One general aspect includes a method for remotely activating a vehicle alarm via a voice command, the method including: receiving, via a processor, a voice command to activate a home emergency sequence from a system user; based on the voice command, via the processor, determining if one or more vehicles are located in proximity to a residence of the system user; and when the one or more vehicles are located in proximity to the residence, via the processor, transmitting a vehicle alarm notification to the one or more vehicles, where the vehicle alarm notification is configured to activate a horn system and a light system of the one or more vehicles in an ordered sequence.

Collaborative vehicle headlight directing

Various embodiments include methods and vehicles, such as an autonomous vehicle, a semi-autonomous vehicle, etc., for collaboratively directing or configuring one or more headlights of a vehicle to avoid visually interfering with operation of an oncoming vehicle. Various embodiments may include receiving, by a first vehicle processor, a first collaborative lighting message from a second vehicle, wherein the first collaborative lighting message requests that the first vehicle direct one or more headlights of the first vehicle to avoid visual interference with operation of the second vehicle and directing one or more the headlights of the first vehicle in accordance with the collaborative lighting plan. Directing the headlights to avoid visual interference with operation of the second vehicle may include switching the headlights to a low-beam configuration.

NETWORK AND CONNECTED DEVICES FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND ROADSIDE OPERATIONS
20200128592 · 2020-04-23 ·

A self-assembling network is configured to automatically and dynamically connect devices used in operations carried out on or near roads bearing vehicle and pedestrian traffic. An automatic, ad hoc network connecting existing and new devices can be used to enhance safety by gathering and exchanging safety critical information. In some cases, existing equipment can be augmented with a network controller and radio frequency communications to permit the devices to join a wireless local network and exchange information over the network. New devices, including wearable devices, can be configured to act as nodes on the wireless local network. Establishing the relative position of vehicles, sensors, wearables, and other nodes on the disclosed ad hoc wireless network allows the coordination of functions based on position.

VEHICULAR HEADLIGHT DETECTION AND REACTION SYSTEM

Methods and systems to mitigate headlight blinding during travel in a vehicle by relaying location data from vehicles to a remote server. The remote server identifies vehicles approaching each other on an otherwise unoccupied roadway and sends one or more of those vehicles a warning signal. The vehicle receiving such as warning signal may then automatically take a headlight mitigation action.
