Folding seat
Vehicle seat comprising a backrest, a seat part and a seat part substructure, the seat part substructure being mounted such that it can swivel about a first swivel axis arranged in the width direction of the seat in order to move the seat part substructure together with the seat part from a sitting position into an upright position, a lower region of the backrest with respect to a height direction of the seat and a rear region of the seat part and/or of the seat part substructure with respect to a longitudinal direction of the seat being interconnected in the sitting position by at least one releasable connection means and not being interconnected in the upright position.
Systems and methods for delivering discrete autonomous in-vehicle notifications
Method and apparatus are disclosed for providing discrete autonomous notifications to a passenger of a vehicle. An example vehicle includes a plurality of seats, a plurality of audio transducers, and a processor. The processor is configured to determine a passenger seat corresponding to a passenger having a predetermined destination, determine a notification based on the predetermined destination, and transmit, via one or more of the plurality of audio transducers, a notification to the passenger based on a determined passenger head position.
VEHICLE SEAT
According to an illustrative embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a vehicle seat including: a seat cushion that serves as a seating portion which receives a load of an occupant; an ottoman that is connected to a front portion of the seat cushion; a base that supports the seat cushion from a vehicle floor in a seating position at which the seat cushion receives the occupant and in a tip-up position at which the seat cushion is tipped up rearward from the seating position; and a folding mechanism that moves the ottoman between an initial position at which the ottoman is positioned at the front portion of the seat cushion and a folding position at which the ottoman is retracted beneath the seat cushion in accordance with a movement of the seat cushion from the seating position and the tip-up position.
OCCUPANT SUPPORT DEVICE FOR A SEAT
An occupant support device (OSD) for a seat, comprises a flexible membrane having a first end and a second end. The flexible membrane is coupleable to a seat proximate the first end and the second end of the flexible membrane. The OSD further comprises at least one stiffening member for stiffening the flexible membrane. The at least one stiffening member is positionable so that the flexible membrane is generally stiffer in a longitudinal direction than in a transverse direction. A seat comprising the OSD, an array of seats comprising the OSD and an aircraft comprising the OSD are also provided.
Accessory device for chairs and seats for supporting foot
The embodiments herein provide a foot supporting apparatus/accessory device for chairs and seats. Each footrest comprises a base for supporting a foot and connected to a ring through a pair of strings passed through a pair of tubes. The ring is coupled to a hanging mechanism attached to clamp for attaching the foot rest to the back of seat at the front of a passenger in train/bus/airplane. The base is a fabric foldable to take a shape of the foot of the passenger in hanging condition. Several knots are provided at a plurality of locations along a length of the hanging mechanism. The clamp is engaged with a knot based on desired height to hang and hold the foot rest at a desired height to provide a desired leg space to enable the passenger to move the foot freely and at any degrees of freedom.
ADJUSTABLE SEATING AREA FOR PERSON WITH REDUCED MOBILITY
Adjusting a seat to accommodate a person with reduced mobility (PRM) device. Specifically, a seating apparatus includes a seat having a seatback and a base that is foldable against the seatback to accommodate the PRM device and a console adjacent to the seat. At least a portion of the console is vertically adjustable with respect to the seatback to enable use of the console from the PRM device when the PRM device is positioned proximate to the seatback.
Air-conditioning arrangement for a vehicle, and vehicle
The present disclosure relates to an air-conditioning arrangement for a vehicle. The air-conditioning arrangement includes at least one fluid channel, which has at least two identically designed connection devices. The air-conditioning arrangement includes at least one movable vehicle seat. The present disclosure also relates to a corresponding vehicle having such an air-conditioning arrangement. The at least one vehicle seat includes an air-conditioning component that outputs a temperature-controlled airflow from the vehicle seat. The air-conditioning component can be removably connected to the connection devices of the at least one fluid channel via a movable fluid connection to establish fluid communication between the air-conditioning component and the fluid channel.
Head restraint apparatus
A head restraint device for improving quality of sleep inside passenger carriers includes a seat attachment assembly and a head restraint assembly including two elastic straps that are attached to the seat strap of the attachment assembly. The restraint assembly includes two adjusters coupled to the two elastic straps respectively, two head straps adjustably attached to the two adjusters, a face strap permanently attached to one head strap and attached to the other head strap via a loop and hook fastener. The two adjusters allow the face strap placed at center and the device to fit heads of different sizes. The face strap of bigger width provides better eye coverage and comfort. The restraint assembly restrains the movement of a head while the elastic straps absorb head motion and keep the passenger sleeping. The attachment assembly includes an adjuster for tightly attaching the device to a seat back or headrest.
Friction stop device
Deployment apparatus (10) including a deployment object (12), a deployment arm (16) with a first end (22) coupled to the deployment object and a second end (24) having a pivot (26), and a hinge assembly (18) rotatably attached to the pivot of the deployment arm. The hinge assembly (18) includes an enclosure (44) and a friction stop device (82) disposed within the enclosure such that the friction stop device includes a friction portion (80) configured to be pressed against a lateral surface of the pivot (26) of the deployment arm such that the friction portion provides a predetermined torque. The predetermined torque may be calculated based on maintaining a deployed angle of the deployment arm (16) such that the deployment object (12) is held in a raised deployed position.
DEVICE FOR TRIGGERING A GAS SPRING AND SEATING UNIT COMPRISING ADJUSTABLE BACKREST HAVING A GAS SPRING AND SUCH AN APPARATUS
A device for triggering a gas spring (1) comprising an actuation device (2), an actuating element (4) which is operatively connected to the actuating device (2) and which acts directly on an end trigger (3) of the gas spring (1), wherein the actuating element (4) is configured as a lever arrangement (5) which reduces or multiplies the force or path, wherein one of the levers (trigger lever (6)) presses directly onto the trigger (3), wherein the actuating device (2) comprises an electrical magnet unit (30), which is provided with electric energy via an electrical supply and can be activated via a switch unit (60), characterised in that there is a control unit (40) which can be activated via the switching unit (60) and activates the electric magnet unit (30) according to the signals of the switch unit (60), wherein the the magnet unit (30) is actuated such that for a predetermined time interval an override phase of the magnet unit (30) with an increased voltage and a subsequent holding phase with a reduced voltage are produced.
