Trim element for a motor vehicle front end having an illumination device
A trim element for a motor vehicle front end includes a first trim part, a second trim part and a lighting device, which is at least substantially integrated into the first trim part and by which at least the second trim part is illuminated on the outside of the motor vehicle when the lighting device is activated. The lighting device has at least one illuminant, by which a front field in front of the motor vehicle front end can be specifically illuminated when the lighting device is activated.
Brake light for truck bed enclosure
An auxiliary third brake light which is installed on a removable or collapsible truck bed enclosure or frame is disclosed. The auxiliary third brake light is preferably not physically secured by adhesive or mechanical fastener to the truck bed, cab or body or any part of the truck. Rather, the parts of the auxiliary third brake light that are mounted to the truck bed cover and contact the truck bed, cab or body is pressed into contact. In this way, when the truck bed cover is collapsed or removed, the user can have full use of the truck bed. The parts of the auxiliary third brake light that contact the truck bed, cab or body are pulled off therefrom. When the truck bed cover is deployed to the erected position or put back on the truck bed, the parts of the third brake light that contact the truck bed, cab or body are properly repositioned back into position.
LIGHTING MODULE FOR A VEHICLE COMPONENT AND VEHICLE COMPONENT WITH A LIGHTING MODULE
An illumination module (1) for highlighting a region of a vehicle component, such as a charging or tank recess (20) or a handle assembly, includes a light source support (2) having at least one light source (3) and a housing (4), in which the light source support with the at least one light source is received. The housing includes a light outlet region (5), via which light can be decoupled from the housing (4). The illumination module (1) further includes a light diffuser (6) optically coupled to the light outlet region of the housing , which diffuser includes a first light outlet region (7), via which light can be decoupled for direct illumination or highlighting of the region of the vehicle component and which includes a second light outlet region (8), which is spatially separated from the first light outlet region (7) via which signal light can be decoupled.
Plow blade traffic lighting system
A plow blade has a moldboard shaped with a concave front contact surface that faces a forward direction and has a convex rear frame surface that faces an opposite rearward direction, wherein the rear frame surface has a supporting frame with one or more supporting frame members that extend in the rearward direction. A first indicating lamp is coupled to the plow blade and is energizable to emit light of a first color in the rearward direction, wherein the energized first indicating lamp is concealed from visibility from the forward direction. A second indicating lamp is coupled to the plow blade, energizable to emit light of a second color, and visible from the forward direction.
Endcap lights
The present inventive concept relates to roof bar endcap for a vehicle, said endcap comprising one or more light emitting devices, an envelope arranged to at least partially surround said one or more light emitting devices, said envelope comprising one or more light exit surface portions, wherein said one or more light emitting devices is arranged to emit light through said one or more light exit surfaces, an engagement part adapted to engage a distal end of a roof bar such that the endcap is fixedly attached to said roof bar.
Motor Vehicle Having a Decorative Part or Trim Part in the External Region
In a motor vehicle, an elongated contour of a decorative part or trim part which is visible from outside the vehicle is illuminated in the external region. Such a contour may be, for example, a bead of a decorative part or trim part which, for example, is particularly striking or forms part of a vehicle manufacturer's typical design language. In darkness, the contour, which would otherwise no longer be discernible, is then readily visible due to the illumination. This increases the significance of the visual appearance of the vehicle in darkness.
Auxiliary spare tire brake light for vehicles
An auxiliary spare tire brake light is provided for a vehicle having a spare tire with a rim that has spokes and openings and that is secured on lugs at the back of the vehicle. The auxiliary spare tire brake light includes a support disc having a central portion and a peripheral portion. An array of openings is formed in the central portion of the support disc and the openings are positioned to fit over the lugs at the back of the vehicle for positioning the support on the lugs behind the rim of the spare tire. An annular race extends around the peripheral portion of the support and a plurality of lights in the form of LEDs is disposed in the race. The LEDs are arrayed in a closely spaced substantially continuous array around the support to form a ring of LEDs. A wire and electrical connector electrically connect the plurality of LEDs to the brake circuitry of the vehicle so that the LEDs are illuminated when the vehicle's brake pedal is depressed. A first portion of the ring of LEDs align with and project light directly through the openings in the rim of the spare tire to be seen from behind as an indication that the vehicle is braking. A second portion of the ring of LEDs aligns behind the spokes and reflects off of the backs of the spokes to silhouette the rim against the glow of the reflected light.
Movable front shield for vehicles
In one example embodiment, a computer-implemented method for autonomous vehicle control includes determining whether a cargo container is attached to the vehicle base. The method includes controlling a front shield associated with an autonomous vehicle to move from a closed position to an opened position when a cargo container is determined to be attached to a vehicle base associated with the autonomous vehicle. The method includes controlling the front shield to move from the opened position to the closed position when the cargo container is not attached to the vehicle base.
BACKLIT RADAR PROTECTION DEVICE
A device for protecting a motor vehicle radar is provided. The device includes a body formed from a material that is transparent to radar waves and visible light, a support that is opaque to light and transparent to radar waves, and a light element arranged between the support and the body, an air cavity being provided between the support and the body, the support and the body being assembled together at their edges, characterized in that the thickness of the cavity is between ½ the radar wavelength and 12 times the radar wavelength.
Vehicle body component, method for manufacturing a vehicle body component and method for operating a lighting means arrangement
A vehicle body component comprising a lighting means arrangement, which is configured as a LED strip being at least bendable in the longitudinal direction thereof and comprises a plurality of LEDs arranged one after the other and electrically interconnected; and a base body configured to receive the lighting means arrangement at a light exit side. Further disclosed is a method for manufacturing a body component and a method for controlling a lighting means arrangement on a vehicle.
