SECURITY MOUNTING BRACKET DEVICE FOR A CROSSBAR
Provided herein is a security mounting bracket device that can be used to securely connect a crossbar to a mounted object. The device is shaped to form a contoured fit with the crossbar and adapted for use with a security nut and bolt rendering both nut and bolt unexposed outside of the device and inaccessible to tools that may be used to forcibly remove the mounted object. The security mounting bracket device can be used as an antitheft device as a security socket is required to remove the nut form the security mounting bracket. The contoured fit reduces the movement of the crossbar within the security mounting bracket device therefore reducing vibrationally induced failure of the mount and loss of mounted object. The security mounting bracket device smooth edges and unexposed nut and bolt also make it a safer bracket for the user in assembly. The size and contour of the security mounting bracket device can be customized to connect any shape of a crossbar to a mounted object such as a guide rail attached to a platform or to a platform directly. The crossbar can be mounted perpendicularly or at other angles, to the security mounting bracket device or and can be used to connect a plurality of mounted objects for example platforms for tents or cargo containers.
LOAD CARRIER FOOT
A load carrier foot for attaching a load carrying portion, preferably a profile element, to a vehicle. The load carrier foot includes a base portion, a cover portion, a lock for locking the cover portion to the base portion at a first position, and a fixing mechanism for fixing the cover portion to the base portion at a second position spaced from the first position. The fixing mechanism is releasable by opening the lock.
AUTOMOBILE ACCESSORY OR ASSEMBLY COMPRISING PLURAL ACCESSORIES
One disclosed embodiment of an assembly of automobile accessories comprises a ring rack, a roof, and a cargo holder. A particular disclosed embodiment comprises a metal ring rack comprising two side rails, an end, and plural mounting brackets that allow the rack to be mounted to the roof of an existing automobile. A two-tiered, molded fiberglass roof is coupled to the ring rack by hinged mounting brackets. The roof can be positioned in an open or closed position by actuating pneumatic struts. A cargo holder is disclosed that includes two side gates that are coupled to structural rails by hinges that allow a user to access cargo stored in the cargo storage section. A fairing may be coupled to the cargo holder that is oriented at substantially a same angle as an angled end portion of the first section of the roof to facilitate wind deflection. The present disclosure also concerns automobiles to which an after-market ring rack, a roof, a cargo holder, an extension tub, and/or a vehicle body extension framework are attached. For example, an automobile may comprise a rear and rear side vehicle protection system comprising a custom-made bumper, the bumper comprising a step, a coupler for attaching tow ropes or chains, one or more built in storage sections, with each such storage section comprising an access door and door latch, accommodation for vehicle lights, and combinations of such features.
Hard shell rooftop tent with utility rails
A tent system includes a base system, a canopy, and one or more interconnecting members. The base system includes a first base member configured to mount to a vehicle, a second base member, and a hinge pivotally attaching the first base member to the second base member. The canopy includes a flexible membrane having a membrane edge and a canopy fastener coupled to at least a portion of the membrane edge and configured to mate with an interconnecting member fastener. The one or more interconnecting members include an interconnecting member body defining a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge, an attachment member, and the interconnecting member fastener attached to the interconnecting member body along the second longitudinal edge and configured to mate with a plurality of different canopy fasteners.
MODULAR ROOF RACK ASSEMBLY AND RECONFIGURATION METHOD
A motor vehicle roof rack assembly according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, side rails of a roof rack. The side rails each extend longitudinally from a first end portion to a second end portion. The assembly also includes crossbars of the roof rack. The roof rack is configured to transition between a first configuration and a second configuration, In the first configuration, the first end portions of the side rails are each coupled to a corner. In the second configuration, the first end portions of the side rails are each coupled to a rail extender.

CARRIER DEVICE FOR SECURING AN ACCESSORY TO A VEHICLE
A carrier device for securing an accessory to a vehicle is provided. The carrier device includes a support frame and a first suction cup. The first suction cup includes a suction cup housing defining a suction chamber, a vacuum pump configured to selectively adjust the pressure within the suction chamber to couple the first suction cup to a vehicle, and a first pressure sensor positioned within the suction cup housing to detect suction chamber pressure information. The first suction cup may further includes an electrical line coupled to the first pressure sensor to transmit suction chamber pressure information to a location outside of the first suction cup, and an integrally molded housing formed around the electrical line to prevent pressure loss within the suction chamber. The first suction cup may include a short range wireless module positioned within the suction cup housing and coupled to the first pressure sensor to selectively pair the first pressure sensor to a nearby electronic device to transmit the suction chamber pressure information to a location outside of the first suction cup.
