SEAT OCCUPANCY RECOGNITION
20190143844 · 2019-05-16 ·

The invention relates to a seat occupancy recognition device for recognising the occupancy of a seat, characterised by at least one volume detection device with at least one first sensor, which is provided and designed to detect a volume on the vehicle seat, and at least one body function detection device with at least one second sensor, which is provided and designed to detect body functions, and at least one body function recognition device for recognising the detected body functions.

Touch control vehicle seat and vehicle-mounted entertainment system

A vehicle seat with touch control function includes a seat armrest, the seat armrest includes an armrest frame, a flexible pad, a flexible touch panel, and a protective cover. The flexible touch panel is elastic, and the flexible touch panel includes a flexible substrate and a carbon nanotube touch function layer to collect touch input from a user. Such flexible touch panel may be installed on or in armrest of any seat in vehicle, enabling control of a display while comfortably seated, having to lean forward is avoided. A vehicle-mounted entertainment system incorporating such touch control system is also provided.

According to the present disclosure, a child restraint includes a juvenile seat and a child-restraint harness coupled to the juvenile seat. The juvenile seat includes a seat bottom and a seat back extending upwardly from the seat bottom. The juvenile seat further includes a cupholder coupled to the seat bottom.

MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT HAVING AN ARMREST ASSEMBLY

A motor vehicle seat is disclosed having an armrest assembly including an armrest and a retractable utility support arm having a ball-shaped mount for use when extended away from the armrest to mount a small item of utility in a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. The ball-shaped mount is stowable when not in use in a recess formed in the armrest so as not to cause an obstruction within the passenger compartment.

Arm rest
10272865 · 2019-04-30 · ·

An arm rest attachable to a seat for a vehicle occupant to sit on includes side members, a front member, and a rear member. The side members include a pair of side members provided at left and right sides of the vehicle occupant and extending in a front-rear direction. The front member is in front of the vehicle occupant when the vehicle occupant is seated and is configured to couple front sides of the left and right side members to each other at least when in use. The rear member couples the seat to rear sides of the side members. The side members and the front member are rotatable about a line that connects left and right coupled points between the rear member and the seat.

VEHICLE SEATING ASSEMBLY WITH AIRBAG CARRIER

A vehicle seating assembly is provided herein. The vehicle includes a seat-base coupled to a seatback. A guide-channel and an armrest are coupled to at least one of the seatback and the seat-base. A carrier having an airbag is slidably coupled to the guide-channel, wherein the carrier is operable between a stowed position and a use position. The carrier is disposed vehicle downward of the armrest while in the stowed position. An airbag deployment side of the carrier is generally directed seating assembly rearward while the carrier is in the use position.

VEHICLE SEATING ASSEMBLY WITH AIRBAG CARRIER

A method for operating an airbag carrier is provided herein. The method includes the steps of moving carrier containing an airbag along a guide-channel of a seating assembly from a stowed position to a use position, and deploying the airbag into an occupant space of the seating assembly.

Articulating armrest

An articulating armrest includes a first protrusion and a second protrusion that protrude from a member a predetermined spacing apart. Each protrusion aligns within a separate track within a housing configured for stowing the armrest within a seat back. The two tracks include straight and curved portions configured to articulate the armrest. Specifically, the armrest moves along a curvilinear path between stowed and deployed positions by translating along the tracks and pivoting about the second protrusion. The armrest may stow in a seat back and beneath the seat bottom to provide a full length armrest when deployed, and the armrest may stow flush with the seat back for sitting against. Mechanical tension may be provided to automatically deploy the armrest, and a rotational damper and a gas spring may be used to control the speed at which the armrest deploys.

Child safety seat

A child safety seat includes a seat body, an armrest, and an actuating mechanism. The seat body includes a seat base. The armrest has a first engaging portion. The actuating mechanism is disposed on the seat body. The actuating mechanism has an actuating portion and a second engaging portion. The actuating portion is exposed from the seat body. The second engaging portion is engaged with the first engaging portion when the armrest is disposed on the seat base. The second engaging portion is disengaged from the first engaging portion when the actuating portion is actuated to move the actuating mechanism, such that the armrest is able to be detached from the seat base.

SEAT WITH RESTRAINT SYSTEM

A seat includes a seatback, two armrest portions, and two airbags. Each armrest portion is rotatably coupled to the seatback about a generally vertical axis from a stowed position elongated in a forward direction to a deployed position extending in front of the seatback. Each airbag is fixed to one of the armrest portions and inflatable to an inflated position in which one of the airbags is disposed in front of the other of the airbags relative to the seatback.
