SEAT WITH ARMREST, AND ARMREST UNLOCKING DEVICE FOR USE THEREWITH
20170327013 · 2017-11-16 · ·

In the case of a seat with an armrest on an automobile, an armrest lock mechanism may be released by, for example, the gravitational acceleration(G) in the event of vehicle collision. Accordingly, it is necessary to provide an anti-G spring for biasing to prevent the lock mechanism from being easily released. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an armrest unlocking device that enables a decrease in size of the anti-G spring. In order to solve the problem, provided is an armrest unlocking device in gear, the device operating such that the locking of the lock gear and the sector gear can be released by operating a lever link bracket so as to raise the lock gear, wherein the lock gear has a center of rotation thereof aligned with the position of the center of gravity.

A seat cover for a vehicle may include a lower or bench portion sized and configured to extend over a horizontally-oriented top of a bench of a vehicle seat. The lower portion may include a first section and a second section separated by a slit. The seat cover for the vehicle may also include an upper or backrest portion coupled to the lower portion. The upper portion may be sized and configured to extend upwardly over a backrest of the vehicle seat. The seat cover may be divided into vertical sections that correspond to the seats of a bench seat in a vehicle. One or more of the vertical sections may be removable to accommodate movement of the vehicle seats.

Low-profile armrest articulation mechanism for aircraft passenger seat
11492123 · 2022-11-08 · ·

A low profile armrest articulation mechanism for a passenger seat is disclosed. The passenger seat has a seatback reclinable from an upright configuration to a berthed or horizontal configuration (e.g., parallel to the seatpan). The mechanism includes moving stops connecting the armrests on either side to the seatback and linkages connecting the moving stops to the seat frame. As the seatback reclines, the moving stops maintain the armrests at an optimally ergonomic angle (e.g., substantially parallel to the seatpan) for as long as possible. When the seatback reaches the fully reclined or berthed configuration, the armrests may be pivoted upward into a berthed orientation flush with the seatback, adding bed space to the berthed configuration.

A pair of brackets (25, 30) are provided on either side of a seat back frame (10), each bracket defining a support hole (27, 31) for rotatably supporting a support shaft (41) of an arm rest, and a guide slot (28, 32) for guiding a corresponding guide pin (42B, 42C) of the arm rest along an arcuate path centered around the corresponding support hole. The two guide slots are offset from each other, and the guide pins are offset from each other in a corresponding manner in side view so that the two brackets may be offset from each other. Thereby, the layout of the brackets for rotatably supporting the arm rest can be selected in an advantageous manner.

ARMREST FOR AIRCRAFT SEAT, ASSOCIATED SEAT AND PROCESS

Armrest for aircraft seat, associated seat and process are provided. The armrest includes a stationary part (12) intended to be connected to the seat, a moving part (14) movable relative to the stationary part (12), between a high position in which the moving part (14) is intended to protrude above a seat bottom of the seat and a low position, and a maneuvering mechanism (18) able to guide the movement of the moving part (14) between the high position and the low position. The maneuvering mechanism (18) includes at least a first connecting rod (26) and a second connecting rod (27), each independently connecting the stationary part (12) to the moving part (14), the first connecting rod (26) and the second connecting rod (27) being arranged parallel to one another during the movement of the moving part (14) between the high position and the low position.

PASSENGER PROTECTION DEVICE
