DRIVING ASSISTANCE APPARATUS AND DRIVING ASSISTANCE METHOD
It is an object to provide technology allowing for appropriate control of a lighting apparatus to illuminate a road from a vehicle. An acquisition unit acquires position information of the vehicle, travel lane information indicating a travel lane in which the vehicle is traveling, and road information. A controller performs control to cause the lighting apparatus to illuminate a branching road directly connected to the travel lane in a first illumination manner when it is determined, based on the position information, the travel lane information, and the road information, that there is the branching road and the vehicle is traveling a first illumination section satisfying a predetermined positional relationship with a branching point of the branching road from the travel lane.
Lighting device for headlights with a phase modulator
There is provided a lighting device arranged to produce a controllable light beam for illuminating a scene. The device comprises an addressable spatial light modulator arranged to provide a selectable phase delay distribution to a beam of incident light. The device further comprises Fourier optics arranged to receive phase-modulated light from the spatial light modulator and form a light distribution. The device further comprises projection optics arranged to project the light distribution to form a pattern of illumination as said controllable light beam.
Light zones for smart lighting
A method, executed by a computer, includes receiving extent information for a light zone and a desired emitted light level for a light source proximate to the light zone where the light source is a programmable light source, determining that the light source projects light onto the light zone, and adjusting, by one or more processors, the light source to emit the desired emitted light level. A computer system and a computer program product corresponding to the method area also disclosed herein.
System, Method, and Computer Program Product for Generating Modified Light Emissions
Provided are systems, methods, and computer program products for generating modified light emissions. The system includes at least one signal receiver arranged on a vehicle, at least one sensor arranged on the vehicle, at least one lighting system arranged on the vehicle, and at least one processor in communication with the at least one signal receiver, the at least one sensor, and the at least one lighting system, the at least one processor configured to: receive a first signal with the at least one signal receiver; receive sensor data from the at least one sensor; determine lighting data based on the first signal; generate a modified light emission by geometrically transforming the lighting pattern based on the sensor data; and control the at least one lighting system to output the modified light emission.
HEADLIGHT CONTROL APPARATUS
A headlight control apparatus 1 that controls an illumination state of a headlight 10 that illuminates an area ahead of a vehicle includes an illuminance sensor 21 that detects luminance around the vehicle, an illumination control section 31 that switches on or off the headlight 10 in accordance with the luminance detected by the illuminance sensor 21, a forward detection sensor 22 that detects an object that is present within a predetermined distance ahead of the vehicle, and a dimming control section 32 that dims the headlight 10 when the forward detection sensor 22 detects an object after start of the vehicle.
Vehicle camera vision and control system and method
A camera is described that includes a first imager and a processor communicatively coupled to the first imager. The first imager captures images of a roadway on which a vehicle is located when operating. The processor, when operating, generates a signal to cause a first hybridized device in the vehicle to project a first patterned light on to an object on the roadway, generates a signal to cause the first imager to capture an image of the first patterned light projected on the object, receives the image from the first imager, and detects the object on the roadway based on the first patterned light captured in the image.
System and method for assisted real-time control of vehicle headlight
This disclosure relates generally to controlling headlights and more particularly to a system and method for automatically controlling vehicle headlights using image processing techniques. In one embodiment, a Headlight Controlling Device for automatically controlling vehicle headlights is disclosed. The Headlight Controlling Device comprises a processor and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The memory stores processor instructions, which, on execution, causes the processor to collect at least one of vehicle information, vehicle speed, road information, area information, weather information or a multimedia object associated with a forward path of the vehicle. The processor further determines a current light intensity distribution of the vehicle headlight based on the multimedia object. The processor further compares the current light intensity distribution of the vehicle headlight with an optimal light intensity distribution, wherein the optimal light intensity distribution is retrieved from a database based on at least one of the vehicle information, the vehicle speed, the road information, the area information or the weather information. The processor further controls the vehicle headlight based on the comparison.
