Actuating rear center head restraint
A rear-center head restraint system of an automobile vehicle includes a rear seatback of the automobile vehicle. A head restraint assembly is rotatably mounted to the rear seatback and is moved between a stowed position and an in-use position. The head restraint assembly includes a rear head restraint body defining an L-shape and includes a forward-facing surface moved toward a head of an occupant at the in-use position. At least a first link and a second link are rotatably connected to the seatback. The first link and the second link are also rotatably connected to the rear head restraint body. A release system rotates the head restraint assembly selectively between the stowed position and the in-use position.
Retractable car seat
The present disclosure provides a retractable car seat that is folded and stowed in a vehicle. The retractable car seat includes: a body configured to be folded or unfolded; a frame movably connected to the body to support the body such that the body is configured to be folded or unfolded; a support having an end connected to a lower portion of the body or the frame and another end movably connected to a floor of the vehicle, being able to move forward and backward in the vehicle, and having a length that can be vertically adjusted; and a rail disposed on the floor of the vehicle and having the support inserted therein, thereby functioning as a path in which the support is moved.
Passenger Seats and Doors for an Autonomous Vehicle
An autonomous can include one or more configurable passenger seats to accommodate a plurality of different seating configurations. For instance, the one or more passenger seats can include a passenger seat defining a seating orientation. The passenger seat can be configurable in a first configuration in which the seating orientation is directed towards a forward end of the autonomous vehicle and a second configuration in which the seating orientation is directed towards a rear end of the autonomous vehicle. The passenger seat can include a seatback rotatable about a pivot point on a base of the passenger seat to switch between the first configuration and the second configuration. Alternatively, or additionally, the autonomous vehicle can include a door assembly pivotably fixed to a vehicle body of the autonomous vehicle such that a swept path of the door assembly when moving between an open position and a closed position is reduced.
ACTUATING REAR CENTER HEAD RESTRAINT
A rear-center head restraint system for an automobile vehicle includes a rear seatback of an automobile vehicle. A head restraint assembly is mounted on the rear seatback and is moved between a stowed position and a deployed position. The head restraint assembly includes a forward head restraint portion displaced from the stowed position in an upward direction and in a forward direction with respect to the rear seatback. A rear head restraint portion is positioned rearward of the forward head restraint portion and is displaced in the upward direction as the forward head restraint portion displaces away from the stowed position. At least one headrest post is fixedly positioned within the rear seat back. A release mechanism connected to the at least one headrest post is operated to release the head restraint assembly from the stowed position.

Acoustic output through headrest wings
The technology described in this document can be embodied in a headrest of a seat, the headrest including an enclosure for housing one or more acoustic transducers, and an adjustable headrest wing disposed in front of the enclosure. The headrest wing is coupled to the enclosure by a pivot, and configured to be adjusted to one of multiple positions within an angle range around the pivot. The headrest wing is also configured to support the head of a seat-occupant. The headrest further includes a connector disposed between the enclosure and a rear portion of the headrest wing. The connector is configured to provide an acoustic channel between the enclosure and the headrest wing such that audio signals from the one or more acoustic transducers are radiated outward through the headrest wing.
Adjustable upper thoracic support for aircraft seat
A seat for an aircraft may comprise a seat pan and a back support coupled to the seat pan. An upper thoracic support may be located proximate an end of the back support opposite the seat pan. The upper thoracic support may be configured to rotate relative to the back support. A headrest may be coupled to the upper thoracic support.
HEADREST
A headrest includes a frame made of metal, the frame includes a base plate supported by a headrest fixing device, and a cover plate disposed on an occupant head side of the base plate. The cover plate includes a cover panel portion, and a cover frame portion extending from an outer circumferential edge of the cover panel portion toward the base plate. The base plate includes a base panel portion, and a base frame portion extending from an outer circumferential edge of the base panel portion toward the cover plate, and fitted into the cover frame portion. A first part of the cover frame portion is joined to the base frame portion, and a remaining second part of the cover frame portion is enjoined to the base frame portion.

Headrest
The invention relates to a headrest, in particular for a vehicle seat, with a head contact part (11), with a support (12) for mounting the headrest (10) on a fixed structure, with at least one parallelogrammatic linkage (23) between the head contact part (11) and the support (12) that carries the head contact part (11) for movement relative to the support (12) between a first position and a second position, wherein the parallelogrammatic linkage (23) comprises at least two links (16, 17), and each link (16, 17) forms at least one pivot joint (G1A, G2A, G1C, G2C) with the support (12) and at least one pivot joint (G1B, G2B, G1D, G2D) with the head contact part (11), with a latch (19), with a first latch formation on the support (12) and a second latch formation on the head contact part (11), wherein the first latch formation and the second latch formation are in engagement in a locked position and are disengaged in a release position. The special feature is that the first latch formation is fixed on the support (12) or that an upper region of at least one link (116) is provided with the first latch formation, and that the second latch formation is fixed on the head contact part (11).
