VEHICLE INTERIOR MATERIAL HAVING STITCH LINE AND METHOD OF IMPLEMENTING STITCH LINE ON VEHICLE INTERIOR MATERIAL
Disclosed are a vehicle interior material having a stitch line and a method of implementing the stitch line on the vehicle interior material. The vehicle interior material includes a base material including a plurality of protrusions on a surface thereof, and a skin configured to cover the surface of the base material and including a plurality of holes into which the protrusions are fitted to be exposed to the outside in order to form a plurality of imitation stitches, wherein the plurality of imitation stitches is arranged in a row to form a stitch line, and the base material includes a main body and a coupling member coupled to the main body and including at least one of the protrusions.
HEADLINER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A headliner system includes a plurality of segments connected together and outlining a central opening and a central section received in the central opening. The central section is selected from a group of central sections consisting of a multisection panel incorporating an overhead airbag grid system, a panel incorporating a fold down display panel and a panel incorporating a pull down divider.
Vehicle upholstery member
A vehicle upholstery member includes a base member provided with a surface layer having a three-dimensional shape. An outer surface of the surface layer is formed of planar surface elements arranged without gaps therebetween, each planar surface element having a polygonal planar shape with a predetermined size.
RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE, MOLDING DEVICE, AND MOLDING METHOD
An instrument panel unit (2) includes an instrument panel (3) and a decorative sheet (4). The instrument panel (3) includes a sticking portion (3a) and an exposed portion (3b). A plurality of insertion grooves 3c and insertion holes 3d are formed alternately at an end on a rear side of the sticking portion (3a), into which bent pieces (4a) formed at a rear end of the decorative sheet (4) are inserted. A groove front-surface (3g) forming the insertion groove (3c) of the instrument panel (3) is formed in a tapered shape such that a width between the groove front-surface and an opposing groove rear-surface (3h) gradually increases upwardly. The bent piece (4a) is formed to be thinner than the groove width at the upper part serving as the entrance part of the insertion groove (3c) and to be thicker than the groove width of a groove bottom-surface (3i).
VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPONENT
A vehicle interior component including a patterned padding surface positioned proximate to an occupant of the vehicle. The component includes a substrate layer with a plurality of padding projections and an exterior layer connected to the substrate layer and including a plurality of gaps matching the location of the substrate layer's plurality of padding projections. Each of the plurality of padding projections aligns with one of the plurality of gaps and is exposed above the exterior layer to thereby form a pattern of padding on the surface of the vehicle interior component.
ILLUMINATION FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR
A vehicle including illuminated stitching as a trim on a vehicle interior surface. The method for installing the illuminated stitching includes cutting a continuous channel into the vehicle interior surface. The method also includes installing an illuminated fiber into the channel. The illuminated fiber is at least partially exposed and emits light. The illuminated fiber is secured in the channel to ensure the fiber stays in the channel.
Method and manufacturing a decorative lining for a vehicle interior element
A method for manufacturing a decorative lining (HD) for a vehicle interior element (EH) is disclosed. Said method involves: step (i) wherein the size of at least one edge (B11, B12) of two leather parts (PC1, PC2) is reduced on an inner face (FI1) and each reduced-size edge is folded over to form a fold (R1, R2) on each leather part (PC1, PC2); and step (ii) wherein the leather parts (PC1, PC2) as well as a decorative insert (ID) that is inserted between the two leather parts (PC1, PC2) are coupled to the vehicle interior element (EH) by placing two edges (B21, B22) underneath the folds (R1, R2).
UPPER REINFORCEMENT FOR A DOOR TRIM PANEL AND METHOD OF TUNING PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS THEREOF
An upper reinforcement for a door trim panel includes a reinforcement channel, and a rib extending across the reinforcement channel. More particularly, the rib includes a first end section that engages a first wall of the channel, a second end section that engages a third wall of the channel and an intermediate section that extends across a window in the second wall of the channel.
HEADLINER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A headliner system includes a plurality of segments connected together and outlining a central opening and a central section received in the central opening. The central section is selected from a group of different panels incorporating different functional features.
Cladding part
A cladding part has a carrier part and a surface covering, which is arranged on a side of the carrier part that faces the surface covering. The surface covering is made of an intrinsically stiff knitted-fabric material.
