DROP DECK TRAILER
20230191866 · 2023-06-22 · ·

The application discloses a Drop Deck Trailer having a pivoting axle system that allows the deck of the trailer to be incrementally lowered to the ground. When coupled to a tow vehicle, the partially lowered deck becomes a ramp to load and unload a vehicle. The unloaded trailer can be backed into a standard garage, uncoupled, and lowered completely to the ground. The UTV or light vehicle can then be front-loaded on the trailer. This capability allows the convenience and cost savings of simultaneously storing a UTV or other light vehicle in the same standard garage space. A unique articulated tongue assembly allows the operator to minimize the footprint of the parked trailer, allowing smaller spaces to be used for storage or simply eliminate a trip hazard. The Drop Deck Trailer is a combination of innovative features that provides convenience and cost savings.

MANUALLY FOLDABLE WHEELCHAIR RAMP

A ramp assembly comprises a support defining a vertical and horizontal pivot axes and a ramp with a first ramp portion coupled at one side thereof to the support, a second ramp portion, and a hinge connecting the second ramp portion to the first ramp portion. The second ramp section is manually movable between a generally folded stowed position being disposed in a surface-to-surface facing arrangement with the first ramp section and an unfolded deployed position being disposed in an end-to-end facing arrangement with the first ramp section. The ramp is manually pivotable on the support, about the vertical and horizontal pivot axes, between a folded stowed position, an unfolded deployed position defining an inclined ramp surface, and a folded intermediate position. The ramp can be installed on a vehicle for use by non-ambulatory passengers and be disposed in a position allowing unhindered use of the vehicle by ambulatory passengers.

Lift deck assembly for a truck

A lift deck assembly has a base frame mounted in the cargo box of a truck and a load supporting platform movable relative to the base frame by a linkage between a loading position substantially at ground level and a transport position above the cargo box in which the side edges of the platform are aligned with the sidewalls of the cargo box and the rear edge of the platform is aligned with the tailgate to provide the general appearance of a tonneau cover. The platform includes a main defining the side edges and an extendable portion that can be extended rearward from the main portion to assist in supporting a load thereon. The extendible portion can be retracted so that the rear edge thereof aligns with the rear edge of the main portion and the tailgate.

Convertible trailer

A convertible trailer system includes a convertible trailer having a segmented lower deck, and a segmented upper deck mounted thereover. The segmented lower deck includes floating forward and rear belly ramps which are independently actuable relative to each other so as to be selectively raised and lowered relative to a pair of side rails which define the belly forward of the trailer wheels. When in a fully lowered position the belly ramps are lowered to a lower extremity between the pair of side rails so as to be substantially entirely below uppermost edges of the pair of side rails. When in an elevated position the belly ramps are elevated so as to be co-planar with or above the uppermost edges of the side rails whereby freight may be loaded laterally onto the belly ramps over the pair of side rails.

Fold out ramp

A method is disclosed for deploying a ramp assembly. The ramp assembly includes a ramp portion rotatable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The ramp assembly further includes a panel rotatable about a first end, wherein the ramp portion supportingly engages a second end of the panel to elevate the second end of the panel as the ramp portion moves toward the deployed position. The method includes the step of rotating the ramp portion until the ramp portion contacts an alighting surface. The method further includes the step of rotating the ramp portion until one of a first condition and second condition occurs. The first condition is that the ramp portion has reached a maximum slope. The second condition is that the second end of the panel has reached a predetermined elevation.

VEHICLE ACCESSIBILITY SYSTEM

A vehicle accessibility system may include an interior ramp panel movable between a first position and a second position; a first floor panel movable between a lowered position and a raised position; and a second floor panel movable between a horizontal position and a tilted position.

TRANSPORTABLE DRIVE-OVER CONVEYOR SYSTEM WITH FOLDING AND LIFTING MECHANISM
20170233194 · 2017-08-17 ·

A transportable drive-over conveyor system includes a drive-over hopper for receiving material and having a belt-type conveyor for conveying the material, a transition section pivotally connected at an upstream end to the drive-over hopper, an auger mounted at a downstream end of the transition section. The transition section transfers the material from the belt-type conveyor to the auger. The system may include radially offset wheels that support and move the conveyor system. The system further includes a pair of foldable ramps having hooks. The system further includes a folding and lifting mechanism which may include cables connected to the hooks for folding the foldable ramps and then lifting the conveyor system by the ramps.

RETRACTABLE RAMP SYSTEM FOR MOTORIZED VEHICLE
20170216113 · 2017-08-03 ·

A retractable ramp system for facilitating mobility-challenged individual's entrance to and exit from a structure, particularly, from a motorized vehicle. The ramp system includes a frame having a front member, a first side member, a second side member, a rear member, and a floor. The rear member is pivotally coupled to the frame between an open position and a closed position. The ramp system includes a first track coupled to the first side member and defining a longitudinal channel therein, and a second track coupled to the second side member and defining a longitudinal channel therein. A ramp is pivotably coupled to the first and second tracks about a pivot axis, and includes a ramp floor, a first side panel, and a second side panel.
