An exercise device includes a resilient compression member configured to resist a compressive force from a user, and a resilient tension member configured to couple to opposing sides of the compression member. The resilient tension member is also configured to form a first portion of a loop around the compression member and the user, and resist a tensile force from the user. The exercise device also includes an extension member configured to connect with opposing ends of the tension member to form a second portion of the loop around the compression member and the user.

A sensory tool, therapy putty, board, and method for using same. The sensory tool provides for self-regulation, fine motor dexterity, and grip strengthening through a series of imprints and features on its surface(s) that when pressed into resistive putty allows for impressions to be made. When this tool is combined with therapy putty it can be used to strengthen muscles, simulate functional tasks, and provide graded resistance that reinforces the sensorimotor experience to facilitate muscle memory and motor learning.

The training device is made in the form of a rigid arcuate element that has a central portion and two side portions ending in free ends. A new method of performing a side plank exercise uses a side plank exercise device in the shape of a spherical cap or a cone. The side plank exercise device includes a front end that is circular or oval. The side plank exercise device also includes a rear end tapered from the front end. The rear end is a spherical cap. The front end has a flat or a cavitary surface. The front end also includes two recesses for receiving a left shoe and a right shoe. The two recesses are two inches deep and also uneven in depth. Each recess further incorporates a grip at its bottom. The grip includes protruding lines or spherical caps. The device further includes an edge at the front end that extends outwardly from the front end. The edge includes an attachment point with a crossbar and an attachment cavity receiving the crossbar.

A walker device is described herein including two side frames, each side frame including a front vertical support, a rear vertical support and at least one connecting member extending between the front and rear vertical supports. The walker device further includes a cross bar extending between the two side frames and pivotally connecting to the front vertical supports of the two side frames. The walker device also includes a tension device which applies a resistive force to the pivoting motion between the first cross bar and the two side frames. The walker device is therefore capable of a pivoting configuration which enables the user to learn or re-learn a more natural gait pattern including rotation of the upper and lower body. Some embodiments of the walker device include a second, auxiliary cross bar that is parallel to the first cross bar and horizontally offset from the first cross bar.
