VEHICLE DOOR AND DOOR PROVIDING METHOD

A vehicle assembly includes, among other things, a vehicle door changeable back and forth between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the vehicle door is provided by an inner module coupled to an outer module. In the second configuration, the vehicle door is provided by the inner module without the outer module. A door providing method includes providing a vehicle door in a first configuration using an inner module coupled to an outer module. The method further includes providing the vehicle door in a second configuration using the inner module without the outer module.

DYNAMIC ADJUSTABLE ARMREST

A dynamic adjustable armrest includes a bracket supporting the armrest, a rod guide having a plurality of detents, the rod guide in slidable communication with the bracket, a locking rod engageable with the rod guide and the bracket. The locking rod is movable between at least a first position and a second position, and the armrest is movable between at least an up position and a down position.

Vehicle assembly

A trim panel is attached to an inboard surface of a door structure and includes an armrest and an armrest retaining structure. A portion of the trim panel defines an armrest opening with the armrest installed through the armrest opening. The armrest has an outboard portion with an outer peripheral flange that overlays a portion of an outboard surface of the trim panel. The armrest retaining structure is attached to the outboard surface of the trim panel at location adjacent to the armrest opening. The armrest retaining structure retains the armrest in position relative to the trim panel. The armrest retaining structure is further configured to release the armrest for movement in an outboard direction upon application of a predetermined first level of force to the armrest.
