PRESSURE SENSITIVE ILLUMINATION SYSTEM
Implementations of the present disclosure provide a human interface including a light emitter and a pressure sensitive material. The pressure sensitive material has electrical properties configured to vary in relation to an amount of pressure applied thereto. The light emitter is coupled to the pressure sensitive material, wherein variation of the electrical properties of the pressure sensitive material causes variation of at least one illumination characteristic. Advantageously, the pressure sensitive material provides an additional control component allowing bundling of controls in a simpler interface. At the same time, operation of the human interface in low-light or distracted environments is facilitated and rendered more intuitive by incorporation of the light emitter into its operation.

A method for controlling a motor vehicle comfort system, wherein the control is carried out with the aid of a touch-sensitive display and user interface assigned to the comfort system. In at least one operating mode, the virtual representation of at least one body having a three-dimensional appearance is generated in a first position on the touch-sensitive display and user interface and at least one function that can be executed by the comfort system is represented on the surface of the body, wherein the body is moved after rotating around a horizontal or vertical axis into another position in which at least one other function which can be executed by the comfort system is represented on the visible surface of the body.
Carrier for exchangeable batteries for use by electric vehicles
Battery carriers that provide replaceable and exchangeable batteries and systems are provided. One example battery carrier is for batteries used in electric vehicles. The battery carrier includes a housing having a plurality of slots, and each of the slots is configured to receive a battery that is configured for hand-insertion and hand-removal from the battery carrier. Each slot and each battery has a form factor that is dimensioned to at least partially fit within ones of the slots. A plurality of electrical connectors is also provided. Each electrical connector is disposed inside respective ones of the slots and each electrical connector is configured to mate with an electrical connector of the battery when present in a slot of the plurality of slots and each electrical connector is configured to provide power transfer between a power source to which the battery carrier is connected and a battery when present in one of the slots. Further provided is electronics integrated with the battery carrier. The electronics include communications logic for connecting to a network and logic for communicating with batteries when present in slots of the battery carrier to identify a level of charge. The communications logic is configured to communicate with a server that obtains information regarding the level of charge of batteries present in the battery carrier. The server is configured to process requests from user accounts to find batteries having availability for use by an electric vehicle. The server is configured to enable reservation for at least one battery of the battery carrier via a user account.
VEHICULAR INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A vehicular information processing apparatus includes a storage unit in which plural main contents which are pieces of information relating to vehicular devices and plural sub-contents which are pieces of information relating to setting items of the vehicular devices are stored, a touch screen display that displays the main contents and at least part of the sub-contents and receives an input manipulation, an input detection unit that detects a first manipulation or a second manipulation on the basis of the input manipulation and a display control unit that causes the touch screen display to display the main contents and the at least part of the sub-contents, and controls a corresponding vehicular device when the first manipulation or the second manipulation is performed for a main content or a sub-content.
VEHICLE COCKPIT SCREEN OPERATION METHOD AND RELATED DEVICE
Embodiments of this application disclose a vehicle cockpit screen operation method and a related device. The method includes: A head unit device obtains attribute information of an operation on a first screen in a plurality of screens in a cockpit; the head unit device determines a second screen from the plurality of screens based on the attribute information; and the head unit device displays a mirror interface of the second screen on the first screen. In embodiments of this application, when different screens in the cockpit need to be operated, only mirrors of the different screens need to be switched, and a user does not need to change a location of the user, thereby improving convenience of an operation on a screen in a vehicle cockpit. In addition, there is no need to add physical hardware to implement operations on the different screens in the cockpit. This can reduce hardware costs.
Snow groomer with touch screen control user interface
A snow groomer with touch screen controls for tensioning tracks, suspension, drive unit, accessories and other, comprising: a plurality of tracks; at least one accessory device selected in a group comprising a shovel or blade, a tiller assembly and a winch assembly; and a user interface comprising a display and a selector device for receiving commands from an operator, preferably the selector device is a device that detects a touch of an operator on the display; a control unit coupled to the user interface, in particular to the display, for sending images to be displayed to the display and receiving commands from the display which are related to the touches detected; wherein the control unit is configured to display on the display a main screen divided into a plurality of main screen portions, wherein the plurality of main screen portions are displayed together in the main screen and each in a different position in the main screen; wherein each main screen portion is configured to display an image that illustrates one or more pieces of data and/or information correlated to the tracked vehicle; the control unit is configured to detect one or more selections made by an operator, preferably on the display by means of a touch, corresponding to the type(s) of data or information that are required to be displayed in each portion of the display, and to display a main screen portion in each portion of the display, wherein each main screen portion is configured to illustrate a respective image relating to the data or information selected by the operator for said portion of the display.
Vehicle display control for color-impaired viewers
A method of controlling a color display screen aboard a motor vehicle includes performing, via a host computer, a color calibration test of a user of the motor vehicle in which the user is subjected to a calibrated set of color-coded test information. The method includes receiving a color perception response of the user to the calibrated set of color-coded test information via the host computer. Additionally, the method includes mapping a reduced visual gamut of the user via the host computer using the color perception response, and then commanding adjustment of user-specific color settings of the motor vehicle using the reduced visual gamut to thereby accommodate a color perception deficiency of the user.
