actively switched in predetermined operating states so that display contents shown on the passenger display cannot be seen from the seating area of the driver. The vehicle includes a shading device having an illuminant oriented toward the passenger display and is controlled by a control unit and which, in order to prevent moving residual fragments that can still be detected from the driver's seat despite a view protection device which is switched to shading, externally illuminates the passenger display.
Display and voice output control system of vehicle
A display and voice output control system of a vehicle on which automated driving is performed includes a display device, a voice output device and a controller. The controller controls a notification of a recommended behavior by the display device and the voice output device. In the notification control, it is judged whether or not a notification condition of the recommended behavior is satisfied. If it is judged that the notification condition is satisfied, it is judged whether a notification relaxation condition of the recommended behavior is satisfied based on a status of a driver and a driving status of the vehicle. If it is judged that the notification relaxation conditions is satisfied, relaxation notification processing is executed. Otherwise, normal notification processing is executed. In the relaxation notification processing, an output status of the recommended behavior in the voice output device is controlled to an inactive state.
