Compact seat kinematic
The present invention generally relates to passenger seats. Some embodiments are related to a compact seat kinematic for moving a seat from a retracted position to an extended position. In some embodiments an intermediate component may be provided for coupling between a lower frame and an upper seat portion. The intermediate component (230) may translate in a forward direction relative to the lower frame and may translate the upper seat portion in the forward direction relative to the intermediate component. Other embodiments relate to a seat backrest recline system that may provide constant ratio of speed and force and may forgo the need for calibration.

Provided is a vehicle including the following: a vehicle body having side walls on both sides in a width direction that is perpendicular to the direction of travel, and having an expanded portion between the upper end and the lower end of the side wall, the expanded portion being expanded further outward in the width direction than the upper end and the lower end; and a seat provided in the vehicle body and having a seatback along the side wall and a seat surface that extends inward in the width direction of the vehicle body from the seatback, the portion of the rear surface of the seatback that faces the side wall and that protrudes the farthest towards the side wall being disposed in a position facing the expanded portion of an in-vehicle-side lateral surface of the side wall.
Side headrest with chin support and clamp
Apparatus, devices, systems, and methods for clamping a length adjustable hook on a portable headrest with chin support to a top or side of a seat back, which is both adjustable and foldable to be portable for ease in transport. The horizontal chin rest pivotally attached to the bottom of a vertical member allows a sitting person's head to be supported in an upright position, while restricting movement both forward and side to side. The headrest can have telescoping vertical members which are length adjustable for different sized users. The chin support can have a cushion that is rotatable at different increments for comfort. The cushion can be slotted to allow the vertical member to be placed inside the slotted portion.
Seat mounting structure and train having same
The disclosure provides a seat mounting structure and a train having same. The seat mounting structure includes a seat body (10), a side wall mounting member (20) and a suspension mounting rod (40), wherein a first end of the seat body is connected to a carriage side wall (30) by the side wall mounting member; one end of the suspension mounting rod is connected to a carriage roof, and the other end of the suspension mounting rod is connected to a second end of the seat body; wherein the first end of the seat body is one end, close to the carriage side wall, of the seat body, and the second end of the seat body is one end, away from the carriage side wall, of the seat body. The seat mounting structure provides an effective support for a suspension seat to improve a structural strength of the suspension seat.
Passenger seat with close-out shroud
Described are close-out shrouds (10) formed of a flame retardant material with at least one living hinge (16). The flame retardant material is configured to substantially enclose an articulating opening to a cavity, and the at least one living hinge is configured to articulate through greater than 50,000 cycles before failure.
UNIVERSAL REST SEATS
A passenger seat assembly (150) includes a seat support (486) and an immobile seat shell (384) mounted on the seat support (486). The seat shell (384) can include a bench (388) and a backrest (390). The bench (388) includes a forward edge (392), an aft edge (394), and a top surface (301) extending between the forward edge (392) and the aft edge (394). The backrest (390) can be connected to the aft edge (394) of the bench (388) and can extend in an upward direction from the top surface (301) of the bench (388). In some cases, the backrest (390) includes an upright portion (303) connected to the bench (388) and angled at a first angle with respect to the top surface (301) of the bench (388), and a resting portion (305) connected to the bench (388) and angled at a second angle with respect to the top surface (301) of the bench (388).
PASSENGER COMPARTMENT FOR COMMERCIAL PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION VEHICLES
A passenger compartment for commercial passenger transportation vehicles is provided. The passenger compartment includes multiple twin cabins, each twin cabin including two passenger cabins. The two passenger cabins including a first cabin and a second cabin identical to the first cabin. The second cabin is installed on top of the first cabin such that the second cabin is shifted towards front of the first cabin as much as half the length of the first cabin. Each of the first and the second cabin includes at least one passenger seat, and the passenger seat converts to a bed.

Aircraft seat configuration and arrangement systems and methods
The present invention generally relates to passenger aircraft seats. The disclosure focuses on a seat unit arrangement (10) for a cabin and seat units that provide different comfort positions. In some embodiments, a side cushion (14) forms part of a bed surface when the seats are converted to a bed position. In some embodiments, a bed extension (30) is deployed from a stowed position to form a part of the bed surface. In some embodiments, a seat backrest (22) does not form part of the bed surface when the seat unit is in the bed position. In some embodiments, a lounge position is provided when the seat backrest rotates toward a side cushion. In such an embodiment, the passenger may be positioned toward the side cushion such that the passenger may comfortably rest their legs on the side cushion without converting the seat to a bed position.
