A control system for a vehicle includes a touch screen, a Controller Area Network (CAN) microcontroller, and an embedded computer assembly (ECA). The touch screen is configured to receive a user input. The touch screen is physically mounted directly on either side of a steering wheel of the vehicle. The CAN microcontroller is configured to communicate with a CAN bus of the vehicle. The ECA includes processing circuitry configured to obtain a user input from the touch screen and provide a control signal to the CAN microcontroller and the CAN bus of the vehicle to perform a requested vehicle function according to the user input. The touch screen and the ECA are retrofit on the vehicle and the ECA is configured to intersect, suppress, modify, or reproduce communications on the CAN bus of the vehicle.

A vehicle structure includes an instrument panel, an in-vehicle device projecting toward a vehicle-upper side with respect to an upper surface of the instrument panel, and a cover panel that covers the in-vehicle device to expose a front surface of the in-vehicle device to a vehicle cabin. The cover panel includes an upper panel portion facing at least an upper part of a back surface of the in-vehicle device, and a lower panel portion facing at least a lower part of the back surface of the in-vehicle device and connected to the upper panel portion. The in-vehicle device includes a terminal provided on the back surface and configured such that a connector of a harness is connectable to the terminal, and a regulation member configured to regulate a position of the harness to a vehicle-lower side with respect to the terminal when the connector is connected to the terminal.

A user interface system for a vehicle includes: at least one display unit provided in the vehicle; a detachable interface apparatus configured to be detachably attached to any one of the at least one display unit provided in the vehicle; at least one processor; and a computer-readable medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations that include: in a state in which the detachable interface apparatus is attached to a selected display unit among the at least one display unit of the vehicle, determining a first user menu corresponding to the selected display unit; and displaying, on the selected display unit or on the detachable interface apparatus, the first user menu corresponding to the selected display unit.

The second position is a position where the light-blocking portion covers 80% or higher of the area of a windshield of the vehicle.

The vehicle display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a first display and a second display mounted in a vehicle; a signal processing device configured to perform signal processing for at least one of the first display or the second display; and a second signal processing device configured to perform signal processing, wherein the signal processing device is configured to determine whether the second signal processing device is a master device or a slave device, based on number information of processors in the second signal processing device and information on support of non-uniform memory access. Accordingly, data exchange between the plurality of signal processing devices may be performed efficiently.
