A coupling structure includes a first coupling portion formed by one end portion of a first tube, and a second coupling portion formed by one end portion of a second tube, and is configured such that the first coupling portion is inserted in the second coupling portion, the first coupling portion and the second coupling portion are coupled, with the second tube being pivotable with respect to the first tube, and a gap is formed between an outer surface of the first coupling portion and an inner surface of the second coupling portion in a first state in which a fluid is not flowing through the flow path, and in a second state in which the fluid is flowing through the flow path, pressure of the fluid causes the first coupling portion to deform to expand toward an outer side of the flow path to reduce the gap.

A seat for a vehicle includes a seat cushion and an adjustment and suspension device having a base fixed to the frame and a supporting plate fixed to the seat cushion movable in translation relative to the base in a direction of elevation. The seat also has a restraint system that includes: at least one restraint member fixed to the frame, the restraint member defining at least one through opening extending along a main direction of elongation substantially parallel to the direction of elevation; and at least one restraint element fixed to the supporting plate, the through opening of the restraint member receiving the restraint element free in translation along the main direction of elongation.

A seat for a vehicle includes a seat cushion and an adjustment and suspension device having a base fixed to the frame and a supporting plate fixed to the seat cushion movable in translation relative to the base in a direction of elevation. A vehicle seat that can suitably protect a seated occupant against an impact from a seat width direction is described, while enlargement of the seat in the seat width direction is restrained. A support member provided to the vehicle seat supports the seated occupant from a side of the seated occupant, and includes an inner plate attached to a seat width direction inner side of a side frame, an outer plate attached to a seat width direction outer side of the side frame, and a connection plate for connecting the inner plate and the outer plate on a seat front side. The outer plate is attached to the seat width direction outer side of the side frame at a position that does not overlap in the seat width direction with attachment positions of the inner plate and the side frame.

The subassemblies include massage and/or ventilation subassemblies that employ tubeless air distribution by fixing sheets together such as by heat-staking. The subassemblies also include a support structure for preassembling the massage, ventilation, and/or electronic components together prior to suspending them in a seat assembly.

In one example, attachment of the panel to the housing defines a cavity. In another example, the cavity is filled with an energy absorbing material. The seat back further includes a pair of parallel mounting posts disposed between the panel and the housing. The mounting posts include a plurality of fastener mounting locations to enable a universal fit. In another embodiment, the seat back includes one or more energy absorbing portions configured to absorb energy in the event of an accident.

It is provided a vehicle seat having a base and a displaceable seat member which when a backrest of the vehicle seat is tilted forward can be lowered at least with a front portion in the direction of the base, wherein there is provided a guiding element which when the front portion of the seat member is lowered can be displaced on a slotted guiding member for the guiding element from a first portion of the slotted guiding member to a second portion of the slotted guiding member. The slotted guiding member or the guiding element is provided on a blocking element of a blocking device of the vehicle seat. The blocking element with the slotted guiding member or with the guiding element can be displaced under the action of acceleration forces which occur in the event of a crash relative to the base.

A supplemental passive safety apparatus is provided which benefits known technology for detecting traffic emergencies. The apparatus may contain a movable rectangular frustum which interacts with rigid crossbars to control middle pivot joints responsible for adjusting location of horizontal support bottom panels with a cushion. An alternative apparatus may contain a rope traveling through a double flanged wheel mounting to a pneumatic cylinder instead of a rigid crossbar interacting with a movable rectangular frustum. Simultaneously with an opening of an automatic valve, compressed air is transmitted from a cartridge to a pneumatic cylinder causing a piston with rod to move toward a front crossbar. The rigid crossbar in one version or rope in an alternative version release a pivot joint controlling location of horizontal support bottom seat panels with cushion.
