VEHICLE
Information related to a vehicle can be displayed by projecting an image based on the information on a road surface or the like. An image projection apparatus that projects an image includes: a sensor unit that acquires information related to a vehicle; and an image projection unit that projects the image based on the information acquired by the sensor unit.
LIGHTING DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A LIGHTING DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a lighting device for a motor vehicle having at least one exterior light and a control device. The exterior light has an illuminated area having at least two independently controllable segments, each comprising at least one light source, wherein the control device is designed to operate the exterior light in at least two operating modes, with each of which a geometric manifestation of the exterior light, defined by the light sources operated in the operating mode, is associated such that the total luminous intensity of the exterior light is within a range limited by a minimum value and a maximum value.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A LIGHTING DEVICE FOR EMITTING A PIXELATED LIGHT BEAM
A method for controlling a lighting device of a motor vehicle including at least one lighting module having a plurality of light sources, each of the light sources being designed to emit a luminous pixel, and a controller able to selectively control each of the light sources by applying thereto an electrical signal having a parameter of a value determined for the emission of a luminous pixel of given brightness.
METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ILLUMINATING DEVICE, AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for operating an illuminating device of a motor vehicle, wherein light is radiated into a lighting volume by the illuminating device, wherein a control condition is evaluated, the fulfillment of which depends on whether the lighting volume comprises a partial lighting volume by which an area and/or an environment volume is illuminated that is illuminated or can be illuminated by an infrastructure luminaire, wherein when the control condition is fulfilled, the illuminating device is controlled in such a way that light is radiated into the partial lighting volume with a different light intensity than into a residual lighting volume of the lighting volume, which residual lighting volume lies outside the partial lighting volume.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
A vehicle control device for controlling illumination of a headlight of a vehicle. The vehicle control device determines whether a preset illumination target approach area condition is satisfied, detects an illumination target including a pedestrian in front of the vehicle by increasing a horizontal width of an illumination range of the headlight compared to a case where the illumination target approach area condition is not satisfied when the illumination target approach area condition is determined to be satisfied, and perform spot illumination of the illumination target by the headlight when the illumination target is detected.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADAPTIVE DRIVING BEAM HEADLAMP
A lighting system for a local vehicle, comprising: a head lamp including a low-beam lamp for shining low-beam light in a first zone, and a first high-beam lamp for shining first high-beam light in the first zone; a sensory cluster for detecting a remote vehicle proximate to the local vehicle, the sensory cluster including a distance sensor for determining a distance of the remote vehicle from the local vehicle, and a velocity sensor for determining a velocity of the remote vehicle with respect to the local vehicle; and a lighting controller for determining a minimum-distance target time when the remote vehicle will reach a minimum distance from the local vehicle based on the distance of the remote vehicle and the velocity of the remote vehicle, and for controlling the operation of the first high-beam lamp based on the distance of the remote vehicle and the velocity of the remote vehicle.
VEHICLE HEADLIGHT SYSTEM
The invention consists of vehicle headlight system 1 comprising light sources 5 which shine light outwards from the vehicle and photosensing devices 9 which sense light shining towards the vehicle. The photosensing devices 9 are located adjacent to light sources 5 and a shield reduces detection of light spill. In a high-beam mode, a controller causes the light sources 5 to shine light at a high-beam brightness level. In a low-beam mode, the controller receives signals from the photosensing devices 9, uses the signals to determine a position of an oncoming vehicle and causes light sources 5 shining light to the position to reduce their brightness to a low-beam brightness level or to zero. As the position of the oncoming vehicle changes, the controller continuously receives signals from the photosensing devices 9, uses the signals to determine a new position of the oncoming vehicle and causes light sources 5 shining light to the new position, to reduce their brightness.
TRAFFIC SHIELDING USING SELECTIVE ILLUMINATION
Particular embodiments may provide for a method of providing illumination for a vehicle. A user input related to controlling a headlamp assembly for a vehicle may be received. The headlamp assembly may comprise a laser-based lamp positioned to provide high-beam illumination, including a plurality of beam subfields, and a light sensor configured to capture images of objects illuminated by the headlamp assembly. Instructions to activate the headlamp assembly may be sent. Images of a scene illuminated by the headlamp assembly may be captured. An object of interest in the images of the scene may be detected. The detected objects may be identified as a traveling vehicle moving along a path in a beam field of the lamp. Instructions to dim light emitted by the laser-based lamp within at least one subfield of the beam field may be sent. The subfield may correspond to a location of the traveling vehicle.
Spatial light modulator (SLM) controller for headlights
A controller is provided that includes a bit plane generation component and a processor configured to receive one or more headlight commands and to configure the bit plane generation component to generate bit planes of a headlight frame responsive to the one or more headlight commands, wherein the bit plane generation component includes bit generation pipelines configured to operate in parallel to generate respective bits of consecutive bits of a bit plane of the headlight frame.
IN-VEHICLE HEADLIGHT AND LIGHT PROJECTION METHOD
Reliability of an in-vehicle headlight is improved by changing a light distribution pattern without using any mechanical configuration. The in-vehicle headlight includes a laser light source, a spatial light modulator, a spatial-light-modulator controller, and a projection lens. The laser light source emits a laser light beam. The spatial light modulator modulates a phase distribution of the laser light beam emitted by the laser light source. The spatial-light-modulator controller is provided in a headlight controller, and controls the spatial light modulator. The spatial-light-modulator controller controls the spatial light modulator so as to modulate the phase distribution of the laser light beam, and changes the light distribution pattern projected from the projection lens.
