Vehicle and control method for the vehicle
A vehicle includes a display unit for displaying a first character input User Interface (UI) in which a plurality of characters are arranged to surround a predetermined reference point, a touch input apparatus having a concave area for detecting a touch gesture of selecting one character of the plurality of characters, and a controller for controlling the display unit to display, wherein if the number of pre-stored completed character combinations corresponding to an input character combination configured with at least one character sequentially selected according to the touch gesture detected by the touch input apparatus is smaller than or equal to a threshold value, a second character input UI in which the completed character combinations corresponding to the input character combination are arranged to surround the reference point.
DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE
A display control device includes a receiving portion configured to receive operation information input to a touch input portion, the touch input portion being located away from a display portion; and a processing portion configured to control display on the display portion in accordance with the operation information that is received by the receiving portion. The processing portion is configured to cause the display portion to display an image in which a cursor is disposed inside a plurality of icons that are circumferentially disposed, and the processing portion is configured to move the cursor to an icon among the plurality of icons, the icon being located in a direction of a slide operation received by the receiving portion.
User interface and method for assisting a user with the operation of an operating unit
User interface and process to support a user in the operation of a touch-sensitive control unit. A presence of a means of input, such as a finger of the user, is detected in a predefined first area relative to the control unit. In response to the detection, an acknowledgement may be produced via a predefined first audio output including a first sound sign, which is associated in a context-specific manner with a button displayed on the control unit.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR CONTROLLING A VEHICLE
A method, apparatus (11), vehicle (1), and computer program for detecting user inputs for controlling a vehicle (1). The method comprising: detecting a combination user input where the combination user input comprises a first gesture input detected by a first means for detecting user inputs and a second gesture input detected by a second means for detecting user inputs wherein the first means for detecting user inputs and the second means for detecting user inputs are provided on a steering wheel (3) of the vehicle (1); and enabling a function associated with the combination user input to be performed.
DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD
A controller is configured to control an image displayed on a touch-operable display. The controller includes a processor that executes a program to control the image to display a first object and a second object such that at least a part of the second object is displayed as overlapping the first object. The processor detects a start trigger indicating that a user has started scrolling to the left or right on the display, and increases a relative position between a first object and a second object at a prescribed acceleration with a passage of time from detection of the start trigger. The processor detects a stop trigger indicating that the user has stopped scrolling, and reduces the relative position between the first object and the second object at a prescribed deceleration with a passage of time from detection of the detected stop trigger.
Operating device with character input and delete function
An operating device includes an input device that receives a character input of a user, a display device that displays input characters in an input field, and a delete device that deletes at least one character displayed in the input field in a deleting process. The delete device is configured, during the deleting process, in the input field, to move a delete element successively over in each case one of the displayed characters and in so doing in each case to delete the character or to mark it for a deletion to be carried out at the end of the deleting process. The delete device can also be configured to, during the deleting process, to detect a sliding movement of a user's finger on at least one touch-sensitive touch field and to control the movement of the delete element depending on the detected sliding movement.
Cluster-radio information interchange system for enhancing human-machine interface experience
A display system for a vehicle includes an instrument cluster having a cluster display constructed and arranged, in a default cluster mode of operation, to display vehicle operating information. A radio display is separate from and disposed generally adjacent to the cluster display. The radio display is constructed and arranged, in a default radio mode of operation, to display media information. A controller is in communication with the cluster display and with the radio display. The controller is constructed and arranged, based on an input, to cause the media information to be shown on the cluster display in place of the operating information displayed during the default cluster mode of operation. Simultaneously, the operating information can be shown on the radio display in place of the radio information.
VEHICLE-MOUNTED EQUIPMENT OPERATION SUPPORT SYSTEM
A vehicle-mounted equipment operating device includes an operation unit allowing an operator to perform an operation with a finger, an operation mode detection unit detecting an operation mode of the operator, a display device, and a control device capable of performing display control of the operation-related information on the display device and shifting a screen from a current level screen to a level screen of a level according to an output signal of the operation mode detection unit, and the control device displays a home screen icon, which is an icon representing an operation mode with respect to the operation unit for a guide to a home screen in a lower level screen and expresses both a house and an arrow by joining an upper side of a rectangle and a base side of a triangle, on the lower level screen as the operation-related information.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method and non-transitory computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus including: a control unit to generate a display image including running images of one or more applications each containing one or more operation device images attaining predetermined functions; an output unit to display the display image generated by the control unit; and an input unit to accept an operation performed on the operation device image contained in the running image, wherein the control unit extracts the functions associated with the operation device images equal to or smaller than a predetermined maximum count and contained in the running image of the application, based on priority levels of the functions associated with the operation device images contained in one or more applications, and generates the display image including the running image containing the operation device images associated with the extracted functions.
Global and contextual vehicle computing system controls
A system may include global controls, each associated with a different one of a plurality of user interface screens of a vehicle; contextual controls, each associated with a command function available from a selected one of the plurality of user interface screens; and a vehicle processor configured to display a current one of the plurality of user interface screens, and update command functions associated with the contextual controls responsive to user input to the global controls. A method may include, responsive to receiving an indication of a user input press of a global control, updating command functions associated with contextual controls in accordance with command function available from a user interface screen associated with the global control; and upon receiving a user input release of the global control within a predetermined threshold period of time, navigating to the user interface screen associated with the global control.
