A roof of a vehicle includes a panel, and at least one audio device selected from the loudspeakers and the actuators, and when the at least one audio device is an actuator, it is located on the panel, the panel being capable of vibrating.

SEATBACK SPEAKERS

Various implementations include seats and related loudspeakers. In particular cases, a seat includes: a seat headrest portion; a seat backrest portion; and a loudspeaker assembly. The loudspeaker assembly includes at least one driver for generating an acoustic output; and an acoustic exit fixed in the seat backrest portion and angled to provide the acoustic output to a location below a nominal ear position of an occupant of the seat, wherein a firing angle of the at least one driver provides the acoustic output to achieve a consistent frequency response across a range of positions deviating from the nominal ear position.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CREATING A SEALED ENCLOSURE FOR A LOUDSPEAKER IN A VEHICLE BODY PORTION

A system and method for creating a sealed enclosure for a loudspeaker in a vehicle body portion of a vehicle are provided, the vehicle body portion including an inner body panel having a first internal surface and an outer body panel having a second internal surface, wherein the inner body panel and the outer body panel are spaced apart to define a cavity therebetween. The system includes at least one insert member arranged to be received within the cavity and coupled to the first internal surface and the second internal surface to partition the cavity and create the sealed enclosure for the loudspeaker.

To control appropriately whether or not outside sound will be outputted into the vehicle cabin. An in-vehicle device wherein a microphone for inputting sound from outside of the vehicle is connected so as to communicate with a speaker for outputting sound into the cabin of the vehicle identifies, from location control information that is information for expressing the location for each of one or more locations and including metadata for each location, a location that is included within a predetermined range from the current location of the vehicle, identified based on a GPS (Global Positioning System) signal. The onboard apparatus controls whether or not to output, through the speaker, the outside sound that is inputted through the microphone, based on whether or not the location metadata satisfies an outside sound outputting or outside sound non-outputting condition.

Endgate assembly and a vehicle that utilizes the endgate assembly

An endgate assembly includes a body and a quick-release receptacle. The body includes a first side and a second side opposing each other. The first side of the body defines a compartment accessible from the first side and spaced from the second side. The quick-release receptacle includes a platform. The quick-release receptacle is movable between a stowed position in which the quick-release receptacle is attached to the body within the compartment such that the platform and the first side cooperate to close the compartment, and a detached position in which the quick-release receptacle is released from the body to remove the quick-release receptacle from the compartment. A vehicle includes a cargo area and the endgate assembly as discussed above. The cargo area includes a floor, a first sidewall disposed transverse to the floor, and a second sidewall disposed transverse to the floor. The endgate assembly is coupled to the floor.

Component tray assembly for vehicles

A component tray assembly for a vehicle. For example, the component tray assembly may be installed between a body of the vehicle and a seat bulkhead of the vehicle. The component tray assembly may include at least a component shelf, a cover disposed over the component shelf, and one or more components. In some examples, the component shelf includes three openings and the one or more components include three speakers respectively disposed within the openings. The component shelf may further include notches located proximate to the side of the component shelf where the component shelf attaches to the seat bulkhead. The positions and shapes of the openings and the notches may create a weakened region of the component shelf that is configured to deform the component tray assembly during a collision. By deforming, the component tray assembly is configured to minimize the amount of force that is imparted to the seat.

SPARE TIRE WITH SOUND EXCITER

An apparatus includes, among other things, a spare tire cover comprising an attaching ring configured to surround an outer circumference of a tire and a center panel that is attached to the attaching ring. At least one exciter is mounted to the center panel. A method includes, among other things, molding at least one temperature sensor to a center panel, mounting the center panel to enclose one open side of an attaching ring to form a spare tire cover, and mounting at least one exciter to the center panel to selectively generate a desired sound.

SPEAKER ARRANGEMENT STRUCTURE

A speaker arrangement structure includes: a speaker device provided in an A-pillar (front pillar) of a vehicle and configured to turn and transmit sound, produced upward, toward a vehicle compartment; a curtain airbag extending in an up-down direction along an extending direction of the A-pillar and attached to the front pillar; and a bracket configured to attach a lower end of the curtain airbag to the front pillar. The speaker device is arranged below the bracket.
