A sleeve is positioned radially between 1) the tightening component and 2) the at least a portion of the first handle and the at least a portion of the second handle. An interior member in the form of a rod extends from at or near an axial end of the first handle to at or near an axial end of the second handle. The device further includes a first end cap at the axial end of the first handle and a second cap at the axial end of the second handle. The wrist strengthening device is devoid of any spring component.
Device for Rehabilitation of Appendages and Joints Having Multiple Degrees of Freedom
A rehabilitation device for exercising a human appendage comprises a housing defining a reservoir and a thermally controllable viscous fluid contained within the reservoir, the thermally controllable viscous fluid having a temperature and a viscosity. The thermally controllable viscous fluid experiences an apparent change in viscosity when exposed to a change in temperature. A heating apparatus is provided for increasing the temperature of the thermally controllable viscous fluid, and a cooling apparatus is provided for decreasing the temperature of the thermally controllable viscous fluid. A temperature control apparatus is provided for selectively increasing or decreasing the temperature of the thermally controllable viscous fluid and thereby decreasing or increasing the viscosity of the thermally controllable viscous fluid.
Exercise Device
An exercise device for performing multiple exercise movements. The device includes a track, a track carriage, and a variable resistance system so that users can exercise multiple muscle groups. The resistance system provides assistance to the user during certain exercise movements and increased difficulty during other exercise movements.
Training apparatus, control segment for training, and control method
To provide a training apparatus for effective and safe performance of KAATSU training. A training apparatus is made up of a tight fitting band 100, a main device 200, a measuring segment 300, and a control segment 400. The tight fitting band 100 is wrapped around a predetermined region of a limb. The tight fitting band 100 has an air-tight inflatable bag. The compression force applied to the limb can be varied by supplying the air to and removing the air from the inflatable bag. The main device 200 controls the supply and removal of the air into and from the inflatable bag. The measuring segment 300 is attached to the limb around which the tight fitting band 100 is wrapped to measure the magnitude of a pulse wave. The control segment 400 determines, in preprocessing performed before the KAATSU training, the pulse wave component at a time point at which the magnitude of the pulse wave reaches the maximum, and chooses, as an appropriate gas pressure, the pressure within the inflatable bag that is produced at a time point at which such a pulse wave is generated that is obtained by means of multiplying the pulse wave component at a time point at which the magnitude of the pulse wave reaches the maximum with a numeral equal to or larger than 0.2 but smaller than 1.
Exercise system for shifting an optimum length of peak muscle tension
The present disclosure relates generally to exercise equipment for enabling a user to vary the effective muscle tension during the course of the performance of an exercise and, more particularly, to an exercise system for shifting an optimum length of peak muscle tension. In some embodiments, the system is an apparatus which comprises a force-generating element, e.g. a fluid cylinder, a user-input element which a user forcibly moves during the course of performance of an exercise, and also a coupling means, which is preferably a cable-pulley system, which transfers forces between the force-generating element and the user-input element. Finally, the apparatus comprises a control unit which controls and varies the level of force generated by the force-generating element during the course of performance of the exercise. The apparatus effectively varies the effective muscle tension through the generation of forces.

Batter assist power trainer device
A practice device for use with a bat in batting sports to instruct a batter on proper swing technique and form. It is a batter assist power trainer for sports exercise. This relates to an exercise method and apparatus for improving performance in sports that include swinging of a device such as a bat. It is a batter assist power trainer device made of an airtight airfoil structure made of flexible and durable material and a method or way for connecting the structure to a bat so that the batter assist power trainer device permits a batter to power train and to controllably increase hitting strength which allows the batter to achieve longer hits of a ball for baseball and/or softball. Other configurations include structures made with end sections, with reinforcing splines; and a various ways to connect the device to the bat.
Tongue strengthening device
Disclosed is a tongue strengthening device that includes a handle on one end and a bulb structure on the other end. The bulb is resiliently flexible, and enables a user to exercise their tongue by repeatedly compressing and releasing the bulb. Provided is a system or kit that includes multiple tongue strengthening devices having different compression specifications that allow a patient to graduate to devices which are harder to compress as the patient gains tongue strength.
System and method for measuring force and repetitive motion for therapeutic and fitness goals
The invention is directed to systems, devices, and methods for measuring force and repetitions during exercise or rehabilitation activities. Devices in accordance with embodiments may include: a casing; a processor within the casing; a display visibly on the casing; a first attachment portion on one end of the casing; a second attachment portion on an opposite end of the casing; and a force sensor connected to the first and the second attachment portion, the force sensor in communication with the processor. Methods may include: attaching a pneumatic exercise device to the wireless force measurement device; conducting exercises causing a piston in the pneumatic exercise device to move compared to from the wireless force measurement device; counting, by the device, the number of times the piston moves towards or away from the device; determining, by the device the amount of force applied through the pneumatic exercise device during the exercise.
