Garnish cap including living hinge for a vehicle seat
A seat for a motor vehicle includes a seatbelt integrated into a seat back of the seat and a seatbelt mechanism for providing access to the seatbelt. The seat further includes an extended base attached to the seat, a raised and curved section of the extended base for transitioning the seatbelt from a vertical orientation inside the seatback to a horizontal orientation for use, an arcuate slot atop the extended base, the seatbelt being threaded through the arcuate slot, the arcuate slot preventing the seatbelt from becoming tangled and misaligned, a garnish for covering the seatbelt mechanism, a fastener, and a cap for covering the fastener. The fastener fastens the garnish and the cap to the extended base.
Spacer for lateral slide removable seat
A rail and carrier system for first and second removable seats for a motor vehicle includes two lower rails fixedly attached to and positioned laterally along a floor of the motor vehicle. Two upper rails are nested with and laterally slidable within each of the first lower rails. Cross brackets are laterally spaced apart and arranged perpendicular to the upper rails. Covers are connected to and extend between the cross brackets. Spacers are located laterally between upper rails within the lower rails. The spacers include a first shoe located in the lower rail, a second shoe located in the lower rail, and a first bracket connecting the first shoe and second shoe. The first and second shoes prevent the upper rails from contacting each other.
Grip mechanism for a motor vehicle seat
A removable seat of a motor vehicle includes first and second cross brackets laterally spaced apart and arranged perpendicular to first and second upper rails located in a floor of the motor vehicle, the first and second cross brackets being connected to the first and second upper rails, a cover connected to and extending between the first and second cross brackets, a handle extending laterally outward from the cover, a spring-loaded lock that holds the first upper rail in place with one of a first lower rail and second lower rail the floor, and a towel bar that releases the lock, enabling the first and second upper rails to slide within the first and second lower rails.
End bracket for lateral slide rail for removable seat
A bracket for use in a rail and carrier system for a removable seat for a motor vehicle, the rail and carrier system having first and second lower rails, first and second upper rails nested within the first lower rail, third and fourth upper rails nested within the second lower rail, includes a generally U-shaped end that is substantially similar to a U-shaped cross-sectional profile of the first and second lower rails, the U-shaped end having a center portion and two upper portions, and a generally L-shaped extension extending from a bottom of the center portion, the L-shaped extension having a first portion that is attached to the one of the first and second lower rails and a second portion that extends upward from the first portion. The second portion blocks movement of one of the first, second, third, and fourth upper rails.
Link locking device of seat for vehicle
A link locking device of a vehicle seat is configured to prevent a force exerted on a seat belt from causing the rotation of a height link through a buckle. The device includes a sector gear unit rotatably fastened to a cushion frame and fastened to a link connection unit, to which a height link provided in a seat rail is rotatably coupled, to rotate together and a locking unit rotatably coupled to the cushion frame and fastened to a buckle of a seat belt to engage the sector gear unit and block the rotation of the link connection unit when the buckle is pulled. In this configuration, when the buckle is pulled, the locking unit engages the sector gear unit to restrain the link connection unit from rotating to prevent the rotation of the height link, thereby having the effect of preventing the distortion of the seat cushion.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes right and left side frames 10, and an elastic member (cushion spring 20) run between the right and left side frames 10. The right and left side frames 10 include side walls 11 disposed opposite to each other in a lateral direction, and flange portions (upper flange portions 12) respectively extending laterally inward from the side walls 11, and the elastic member is attached to the flange portions.
Side seat harness restraint system
A harness and restraint system for side facing seats, which is asymmetric and unique for each side of the vehicle. The absence of a leading shoulder strap minimizes neck and cervical injury in the event of impact from the front of the vehicle, such impact being the most likely direction of impact. The combination of internally mounted automatic locking restraint and fixed or automatic locking lap belt and asymmetric harness geometry captures the trailing shoulder reducing rotation and also provides restraint for the pelvis and torso during lateral impacts.
Spring loaded web guide
A seatbelt web guide assembly is adapted to be fixed to a seat back and comprises a web guide in the shape of a loop and a track base adapted to be fixed to a seat back. The track base has a housing and a sliding element. The housing is adapted to be fixed to the seat back and defines a sliding axis. A sliding element is slideably disposed in a guide feature of the housing defining the sliding axis. The web guide is connected to the sliding element for movement therewith along the sliding axis. A spring is disposed between the housing and the sliding element, biasing the sliding element relative to the housing.
Pivoting spring loaded web guide
A seatbelt web guide assembly adapted to be fixed to a seat back comprises a web guide in the shape of a loop and a pivot adapted to be fixed to a seat back and defining a first pivot axis. A connector is disposed between and connects the web guide to the pivot at a position in which the web guide is spaced from the first pivot axis. The pivot has a first part and a second pivot part. The second pivot part is rotatable with respect to the first part about the pivot axis, and the connector is fixed to the second pivot part.
Vehicle seat with a rotatable belt guide
There is provided a vehicle seat including: a seat main body including a seating portion, a seat back that supports an upper body of the vehicle occupant seated on the seating portion, and a headrest that is provided at an upper side of the seat back and supports a head portion of the vehicle occupant; a seatbelt that restrains the upper body of the vehicle occupant with respect to the seat back; a belt guide portion that is provided at an upper portion of the seat back or at the headrest, and through which the seatbelt is inserted, and that guides the seatbelt; and a rotating portion that, following movement of a shoulder portion of the vehicle occupant, changes a direction of guiding the seatbelt by rotating the belt guide portion by external force applied due to tension of the seatbelt.
