Most fit exercise sledge hammer with head molded to and through handle
A hammer with an elongate handle having a longitudinal axis, a proximal end and a distal end; a protrusion mounted at the distal end of the handle having a pin and a notch therethrough oriented along a transverse axis relative to the longitudinal axis and a flexible generally geometrically uniform mass affixed to the handle at the distal end thereof. The mass is molded onto the distal end of the handle whereby at least part of the mass extends through and fully occupies a channel in the handle and cooperates with the pin to secure the mass to the handle.
Training apparatus, arrangement and method
A training apparatus including a training element for a user performing exercises, an AC motor and a frequency converter being arranged to control the AC motor, wherein the frequency converter comprises measuring means being arranged to measure a voltage and a current of the AC motor and calculation means being arranged to calculate a magnetic state of the AC motor using the measured voltage, the measured current, a reference torque and a reference flux in order to generate a torque of the AC motor. The training apparatus further comprises a control unit having a machine control module being arranged to calculate the reference flux and the reference torque using an intended overall torque, wherein the machine control module is connected to the frequency converter and arranged to transmit the reference flux and the reference torque to the frequency converter.
ATHLETIC SWING PLANE INDICATOR
The invention disclosed is an athletic swing plane training device used as a baseball bat swing plane visual indicator.
Gait training apparatus
An apparatus for gait training, comprising: a movable base (11) comprising a drive unit (13) for moving the movable base (11), an arm arrangement (15, 16, 18) extending from the movable base (11) to enable a person (113) to be at least partially suspended from above, a movement detector (14, 115; 20; 21) to detect a movement of the person (113), and a control unit (119) configured to control said drive unit (13) in response to movement of the person detected by the movement detector (14, 115; 20; 21) such that the movable base (11) follows the person (113) in a predetermined distance range and in a predetermined angular range with respect to a movement direction of the person (113). The apparatus may comprise a projector (112) configured to project a path to be taken by the person (113) and a securing mechanism (21) to secure the suspension of the person (113) in response to a fall or stumbling being detected by a fall detector (21).
Apparatus for isometric and incremental muscle contractions
A resistance exercise apparatus comprising a mechanism for allowing the machine to inhibit in intervals along a range of motion for an amount of time, movement in a direction caused by an external force applied to a movable surface on the machine, while allowing movement of the surface in the opposite direction to the external force, wherein said movable surface is linked to a resistance source.
Adjusting exercise machine settings based on current work conditions
Adjusting settings of an exercise machine is provided. Data is received from a set of monitoring devices at a workstation. Software applications currently executing on the workstation are monitored. A signal is sent to a control module of the exercise machine adjusting one or more settings of the exercise machine based on changes in the software applications currently executing on the workstation.
Exercise system
An exercise system for incorporating physical exercise with sedentary job tasks includes a treadmill that may be walked upon. A workstation is coupled to the treadmill and the workstation is accessible when the treadmill is walked upon. Thus, job tasks may be undertaken simultaneously with physical exercise.
Devices and methods for determining the weight of a treadmill user
A treadmill may comprise a drive motor positioned and configured to drive a treadbelt, and an electrical current sensor configured to measure the electrical current utilized by the drive motor. The treadmill may also include a computer programmed and configured to analyze the measured electrical current usage by the drive motor to determine the weight of a person positioned on the treadbelt. A person's weight may be determined by driving the treadbelt with the drive motor while a person is positioned on the treadbelt, measuring an electric current utilized by the drive motor, and analyzing the measured electric current to determine the weight of the person positioned on the treadbelt of the treadmill. Additionally, the measured weight may be utilized to calculate calorie expenditure.
Exercise bar device
An exercise bar for use when exercising, such as while walking, running, jogging, stretching, or the like. The exercise bar device includes a U-shaped frame having a pair of handles extending from opposing sides thereof. The user can position his or her body in the opening defined by the U-shaped frame while holding the frame in various positions with the handles located on side of the user. Each handle is further configured to removably receive a weighted plate thereon for providing additional resistance. In some embodiments, the exercise bar includes an audio unit adapted to allow the user to play music or other audio while exercising. The U-shaped frame further includes a storage compartment, one or more lights, a panic alarm, and a pedometer, depending upon the embodiment.
Stationary exercise equipment for physical training, more particularly an exercise bike
Stationary exercise equipment for physical training, more particularly an exercise bike, comprising a frame with a movement unit which either is to be moved by the exerciser or is itself driven and interacts with the exerciser, one or more sensors, assigned to the movement unit and/or the exerciser, for capturing measured values, and a computer apparatus for establishing one or more items of measurement-value-related information, which are output on a frame-side display apparatus, letterized in that provision is made for a first display apparatus, which is directed at the exerciser for displaying one or more items of information, and in that provision is made for a second display apparatus, which is directed at the opposite side for outputting at least one item of information.
