PASSENGER SEAT
Described are passenger seat assemblies including spreaders with a transitional region having a forward surface with a radius of curvature of about 3.5 to 3.7 inches and an aft surface with an angular profile configured so that the aft surface is located forward of a plane formed by a surface of the at least one seat back in a fully upright position. The passenger seat assemblies also include leg assemblies with a forward leg portion having a forward surface that is substantially aligned with a forward base frame tube, and an aft surface with an angular profile having a shape of an r.
Barrier with Integrated Wheelchair Restraints
The embodiment described and claimed herein are improved barrier-type wheelchair securement systems. In particular, one embodiment of a barrier includes an integral shoulder belt assembly, two integral wheelchair restraint assemblies, and two integral lap belt assemblies. The wheelchair restraint and lap belt assemblies comprise retractors which can be mounted external or internal to the barrier. The integral shoulder belt assembly could be connected to a vertical telescoping member which is movable from a first position, wherein the telescoping member is housed inside of the barrier, to a second position, wherein the shoulder belt assembly is disposed at a proper height for a wheelchair passenger. Alternatively, the shoulder belt assembly could be rigidly mounted to the barrier in a fixed position, or could be adjustable to accommodate passengers of varying size.
Seat assembly for a vehicle
A seat assembly for a vehicle, in particular a public transport vehicle such as a bus or train, comprises a transversely positioned bench seat in front of which there is a wheelchair space. In front of the transversely positioned bench seat in the travel direction of the vehicle is arranged a barrier device comprising at least one barrier element and a rotation axis, about which the barrier element can be moved between a tilted-down position extending in front of the transversely positioned bench seat and a tilted-up position which leaves the wheelchair space free.
Passenger seat
Described are passenger seat assemblies including spreaders (18) with a transitional region having a forward surface with a radius of curvature of about 3.5 to 3.7 inches and an aft surface with an angular profile configured so that the aft surface is located forward of a plane formed by a surface of the at least one seat back (12) in a fully upright position. The passenger seat assemblies also include leg assemblies (22 with a forward leg portion having a forward surface that is substantially aligned with a forward base frame tube, and an aft surface with an angular profile having a shape of an r.
Passenger seat
Describes are passenger seats including a seat pan assembly with a reclining mechanism, a seat back pivotally coupled to the aft end of the seat pan assembly, and a lumbar mechanism coupled to the seat back and/or the seat pan assembly. As examples, the seat pan assembly includes at least one track having a reclining path and a sleeper path, and a sleeper selection control configured to pull a diverter into a position substantially blocking the opening to the reclining path and to push the diverter into a position substantially blocking the opening to the sleeper path. In certain cases, the seat pan assembly also includes a tilting mechanism with a fixed component and a variable component adjustably engaged with each other.
MODULAR ELEMENT FOR A VEHICLE
A module element for a vehicle, in particular a public transport vehicle such as a bus or train, comprises a lower component and an upper component connected to the lower component at an interface. The essentially identical lower component can be combined with different upper components.
Drivers seat mounting assembly
A driver's seat mounting assembly for a vehicle includes a driver's seat having a base with a base hole, and a floor assembly including a floor sheet supported by a floor support frame. The floor support and the floor sheet define a receiving channel. The assembly further includes a riser platform attached to a top surface of the floor sheet, the riser platform having a platform body configured to receive the driver's seat. The platform body defines a body hole that is configured to be aligned with the receiving channel and the base hole. A sleeve is disposed in the receiving channel of the floor support frame. A fastener is received in the base hole, in the body hole, in the receiving channel, and in the sleeve to anchor the driver's seat to the floor support frame.
Re-configurable passenger bench seat
A passenger bench seat comprises a backrest, a seat element, a fastening rail which extends substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the seat element in the region of an edge of the seat element that faces towards the backrest, and a seatbelt system. In a first configuration of the passenger bench seat, the seatbelt system includes a first number of seatbelts which are detachably fastened to the fastening rail in first positions which are adapted to the first configuration of the passenger bench seat. In a second configuration of the passenger bench seat, on the other hand, the seatbelt system includes a second number of seatbelts which are detachably fastened to the fastening rail in second positions which are adapted to the second configuration of the passenger bench seat.
Side support for an aircraft seat
The present invention generally relates to passenger aircraft seats. Some examples provide systems for providing side support to seated passengers. Some examples include a passenger seat backrest having an extendable side support. An extendable side support may be integrated with a seat backrest and may be moved between a stowed position and a deployed position. When in a deployed position, the expandable side support may then provide additional side support to a seated passenger's body.
