SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING AN INTEGRATED USER INTERFACE SYSTEM AT A SEAT
A light-weight and low-power integrated system module suitable for installation at a passenger seat disposed aboard a passenger vehicle and methods for manufacturing and using same. By integrating selected interface system components with the associated interconnections, the integrated system module provides an intuitive user interface system for interacting with a passenger entertainment system. The integrated system module can be installed within a seatback of the passenger seat that compliments the look and feel of the user interface system, creating an immersive entertainment experience during travel.

A seat headrest assembly (16) includes a core (54) that includes a core bottom (56). A thermal conditioning device (22) includes a housing (26) that provides a fluid passage (28) that extends to a vent (62). A heating module (36) and a blower (38) are arranged in the fluid passage. The thermal conditioning device is arranged beneath the core bottom.
REMOVABLE HEAD RESTRAINT BUN FEATURE
A headrest assembly for a high performance vehicle seat includes front and rear panels that are coupled to front and rear sides of a support member and further coupled to one another. The front panel includes a mounting surface with an outwardly extending frame substantially disposed around the mounting surface to define a receiving cradle. A headrest bun is releasably coupled to the mounting surface of the front panel. The headrest bun is configured to be easily mounted and removed from the mounting surface of the front panel. When the headrest bun is removed, the cradle is accessible and configured to receive the rear portion of a helmet of a vehicle occupant.

A motor vehicle seating assembly for a motor vehicle having a lower seat assembly and an upwardly extending seat back assembly is disclosed. The upwardly extending seat back assembly comprises a seat back frame and a head rest hood module attached to an upper portion of the seat back frame, the head rest hood module comprising a mount disposed proximate a lower rear edge of the head rest hood module. A decorative seat back rear panel module comprising a first seat back rear perimeter panel and a second seat back rear central panel is operably coupled with the first seat back rear perimeter panel to define a rear exterior surface area of the decorative seat back rear panel module, wherein an upper laterally transverse member of the first seat back rear perimeter panel is attached to the mount disposed on the head rest hood module.

A system for facilitating communication between a vehicle and a user includes a vehicle having a rechargeable battery and a communication and control subsystem. The communication and control subsystem is communicatively coupled to the battery to gather and transmit vehicle information, which may include battery information and a vehicle identifier. The system also includes a charging station having a charging station identifier and an electrical coupling between the charging station, a power source, and the vehicle. The electrical coupling is operable to charge the battery and includes a communicative coupling. The control subsystem is operable to receive communications from the user via the communicative coupling.

The communication and control subsystem is communicatively coupled to the battery to gather and transmit vehicle information, which may include battery information and a vehicle identifier. The electrical coupling is operable to charge the battery and includes a communicative coupling. The control subsystem is operable to receive communications from the user via the communicative coupling.

A vehicle seat including a seat back including a back pad and a back cover, wherein the back pad has a recess portion opened forward, through holes penetrating in a front-and-rear direction are provided in an outer peripheral edge portion of a rear wall portion of the recess portion, and a board is mounted on a rear wall portion side of the back cover which covers the rear wall portion, wherein at least one protrusion portion extending toward an outer side in an in-plane direction of the rear wall portion is provided on a part of the board, and wherein the back cover covers an inner surface of the recess portion, and the at least one protrusion portion inserted into at least one of the through holes is engaged and mounted on a back surface portion of the back pad on an opposite side of the rear wall portion.

A head rest includes: a stay supported by a seat back of a vehicle seat; and an accommodation member forming an accommodation space for accommodating a part of the stay, in which the accommodation member includes a first member, a second member, and third member, the first member and the second member being disposed side by side in a front-rear direction of the vehicle seat, and the third member covering a space between the first member and the second member, and in which the third member includes a pair of side surface portions and an upper surface portion, the pair of side surface portions being disposed side by side in a left-right direction of the vehicle seat, and the upper surface portion connecting end portions of the pair of side surface portions on an upper side of the vehicle seat.
