Seat for vehicles
A seat for vehicles including a seat cushion, a seat back, and a head rest has the following arrangement to ensure that a surface member can be relatively easily but positively removed from a urethane pad if a foam molding defect is found in the urethane pad in integral molding of the urethane pad and the surface member. In the seat for vehicles, any one of the seat cushion, seat back, and head rest has a configuration where a surface of the urethane pad is covered with the surface member. The urethane pad and the surface member are partially bonded together by integral molding.

An in-mold foam molded article has a foam body made from olefin-based resin pre-expanded beads and an insert member having an elongated connecting portion and movement resisting portions provided apart from one another in the elongated connecting portion. The insert member is subjected to insert molding upon in-mold foam molding using the olefin-based resin pre-expanded beads. The foam body has a movement facilitating structure that facilitates relative movement between the insert member and the foam body during shrinkage of the in-mold foam molded article after release from a mold.
Seat assembly including a modular foam arrangement and method for fabricating the same
Seat assemblies and methods for fabricating seat assemblies are provided. In one example, a seat assembly includes a seat frame and a seat cushion that is supported by the seat frame. The seat cushion includes a modular foam arrangement including a first modular foam section having a first interlocking feature and a second modular foam section having a second interlocking feature engaged with the first interlocking feature. An outer covering at least partially covers the modular foam arrangement.

Further, a seat cushion has left and right side reinforcing portions that reinforce portions of a cushion pad from outer sides in a left-right direction, and from obliquely lower sides, of front-rear direction central portions of thigh portions of the passenger, and left and right lower surface reinforcing portions that reinforce portions of a lower surface of the cushion pad at outer sides in a left-right direction, and at obliquely lower sides, of buttock portions of the passenger.
Pneumatic device and method for manufacturing the same
A pneumatic device for adjusting a contour of a seating face of a vehicle seat is disclosed. The pneumatic device includes a first foil; a second foil arranged on the first foil; a third foil arranged on the second foil; a first seam connecting the first foil, the second foil and the third foil to one another, wherein the first seam is configured to provide a first fluid chamber between the first foil and the second foil, a second fluid chamber between the second foil and the third foil, and wherein the first fluid chamber and/or the second fluid chamber are configured to adjust the contour of the seating face of the vehicle seat. The pneumatic device further includes a connection passage formed in the second foil and configured to fluidly connect the first fluid chamber with the second fluid chamber.
MODULAR SEATING ASSEMBLY
A vehicle seating assembly includes a seat having a seat frame and a seat foam member, a seat trim assembly disposed over the seat foam member, a seat connector, and a seatback. The seatback includes a seatback frame. First and second seatback foam members are disposed around the seatback frame. A seatback trim assembly is disposed over the first and second seatback foam members. A seatback connector is operably coupled to the seat connector.

The first surface is configured to engage the occupant. The second surface is disposed opposite the first surface. The suspension includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a third surface. The third surface engages the second surface of the cushion. The second portion includes a fourth surface. The fourth surface defines a first depression. The first depression opens toward the cushion. The first depression is configured to receive a portion of the cushion when the occupant exerts a load on the cushion.

Method for producing a seat for a vehicle, the bottom and the foam obtained by molding in a double mold by the following subsequent steps: gluing: in which a robot moves the molded product in front of a glue nozzle; activation: in which the robot transfers the molded product into a heating station, activating the glue; loading: in which a user arranges the cover in a loading station; superimposition: in which the cover is transferred into a superimposition station; simultaneously, a second robot grasps the molded product and moves it into the superimposition station; pressing: in which a plurality of grippers press the edge of the cover against the edge of the bottom, causing irreversible gluing between the bottom and cover, forming the seat; moving-away: in which the second robot grasps the seat from the superimposition station and places it on a conveyor belt to move it away.
