PRESENTATION TO USER OF INDICATION OF OBJECT AT WHICH ANOTHER PERSON IS LOOKING
In one aspect, a device includes at least one processor, a display accessible to the at least one processor, and storage accessible to the at least one processor. The storage includes instructions executable by the at least one processor to receive input regarding an object at which one person is looking and to present, to another person via the display, a graphical indication regarding the object.
BRAKE CONTROL DISPLAY UNIT WITH AMBIENT LIGHT DIMMING
A brake control system includes a display, a processor, and a light sensor. The processor controls brakes of a towed vehicle. The processor also controls a brightness of the display based on information received from the light sensor. The light sensor may include a light dependent resistor or a photoresistor. The processor selectively sets or adjusts the brightness of the display based on sensed ambient light.
IN-VEHICLE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM COMMUNICATING WITH UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
A method performed by an in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system of a vehicle includes identifying an out-of-sight view of the vehicle, determining that information related to the identified out-of-sight view needs to be received from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), identifying coordinates on the identified out-of-sight view to locate the UAV, based on an environment condition at a current position and at a future position of the vehicle, transmitting a signal indicating the coordinates to the UAV, and receiving the information related to the identified out-of-sight view from the UAV located at the coordinates.
Vehicle Driver Nudge System
A vehicle intent indication system includes a sensor, a display, and a controller. The sensor is configured to detect an object in an operating environment of a vehicle. The display is configured to display a pattern visible to a person in the operating environment of the vehicle. The display includes light emitting components configured to be selectively illuminated to display the pattern. The controller is configured to receive information from the sensor indicating that the object has been detected in the operating environment and to cause the light emitting components to be selectively illuminated to display the pattern in response to receiving the information from the sensor. The pattern in configured to inform the person in the operating environment of the vehicle of an intent of the vehicle to perform a driving maneuver.
USER-PROVIDED AUTOMOTIVE DATA COLLECTION
A system for user-provided automotive data collection includes a receiver configured to receive signals from respective electronics in respective automotive vehicles in a geographical area, the signals indicating respective amounts of fuel or respective amounts of fuel relative to capacity in the respective automotive vehicles' tanks, and a processor configured to aggregate the respective amounts of fuel to approximate a total amount of fuel relative to capacity for the geographical area, and to allocate fuel distribution to gas stations in the geographical area based on the total amount of fuel relative to capacity for the geographical area.
VEHICLE-MOUNTED APPARATUS, PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A vehicle-mounted apparatus (10) according to the present invention includes: a surrounding object information acquisition unit (11) that acquires surrounding object information relating to a surrounding object being an object detected in surroundings of a vehicle; a line-of-sight information acquisition unit (12) that acquires line-of-sight information of a driver of the vehicle; an operation information acquisition unit (13) that acquires operation information indicating an operation performed by the driver on the vehicle; an operation intention information generation unit (14) that generates operation intention information associating an operation indicated by the operation information with the surrounding object causing the operation indicated by the operation information, based on the surrounding object information, the line-of-sight information, and the operation information; and a transmission and reception unit (15) that transmits the operation intention information to a surrounding vehicle.
System and method for displaying infrastructure information on an augmented reality display
A method for displaying infrastructure information on a multi-focal plane augmented reality display of a vehicle includes receiving infrastructure data. The infrastructure data includes information about a location of at least one infrastructure along a route of the vehicle. The method further includes receiving vehicle-location data. The vehicle-location data includes information about a location of the vehicle. The method further includes determining a position of the vehicle relative to the location of the least one infrastructure using the infrastructure data and the vehicle-location data. The method further includes transmitting a command signal to the multi-focal plane augmented reality display to display a virtual image showing the infrastructure information of the infrastructure on the multi-focal plane augmented reality display.
LANE CHANGE TIMING INDICATOR
The disclosure includes embodiments of a lane change timing indicator for a connected vehicle. In some embodiments, a method includes determining a time and a path for an ego vehicle to change lanes. In some embodiments, the method includes displaying, on an electronic display device of the ego vehicle, one or more graphics that depict the time and the path.
VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS VIA WIRELESS ACCESS VEHICULAR ENVIRONMENT
A vehicle heads-up display (HUD) includes a smart phone or tablet computer with at least one processor running at least one computer program adapted to enable the HUD to: (i) establish a connection to an on board unit (OBU) of the vehicle using the mechanisms provided by ICMPv6 for IPv6 router discovery, and acquire an IPv6 address through the mechanism of Stateless address auto configuration (SLAAC); (ii) process an authentication challenge from a Roadway Authorization Server (RAS); and (iii) respond to an authentication challenge from said Roadway Authorization Server (RAS).
Image projection apparatus
Information related to a vehicle can be displayed by projecting an image based on the information on a road surface or the like. An image projection apparatus that projects an image includes: an acquisition unit that acquires information to be displayed; and an image projection unit that projects the image based on the information to be displayed acquired by the acquisition unit.
