A covered foam cushion (10), such as for an automotive seat, has a foam bun (12) with a contoured outer surface defining an elongated trench (16) between opposing side walls (18, 20). A retainer (28, 28a) is permanently secured to the foam bun and recessed within the trench between the side walls. A cover (14) extends over at least a portion of the foam bun and is held in place by a clip (26, 26a) permanently secured to a distal edge of a flange (24) of the cover within the trench of the foam bun. The clip is fastened to the retainer and has lateral protrusions (30, 30a) that bear against the opposing side walls of the trench.

Flexible laminate

A flexible laminate (1) includes an electrically non-conductive substrate (2) with a substantially planar configuration, an electrically conductive element (3) on a surface of the electrically non-conductive substrate, and a layer (4) on a surface of the electrically non-conductive substrate (2). The electrically non-conductive substrate (2), the electrically conductive element (3) and the layer (4) are coaxially punctured forming a punctured region (6). They are connected to each other through a mechanical connection element (5) which extends through the electrically non-conductive substrate (2), the electrically conductive element (3) and the layer (4) at the punctured region (6). The cross-sectional area of the electrically conductive element (3) at the location of the punctured region (6) is larger than the cross-sectional area of the electrically conductive element (3) outside the punctured region (6).

VEHICLE SEAT

The vehicle seat is structured by covering the pad surface with the surface layer provided with the beading, which prevents the beading formed on the vehicle seat from being rubbed and worn out by clothing of the occupant who is getting on or off the vehicle under pressure applied by the thigh or the back of the occupant, and further prevents dislocation of the beading on the seat under pulling force applied by the thigh of the occupant who is getting on or off the vehicle. The pad has a groove in which the beading is embedded. The beading is embedded in the groove famed in the pad, and the surface layer for enclosing the beading core of the beading is bonded and fixed to the bottom surface of the groove.

A method produces a seat cover for a vehicle seat made of a form-fit knit part. The form-fit knit part has continuous fibers and reinforcing fibers, and each of the reinforcing fibers is made of a core fiber and a cladding fiber coaxially sheathing the core fiber. The form-fit knit part is first produced using a knitting machine, and the seat cover is subsequently produced from the form-fit knit part using an ironing machine. The ironing machine has at least one lower mold in the shape of the vehicle seat, and the core fiber has a higher melting point than the cladding fiber.

CUSHION MEMBER, CUSHION MEMBER MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND PASSENGER SEAT

A cushion member 301 is a cushion member made of flexible resin or rubber and used for a passenger seat 300, and includes a porous structural body 1, and a top skin 330 serving as at least a surface FS on a seated person side among surfaces of the passenger seat and integrated with the porous structural body.

Trim support for vehicle seat

An occupant support a seat bottom and a seat back. The seat back includes a backrest including and an upper-back adjuster coupled to the backrest at least partially movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The occupant support is at least partially covered in an outer trim including a backrest portion and an adjuster portion that moves relative to the backrest portion. The outer trim blocks view of an interior of the seat back.

Device and method for producing an edge strip for a seat cover

A device for producing an edge strip may have a supply unit with at least two openings for separately supplying an edge strip core and a material strip of a casing for the edge strip core. The material strip may be provided with a decorative element, an adapter unit, and a processing unit. The supply unit arranges the edge strip core on a surface side of the material strip which forms the inner face of the casing, and the adapter unit is designed to fold the material strip around the edge strip core. Free ends of the casing protrude from the edge strip core and lie one over the other, and the processing unit connects the free ends lying one over the other together. A method for producing an edge strip using such a device and to a seat cover with an edge strip is also included.
