Information processing device, vehicle, computer-readable storage medium, and information processing method

An information processing device includes a display control unit which controls a display unit which can display an image of a character and a graphical user interface (GUI) which accepts an operation instruction for an apparatus. The information processing device includes an obtaining unit which obtains information indicating an operation content of an apparatus intended by a user. The display control unit determines the presentation duration for which a presentation image of the character operating the GUI is displayed based on the operation content and causes a display unit to display the presentation image for the presentation duration.

VEHICLE USER INTERFACE (UI) MANAGEMENT

According to one or more aspects, a system for vehicle user interface (UI) management includes an interface component, an operation component, a presentation logic, and a rendering component. The interface component may include a display portion located at a first position and an input portion located at a second position different than the first position. The input portion may receive one or more user inputs and include a touch sensitive portion, a first button, and a second button. The operation component may select one or more modes for a UI based on one or more of the user inputs. The presentation logic may generate one or more objects based on a selected mode and presence information associated with one or more of the user inputs. The rendering component may render one or more of the objects to form a composite image at the display portion.

Exchangeable batteries for use by electric vehicles

An electric vehicle including an electric motor is provided. The electric vehicle having a receptacle slot integrated in the electric vehicle, and the receptacle slot providing a connection for providing power to the electric motor. A battery is configured for sliding into the receptacle slot to enable electrical engagement of the battery with the connection when in the receptacle slot. The battery is further configured for sliding out of the receptacle slot to remove the battery from electrical engagement with the connection. The battery is configured to store and supply charge to power the electric motor of the electric vehicle. The battery is replaceable by sliding the battery out of the receptacle slot and sliding in another battery into the receptacle slot to further supply charge to power the electric motor of the electric vehicle with said another battery. The battery and said another battery each have a respective portion that is accessible for enabling its hand-removal and hand-insertion out of and into the receptacle slot. A computer is on-board the electric vehicle. The computer is interfaced with the connection of the receptacle slot to obtain a level of charge of the battery present in the receptacle slot. A battery level indicator of the electric vehicle is provided. The battery level indicator configured to provide information regarding the level of charge of the battery in the receptacle slot.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE

An in-vehicle device includes a gesture detection unit for recognizing a user's hand at a predetermined range; an information control unit controlling information output to a display; and an in-vehicle device control unit receiving input from a control unit equipped in a vehicle to control the in-vehicle device. When the gesture detection unit detects a user's hand at a predetermined position, the output information control unit triggers the display to display candidates of an operation executed by the in-vehicle device control unit by associating the candidates with the user's hand motions. When the gesture detection unit detects the user's hand, and the user's hand has thereafter moved from the position, the information control unit changes a selection method or a control guide of the operation to be executed by the in-vehicle device control unit, which is displayed on the display, to subject matter which matches the control unit.

ON-BOARD OPERATION DEVICE

An on-board operation device with improved operability is provided. The on-board operation device includes: a display unit configured to display a GUI object; a first detection unit configured to detect an approach position of an indicator on a display surface of the display unit; a process performing unit configured to perform a process corresponding to the GUI object displayed at the approach position detected by the first detection unit; a second detection unit disposed at an outer edge of the display surface of the display unit and configured to detect an approach position of the indicator; and a display control unit configured to enlarge and display the GUI object on the display unit when the approach position of the indicator is detected by the second detection unit.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A DEVICE

A method for operating a device, wherein a graphical user interface is generated and displayed on a display area. The user interface has at least one operating object assigned to an application program for controlling the device. Output data are generated and displayed in the region of the assigned operating object, wherein the application program has a function having exactly two activatable program states. The first program state is activated and the output data are generated based on the activated program state. An input gesture is detected based on the user interface. The operating object has a first region and a second region and the input gesture is assigned to the first region or to the second region.
