Weighted hip and lower back exerciser comprises four main sections: the framework, the upper body support section, the weight system, and the weighted leg pivot section. A user secures one of his/her legs onto a leg pad and pivots the leg pad by rotating hip and lower back. Leg pad is connected to weights by a band passing through a pair of pulleys and a pulley cord guide. When the user swivels the leg rest, the user tenses the band thus lifting the weights, and resistance is generated. User will isolate the rotational movement to the hip and lower back by leaning onto a chest support and resting arms on an arm support mounted on a vertical rack above the weight assembly.

The Foot Support Members operatively engage the Guide Platform Member, with the upward and downward movements of the Foot Support Members create the pivoting movement of the Foot Engagement Member, and vice versa. The optional Resistance Member provides resistance in the pivoting motion of the Foot Engagement Member, and thus also in the upward and downward movements of the Foot Support Members.

The punching zones are disposed in the frame and the prompting devices are disposed on the punching zones, respectively. When a left hand or a right hand of a user touches one of the punching zones, the sensing devices can sense a first to-be-sensed part of a first wearable device or a second to-be-sensed part of a second wearable device worn on the hands of the user. As a result, the boxing fitness device and the detection method thereof of the present invention can sense the first to-be-sensed part and the second to-be-sensed part to detect the user's correct punching action.
