VEHICLE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
A seating arrangement for a vehicle is shown to include a plurality of seats, including at least two front seats, at least two rear seats, and a rear jump seat positioned intermediate the two rear seats. The jump seat comprises a seat back which is positioned rearwardly of the rear seats, and the rear seats are movable laterally between a first position where the rear seats are proximate to each other and generally covering the seat back of the jump seat, and a second position where the rear seats are spaced apart from each other and the seat back of the jump seat is exposed. The arrangement may also include rear seats which are rotatable relative to the seat backs to provide a storage surface.
Vehicle passenger sensing and reporting system
An example embodiment of a system and methods for detecting and reporting whether passengers are seated and secured in their seats within a vehicle may include a passenger sensor configured to provide an output indicative of a presence of a passenger in a seat in a vehicle, a restraint sensor configured to provide an output indicative of a status of a passenger safety restraint associated with the seat, a transmitter configured to be in electronic communication with the passenger sensor and the restraint sensor and to wirelessly transmit data indicative of the presence of a passenger in the seat and the status of the restrain, and a reporting module configured to be disposed proximate a driver of the vehicle. The reporting module may be configured to receive the data from the transmitter, and output a respective status for each of a plurality of seats.
Vehicle interior component
A vehicle interior component is disclosed. The component may comprise a base structure comprising a functional region configured to present a first form and a second form comprising a receptacle. The base structure may comprise an illuminated section at the functional region. The functional region may comprise a movable illuminated platform. The platform may move between an elevated state for a default form and a lowered state for the second form. The platform may be configured to be presented at a first or generally horizontal orientation and a second or generally tilted orientation. The illuminated section may comprise a perimeter of the functional region. The component may comprise an actuator configured to operate a mechanism for the functional region. The functional region may comprise wireless charging capability. The component may comprise at least one of a console; floor console; tunnel console; armrest; instrument panel; door; door panel.
Holder for a beverage container
A holder for holding, for example, a beverage can, in a tilt-proof manner, in a motor vehicle is designed with two rings that are disposed concentrically inside one another, serving as supports (7), which can be consecutively raised and lowered by rotating a control sleeve comprising radial cams. By raising only the larger ring, the holder is suitable for a beverage can having a larger diameter, and by raising both rings, it is suitable for a beverage can having a smaller diameter.
System including resettable cupholder apparatus
A system may include a resettable cupholder apparatus. The resettable cupholder apparatus may include a cupholder member and a cantilever spring. The cupholder member may have a cup hole and may include a cupholder member pivot portion having a stowed detent, a deployed detent, and a bearing face positioned between the stowed detent and the deployed detent. The cantilever spring may have a spring bearing face, and the cantilever spring may apply a force to the cupholder member pivot portion. The resettable cupholder apparatus may be in a stowed position when the spring bearing face is located in the stowed detent. The resettable cupholder apparatus may be in a deployed position when the spring bearing face is located in the deployed detent.
STOWAGE COMPARTMENT ASSEMBLY WITH EXTERNAL FORCE-ACTUATED WALL ELEMENT AND PIVOTABLE FLOOR ELEMENT
A stowage compartment assembly for a vehicle comprising support and wall elements arranged on a front side of the support element, the wall element adjusts between a non-use position and a functional position. In the non-use position the wall element extends along a contour of the front side of the support element and in the functional position, projects with at least one section from the front side of the support element and is elastically deformed, to form a stowage compartment; and a drive device for adjustment of the wall element. The stowage compartment assembly includes at least one pivotably mounted floor element adjustable between a storage position and a functional position and, when the wall element is in use, is pivoted from its storage position into its functional position and defines a floor of the stowage compartment.

Apparatus (10) for a vehicle seat, the apparatus (10) comprising a first supporting means (12) and a second supporting means (14), the first supporting means (12) comprising a storage means (16) and the second supporting means (14) being a headrest comprising a cover (18) for covering the storage means (16), the headrest being arranged to have a deployed condition and a retracted condition, wherein in the deployed condition the storage means (16) in the first supporting means (12) is at least partially uncovered, and in the retracted condition the storage means (16) in the first supporting means (12) is covered by the cover (18).
