Infinitely adjustable training mask with an air filter and a drinking device
20180280758 · 2018-10-04 · ·

An infinitely adjustable training mask for simulating the increased breathing resistance level at higher altitudes including an air-impermeable mask body covering the nose and mouth of the wearer, an infinitely adjustable inhalation resistance assembly extended through the mask body, a replaceable particulate air filter to provide respiratory protection when the wearer inhales, and a drinking device for hydration and consumption of foods. The inhalation resistance assembly contains a stationary aperture component and a rotating dial aperture component for adjusting the sizes of the overlapping inhalation adjustment apertures to achieve the desired breathing resistance level. Upon exhalation of the wearer, the exhaled air is discharged through a flexible one-way check valve controlled exhalation channel. A replaceable particulate air filter which can be easily placed inside or removed from the internal cavity of the infinitely adjustable inhalation resistance assembly helps to reduce inhalation exposures to airborne particles during outdoor training sessions. The drinking device enables the wearer to conveniently hydrate or consume foods without taking the mask off, thus allowing maximum amount of wear time to improve training efficiency. A strap is connected to the mask body to be positioned about the head of a wearer to securely maintain the mask during training.

Modular exercise machine

An exercise machine includes a first housing, a central electromagnetic resistance unit, a resistance mechanical interface, and a mechanical expansion portion. The resistance mechanical interface includes a spool and a cable configured to provide a force from the central electromagnetic resistance unit in response to a control interface that receives commands from an exercise actuator. The cable extends out from a first side of the first housing. The mechanical expansion port is configured to link the first housing to a second housing via a mechanical attachment. The mechanical expansion port is located at a second side of the first housing. The second side of the first housing is adjacent to the first side of the first housing.

Exercise Bike

An exercise bike includes a frame, a pedal assembly, and a rotor mounted on the frame and operably connected to the pedal assembly. The rotor includes a hub with a plurality of blades extending radially outward from the hub. A rotor cover is mounted on the frame and at least partially encloses the rotor, and has opposed side portions and a middle portion extending between the side portions. One side portion has an opening, and the rotor cover further has slots extending on opposite sides of the middle portion. The bike also includes a moveable baffle that is moveable to selectively restrict air passage through the opening, and an actuator connected to the moveable baffle and including a handle and two legs extending into the slots. The actuator is moveable by the legs traveling along the slots to adjust the moveable baffle.

Mirror therapy device

A portable mirror therapy device comprises a stiff divider panel attached to a base unit which supports the divider panel in an upright position to define two adjacent limb receiving spaces at opposite sides of the divider panel. A mirror is mounted on one face of the divider panel. A clamp mounted at a lower end of the divider panel cooperates with an underside of the base unit for securing the base unit on a support such as a table or worktop. An exercise apparatus is mounted on the device and includes a limb engaging member, which in this case comprises a handle at a mirror side of the divider panel. The exercise apparatus is a resistance load training system and comprises a load cord extending from the handle to an associated resistance element mounted within a housing on an opposite side of the divider panel to the mirror.

LINKAGE STRUCTURE OF RELUCTANCE UNIT AND BRAKE UNIT AND EXERCISE MACHINE HAVING LINKAGE STRUCTURE
20180259016 · 2018-09-13 ·

A linkage structure of a reluctance unit and a brake unit and an exercise machine having the linkage structure are provided. The exercise machine includes a main body, having a resistance wheel and a control unit; a linkage member, connected with the control unit; a reluctance unit, corresponding to the resistance wheel and connected with the linkage member; and a brake unit, corresponding to the resistance wheel and connected with the linkage member. The control unit controls the motion of the linkage member so that the linkage member drives the reluctance unit to move between a reluctance position and a release position, and the linkage member drives the brake unit to move between a brake release position and a brake position.

Static-dynamic exercise apparatus and method of using same
10065060 · 2018-09-04 ·

A static and dynamic exercise apparatus has a spatially displaceable object coupled to a frame and a force applicator. A resistance system exerts a first level of resistance that prevents the movement of the object by the application of a user-applied force, thereby allowing a user to generate a static, or isometric, force on the force applicator and object. The resistance system may then be released, to allow movement of the object, thereby rapidly transmuting the static force into a dynamic movement. In various embodiments, the object is a plurality of weights, the force applicator is a weight lifting bar, and the resistance system is a pneumatically actuated piston that is capable of releasably holding the weights and weight bar to the frame.

BAR-BELL DESIGN WITH ROTATABLE HAND GRIPS
20180243605 · 2018-08-30 ·

A weight lifting apparatus is provided and includes a pair of weight supports, a pair of handle assemblies coupled to the pair of weight supports, and a central bar interposed between each handle assembly of the pair of handle assemblies. The central bar is coupled to each handle assembly. Each handle assembly includes a handle housing, a grip that is rotatably supported within the handle housing, and a ratchet pawl. The ratchet pawl is selectively manipulatable from a first position that inhibits rotation of the grip relative to the handle housing to a second position that permits rotation of the grip relative to the handle housing.
