Dual and solo exercise apparatus
A modular exercise apparatus includes a pair of vertical frame members secured in spaced-apart relation by two or more internally threaded cross bars the ends of which are fitted with L-shaped mounting brackets that are manually secured by threaded mounting bolts passing through opposing aligned apertures in the frame members and into the threaded ends of the cross bars, the frame members further stabilized by at least one flanged U-shaped supporting member secured to a base member of the frame members by a threaded mounting bolt, enabling the apparatus to be assembled without the use of tools to form a variable, stable configuration that allows one or two users to execute a wide variety of vigorous exercises, and disassembled for compact storage. For solo use, the frame members are reduced in length and weight facilitating ease of movement of the assembled unit, as well as the disposition for storage.
EXERCISE EQUIPMENT AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
An exercise device for performing incline push-ups includes a base and a pair of upright frame members connected at their bottoms to the base. The exercise device includes a pair of bar support assemblies that movably travel along the upright frame members. Each bar support assembly includes a hollow base sleeve that surrounds one upright frame member and an arm that extends outwardly from the hollow base sleeve at an angle. The arm has a plurality of spaced notches formed therein. The bar support assembly includes an insert that slidingly travels within the hollow interior of the arm. The insert is biased by a biasing element that is disposed between the arm and the insert and the insert is biased in a direction toward the hollow base sleeve. The bar support assembly further includes a plurality of lock pieces that are pivotally attached to both the arm and the insert. Each lock piece is disposed at least partially within one respective notch of the arm and movable between an unlocked position and a locked position.
Audible exercise system for striking and method of use
An exercise system includes a target having a rectangular body composed of a polycarbonate material; a first handle having an opening extending through a thickness of the rectangular body; striking the rectangular body causes an audible noise.
Elbow and wrist stretching device
The present invention comprises a novel stretching device for the stretching the wrist and elbow as part of the treatment for lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow). Consisting of a vertically (normally wall) mounted device with different embodiments being designed for lateral and medial epicondylitis ailments. For tennis elbow the device includes an angular support projecting from a padded vertical section where the back of the hand is placed. This angular support gradually pushes the back of the fingers guiding the hand into a fist, the optimal stretch for tennis elbow. The golfer's elbow version is designed to accept a palm out fingers up hand. It has a finger and compressible palm support section of different depths, the differences support a gentle stretch of the fingers, when the palm is pushed forward and away from the body.
Platform assembly
A platform assembly has a central platform joined to a first side platform and a second side platform. A first side platform first corner socket and a first side platform second corner socket arranged through the first platform. A first cross member support is joined to the first side platform with a first cross member locking pin through the first corner socket and a second cross member locking pin through the second corner socket. A second side platform first corner socket and a second side platform second corner socket arranged through the second platform. A second cross member support is joined to the second side platform with a second cross member first locking pin through the second side platform first corner socket and a second cross member second locking pin through the second side platform second corner socket.
Multi-purpose adjustable-incline climbing wall
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to an adjustable-incline climbing wall. The climbing wall comprises one or more climbing panels supported by a frame and a system for adjusting the incline of the frame to provide a climbing wall of a desired incline. The incline of the climbing wall may be adjusted by activating an actuator, which extends the upper portion of the frame a distance from a support wall, tilting the climbing wall to a desired incline. When the climbing wall is substantially vertically oriented, the system for adjusting the incline of the climbing wall may extend only a small distance from the support wall so that the adjustable-incline climbing wall has a relatively small footprint. In some embodiments, the climbing wall may also include one or more fitness accessories that can brought to an optimal height for a particular user through adjustment of the climbing wall incline.
Unsupported Pelvic / Spine, Third Class Lever Exercise System and Method
The invention is embodied in an exercise system that can allow its user to counterbalance the effects associated with a predominantly sedentary lifestyle though a fitness device that comprises a combination of (a) supporting the lower body in a manner that permits a user's upper body to act as a third class lever with the user's hips operating as fulcrum and (b) engaging in resistance exercises with the upper body in a horizontal position, unsupported above the greater trochanter.
Physical Therapy Assembly
A physical therapy assembly includes a platform that is positionable on a horizontal support surface thereby facilitating a user to stand on the platform. A support bracket is removably attachable to the platform and the support bracket has a grip that is integrated into the support bracket. The support bracket extends upwardly from the platform having the grip being spaced from the platform thereby facilitating the grip to be gripped by the user when the user stands on the mat. The support bracket is oriented to angle rearwardly on the platform thereby facilitating the user to perform assisted squats when the user grips the grip. In this way the support bracket facilitates the user to perform physical therapy exercises.
Fitness training apparatus and system
A fitness training apparatus comprising: a base, at least one retractable line provided in or on the base, and a load generator provided in or on the base for applying a selectively adjustable load to the at least one retractable line. The retractable line has a free end region for operation by a user, wherein the at least one retractable line is configured and arranged to be extended from a retracted state in or on the base to an extended state upon application of a force to the free end region of the retractable line by the user. The load applied to the retractable line by the load generator resists or acts against the force applied to the free end region by the user for extending the retractable line from the retracted state to the extended state.
