SIDE-BY-SIDE VEHICLE

The present invention relates to all terrain vehicles having at least a pair of laterally spaced apart seating surfaces.

STORAGE SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE

A storage system for a vehicle includes a storage bin. The storage bin is positioned vehicle-downward of the seating assembly of said vehicle. A trim component overlies a door sill of said vehicle. The trim component and the storage bin together define an under-seat storage cavity. The trim component defines a side receptacle distinct from the under-seat storage cavity.

Control of a seating arrangement

A method of controlling movement of a first component of a vehicle, the first component being a squab or a bulkhead of a rear seat of a vehicle seating arrangement. The method involves receiving a signal indicative of a state of a second component of the vehicle and receiving a request to move the bulkhead so that the seat is in a folded condition. The squab of the rear seat is moved into engagement with the bulkhead of the rear seat prior to moving the bulkhead; and movement of the bulkhead is commenced in accordance with the request and in dependence on the signal indicative of the state of the second component.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat including: a seat cushion on which a passenger is able to be seated; a seat back that is attached to a rear end of the seat cushion; and an electric component that is provided to at least one of the seat cushion and the seat back, wherein a fastening member is provided to the rear end of the seat cushion or a lower end of the seat back, an electric wire for supplying an electric power to the electric component is fastened to the rear end of the seat cushion or the lower end of the seat back by the fastening member, and one of the seat cushion and the seat back to which the fastening member is provided includes a contact regulation portion that is located behind the fastening member.

SEATING ASSEMBLY

A vehicle seating assembly comprises a lift mechanism disposed at a forward portion of a seat and a latch assembly disposed at a rearward portion of the seat and rotatably coupled to the seat. A mechanical link has a first end rotatably coupled to the forward portion of the seat and a second end rotatably coupled to the latch assembly. The vehicle seating assembly is movable between a first position and a second position, wherein the latch assembly is positionable in a latched position or an unlatched position relative to a mount assembly. The mechanical link is disposed in an initial position when the seating assembly is in the first position, and the mechanical link is disposed in a final position when the seating assembly is in the second position.

Vehicle seat assembly and return spring mechanism

A vehicle seat assembly, a biasing mechanism, and a method of installing a vehicle seat assembly are provided. A first end region of a torsion spring is for fixed connection to a vehicle frame bracket mount such that the seat back rotates relative to the first end region of the spring about a transverse axis. A second end region of the torsion spring is offset from the transverse axis. A support bracket is connected to the seat back, with the intermediate region of the torsion spring supported for rotation by the support bracket. A block supported by the support bracket and offset from the transverse axis, with the block contacting the second end region of the torsion spring to bias the spring when the seat back is in a first, use position.

A seat assembly secured to a floor in an automotive vehicle has a seat cushion, a seat back, a seat track assembly, a latch mechanism, a memory mechanism, and an interlock assembly. The seat back is operatively coupled to the seat cushion, and is movable between an upright position and a folded position. The seat track assembly includes a fixed track adapted to be fixedly secured to the floor and a movable track fixedly secured to the seat cushion. The movable track is slidably coupled to the fixed track. The latch mechanism is operatively coupled between the fixed and movable tracks. The latch mechanism prevents sliding movement of the movable track, and is (17) selectively unlocked from the fixed track to allow sliding movement of the seat cushion between a plurality of positions. The memory mechanism is operable between a home position and a memory position. In the home position, the memory mechanism is coupled and moves with the movable track. In the memory position, the memory mechanism is coupled with the fixed track and defines a previously selected one of the plurality of positions. The interlock assembly comprises a hook lever, an interlock lever, and a cable. The hook lever is pivotally connected to the seat cushion. The interlock lever is pivotally coupled to the movable track for movement between a disengaged position and an engaged position. The cable is operatively coupled between the hook lever and the interlock lever, and is configured for moving the hook lever into and out of engagement with the seat back. Moving the seat back to the folded position actuates the memory mechanism to the memory position, which unlocks the latch mechanism from the fixed track to allow sliding movement of the seat cushion in a first direction away from the previously selected one of the plurality of positions to the easy-entry position. Actuation of the memory mechanism to the memory position also allows the interlock lever to rotate into the engaged position to cause the cable to move the hook lever into engagement with the seat back to maintain the seat back in the folded position.
