Device for rehabilitation of appendages and joints having multiple degrees of freedom
A rehabilitation device for exercising a human appendage comprises a housing defining a reservoir and a thermally controllable viscous fluid contained within the reservoir, the thermally controllable viscous fluid having a temperature and a viscosity. The thermally controllable viscous fluid experiences an apparent change in viscosity when exposed to a change in temperature. A heating apparatus is provided for increasing the temperature of the thermally controllable viscous fluid, and a cooling apparatus is provided for decreasing the temperature of the thermally controllable viscous fluid. A temperature control apparatus is provided for selectively increasing or decreasing the temperature of the thermally controllable viscous fluid and thereby decreasing or increasing the viscosity of the thermally controllable viscous fluid.
SWIM-EXERCISE APPARATUS AND WATER PROPULSION SYSTEM THEREFOR
A swim-exercise apparatus includes a water containment vessel having a first area defining a swimming/bathing compartment for enabling a user to swim-in-place within the apparatus and a water propulsion system for generating a directed flow of water in the swimming/bathing compartment of the water containment vessel. The water propulsion system includes a water pump having a scroll-shaped blower housing and a centrifugal blower impeller rotatively disposed within the blower housing. The centrifugal blower impeller includes a plurality of arcuate-shaped blades positioned about a central axis of the centrifugal blower impeller, each of the blades having a convex-shaped water pressure surface. The water propulsion system further includes a motor for rotatively driving the centrifugal blower impeller.
Exercise apparatus for performing a gluteal bridge movement
The present disclosure provides an exercise apparatus designed to allow a user to perform a gluteal bridge, typically with resistance, to improve the strength of the user's posterior hip and gluteal muscles. The exercise apparatus is configurable for use in different environmentsin a gym, fitness center or training facility, a spa or studio, or a home gym. The exercise apparatus includes a frame assembly, a bench assembly, and a resistance assembly. The bench assembly is pivotally connected to the frame assembly to provide an elevated pivot point about which the bench assembly pivots when the user performs the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly is operably connected to the bench assembly and provides a resistance force that the user overcomes in order to pivotally move the bench through the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly can include a cable, pulley and weight stack, or an elastically deformable band.

Cable reformer
The present disclosure describes an exercise device including a first base and a second base. The first base includes a pair of support handles rotatably connected to the first base, a pair of cable arms rotatably connected to the first base, wherein the pair of cable arms include a first engagement mechanism, an electronic resistance device connected to a pair of cable handles via a pair of cables that pass through a pair of channels defined by the pair of cable arms; and a seat. The second base includes a beam affixed to and connecting the first base and the second base. The beam includes a track, a backrest carriage that is slidably engaged with the track and includes a second and third engagement mechanism, and a backrest rotatably connected to an end of the backrest carriage.
ARM STRENGTH EXERCISING APPARATUS
An arm strength exercising apparatus includes two resistance arms, characterized by further including a resistance mechanism, the resistance mechanism includes a resistance member and a pull rope, the resistance member is arranged in one of the resistance arms, and the pull rope is connected between the resistance member and the other resistance arm; the resistance member provides resistance for the closing of the two resistance arms. By arranging the resistance member inside the tubular resistance arms, the space occupied by the overall arm strength exercising apparatus can be reduced, and the space utilization can be improved. In addition, the influence on the exercise effect due to contact with the resistance member during exercise can be avoided.
MOUTHPIECE FOR VOCALIZATION AND RESPIRATION TRAINING, AND VOCALIZATION TRAINING METHOD USING SAME
The present invention discloses a mouthpiece for vocalization and respiration training including: a wing portion (110) extending to both sides of the cheeks, and configured to be flexibly bitten between the teeth and the lips; a front portion (120) configured such that a ventilation hole (121) is formed in the center of the wing portion (110) so that respiration is performed; labial frenulum protection portions (130) extending over and beneath the front portion (120), and protruding to come into contact with the labial frenula; and an extension portion (140) extending from the ventilation hole (121), and coupled to an air resistance regulator (200). In this case, in the state in which a specific amount of air is exhaled evenly through the air resistance regulator (200) and, at the same time, the oral cavity is filled with air and the cheeks are expanded, vocalization practice is performed.
