Novel Self-Inflating Fall Protection Pad
The present invention comprises a novel self inflating, collapsible fall protection pad generally consisting of a single folding unit that utilizes the internal structure of the device in concert with air pressure to provide fall injury protection via a cushioning action. The internal structure of the device may create the self-inflation properties as well as assist in providing support during use. This structure may be comprised of layers of foam, laminated fabrics and a reinforcing yet flexible structure such as that provided by viscoelastic polymers. An air seal may also assist in providing cushion and a supportive structure by limiting air flow. While not in use, the system may fold or compress into a compact form that is easy to transport.

Forms for constructing foundations for anchoring pole vault standards
A form for constructing a foundation for anchoring a pole vault standard to a support structure adjacent to a landing pad includes a first frame and a first plurality of connectors defining a first connecting pattern for coupling to a corresponding connecting pattern of a base of the first pole vault standard. The form is installable in the support structure and operable for use in fixedly connecting the first base of the pole vault standard to the form. A pair of forms may be employed for constructing a pair of foundations for anchoring a pair of pole vault standards to a support structure adjacent to a landing pad.
SPORTS EXERCISE AREA WITH IMPACT ATTENUATING SYSTEM AND IMPACT ATTENUATING SYSTEM
A sports exercise area comprising a landing area comprising an impact attenuating system for attenuating impact when landing on the landing area is provided. An impact attenuating system (1; 2) is provided for attenuating impact onto a landing area, for example when exercising freestyle sports, gymnastics or athletics. The impact attenuating system (1) comprises a first inflatable structure (14). The first inflatable structure (14) comprises a first sheet (101) and a sheet (102). A first side (111) of the first sheet is in contact with and connected to a first side (112) of the second sheet along a first plurality of parallel first connection lines (103-1, 103-2, 103-2) to form a first plurality (104) of parallel first air chambers (104-1, 104-2, 104-3). The first plurality of parallel first air chambers is inflatable to form a first plurality of parallel first tubular airbags arranged side-by-side in a first plane substantially parallel to the top surface of the landing area. A top layer (110) may be provided. A second inflatable structure (24) may be provided on top of the first inflatable structure (14).

Surface surveilance by unmanned aerial vehicles
Videography of surfaces and improved positional control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are disclosed. Embodiments include defining a plane relative a vertical or semi-vertical surface. Linearly scanning along a line parallel to the plane. The plane being defined by three non-colinear points. The linear scanning along the plane is defined by a defined distance from the plane to the surface. The scanning including distance sensor scanning. The distance sensor scanning creating a model of the surface. The distance sensor scanning can include sound-based or light-based distance measurement scanning. The surveillance scanning can further include capture of imagery of the surface along the linear scanning along the plane.

System and methods for adjusting variable variable geometry, height, weight distribution dynamics in orthotic devices and equipment
An active suspension orthotic support system is disclosed. The suspension orthotic support system comprises at least one variable resistance beam extending from a heel section to a mid-arch section of the footwear, wherein rotation of the variable resistance beam from a first position to a second position causes a resistance provided by the variable resistance beam to vary between a minimum resistance to a maximum resistance.
Foam pit cover
A foam pit cover having a cover sheet with a gator clip along its perimeter, a perimeter skirt, an apron, and a plurality of toggle bungee cords. The perimeter skirt is made of primary and second sheets, the primary sheet being longer than the secondary sheet. The toggle bungee cords are configured to fit within grommets in the secondary sheet of the perimeter skirt and the bottom part of the apron. The top part of the apron is attached to the bottom part of the primary sheet of the perimeter skirt. The cover sheet and apron are made of a PVC-coated polyester material, and the perimeter skirt is made of a breathable, durable fabric. The invention optionally includes a top sheet with customized graphics and corner pieces to further secure the cover sheet to the perimeter skirt.
