VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat including a seat that includes a seat cushion and a seat back; an inclination drive portion configured to incline the seat back; and a slide mechanism configured to enable the seat to slide in a vehicle front-rear direction, in which the slide mechanism includes: a slide rail supporting to be able to move in a sliding manner in the front-rear direction; a slide drive portion configured to enable the upper rail to slide with respect to the lower rail; and a mode switching switch configured to enable mode switching, in the normal mode, a slide amount used by the seat when the vehicle is driven is used, in the relaxing mode, a slide amount at a position rearward with respect to the rearmost end in the normal mode is used, and, when the relaxing mode is switched to the normal mode, in a case where the seat back is inclined, the seat back is raised to the normal mode, and then the seat is moved forward to the normal mode.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes: a seat cushion having a seat cushion body and a seat cushion front portion, the seat cushion front portion being provided in front of the seat cushion body and configured to be in contact with and distanced from the seat cushion body, and the seat cushion being configured to be rotated so as to be set to a traveling position facing a front of a vehicle and an ingress and egress position facing a side door; and an expansion and contraction mechanism configured such that the seat cushion front portion is brought into contact with the seat cushion body as the seat cushion rotates from the traveling position to the ingress and egress position, and the seat cushion front portion is distanced away from the seat cushion body as the seat cushion rotates from the ingress and egress position to the traveling position.
VEHICLE SEAT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF STORAGE
A vehicle seat assembly and controller are provided. The assembly includes a front seat having a front seat bottom and a front seat back mounted adjacent to the front seat bottom. A sensor cooperates with at least one of the front seat bottom and the front seat back. An actuator is disposed on at least one of the seat bottom and seat back. A rear seat assembly is behind the front seat assembly. The vehicle seat controller is in communication with the sensor and the actuator. The controller receives an input indicative of a request to move a rear seat assembly to a storage position. The controller conveys a signal to an actuator to move a front seat assembly to an accommodation position in response to the input.
LATERAL SLIDE REMOVABLE SEAT
A rail and carrier system for first and second removable seats of a motor vehicle is described. The rail and carrier system includes two lower rails fixedly attached to and positioned laterally along a floor of the motor vehicle. Two upper rails are nested with and laterally slidable within each of the lower rails. The rail and carrier system further includes four cross brackets laterally spaced apart and arranged perpendicular to the upper rails, two connecting the left upper rails, and two connecting the right upper rails. Covers are connected to and extend between the cross brackets.
VEHICLE SEAT
A seat for a motor vehicle includes a cap in the seat back for covering an ISOFIX bar. The cap includes a cap body and a grip portion. The grip portion includes a scoop portion in the cap body for receiving a hand and an indented portion longitudinally forward of the scoop. A second seat for a motor vehicle includes a frame and an inner cover on the frame. The inner cover being generally L-shaped and located on a laterally inward side of the frame. The inner cover includes a smooth lower external surface and a smooth and recessed external upper surface.
GARNISH CAP INCLUDING LIVING HINGE FOR A VEHICLE SEAT
A seat for a motor vehicle includes a seatbelt integrated into a seat back of the seat and a seatbelt mechanism for providing access to the seatbelt. The seat further includes an extended base attached to the seat, a raised and curved section of the extended base for transitioning the seatbelt from a vertical orientation inside the seatback to a horizontal orientation for use, an arcuate slot atop the extended base, the seatbelt being threaded through the arcuate slot, the arcuate slot preventing the seatbelt from becoming tangled and misaligned, a garnish for covering the seatbelt mechanism, a fastener, and a cap for covering the fastener. The fastener fastens the garnish and the cap to the extended base.
SPACER FOR LATERAL SLIDE REMOVABLE SEAT
A rail and carrier system for first and second removable seats for a motor vehicle includes two lower rails fixedly attached to and positioned laterally along a floor of the motor vehicle. Two upper rails are nested with and laterally slidable within each of the first lower rails. Cross brackets are laterally spaced apart and arranged perpendicular to the upper rails. Covers are connected to and extend between the cross brackets. Spacers are located laterally between upper rails within the lower rails. The spacers include a first shoe located in the lower rail, a second shoe located in the lower rail, and a first bracket connecting the first shoe and second shoe. The first and second shoes prevent the upper rails from contacting each other.
END BRACKET FOR LATERAL SLIDE RAIL FOR REMOVABLE SEAT
A bracket for use in a rail and carrier system for a removable seat for a motor vehicle, the rail and carrier system having first and second lower rails, first and second upper rails nested within the first lower rail, third and fourth upper rails nested within the second lower rail, includes a generally U-shaped end that is substantially similar to a U-shaped cross-sectional profile of the first and second lower rails, the U-shaped end having a center portion and two upper portions, and a generally L-shaped extension extending from a bottom of the center portion, the L-shaped extension having a first portion that is attached to the one of the first and second lower rails and a second portion that extends upward from the first portion. The second portion blocks movement of one of the first, second, third, and fourth upper rails.
REMOVABLE SEAT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A removable seat for a motor vehicle includes two hook fasteners for removably attaching the seat to front strikers that are rotatable about a lateral axis through the front strikers. A bar extends between the first hook fastener and the second hook fastener that is parallel to the lateral axis. The bar contacts the cover to prevent further rotation when the seat is rotated about the lateral axis to prevent over-rotation of the seat.
Cable driven head restraint for a reversible seat
An improved head restraint is provided for a reversible seat that is movable between two use positions, namely a forward-facing position and a rearward-facing position. The improved head restraint automatically pivots to a fold flat position upon unlocking of the seat, wherein the head restraint is positioned in this fold flat position during reversing seat movement, so as to reduce the seat height and clear the vehicle headliner. The head restraint is cable driven and operably connected to the seat linkages that control movement of the seat cushion and seat back during reversing movement. As such, the seat movement articulates the head restraint so that the head restraint angles forwardly toward the occupant in the forward-facing position and rearwardly toward the occupant in the rearward-facing position, while permitting the head restraint to automatically articulate to the fold flat position during travel of the seat between these two use positions.
