EXERCISE MACHINE

Described herein are embodiments of stationary exercise machines having reciprocating foot and/or hand members, such as foot pedals that move in a closed loop path. Some embodiments can include reciprocating foot pedals that cause a user's feet to move along a closed loop path that is substantially inclined, such that the foot motion simulates a climbing motion more than a flat walking or running motion. Some embodiments can further include reciprocating handles that are configured to move in coordination with the foot via a linkage to a crank wheel also coupled to the foot pedals. Variable resistance can be provided via a rotating air-resistance based mechanism, via a magnetism based mechanism, and/or via other mechanisms, one or more of which can be rapidly adjustable while the user is using the machine.

Liquid buoyance muscle training device

A liquid buoyancy muscle training device includes a liquid receiving tank receiving and holding liquid therein. A buoyantly submergible member is buoyantly submergible in the liquid contained in the liquid receiving tank and includes a regulation chamber formed therein. A bottom pulley is mounted inside the liquid receiving tank. A rope is connected to the buoyantly submergible member and wrapped around the bottom pulley and extends upward to project outside the liquid receiving tank. A liquid regulation tank is connected through a liquid supply tube to the regulation chamber to allow liquid to flow therebetween. A gas supplier is connected through a gas supply tube to the regulation chamber to selectively supply gas into the regulation chamber to change a ratio between liquid and gas inside the regulation chamber so as to change buoyance applied to the buoyantly submergible member by the liquid contained in the liquid receiving tank.

Arm curl exercise apparatus

Apparatus (10) for performing an arm curl exercise comprising: a frame (12), a seat (16), an elbow pad (19) an input arm assembly (24) interconnected to a resistance mechanism (42) and a manually graspable mechanism (30h), the seat (16) being arranged relative to the input arm assembly (24) to position the user in a user start position (USP) that enables the user to manually engage the manually graspable mechanism (30h) with a posterior surface (PSE) of the user's elbow user's elbow (13e) engaged with the engaging surface (ES) of the elbow pad (19), the input arm assembly comprising a first arm (30r) and a second arm (30f) pivotable around a first linear axis (AA).

MUSCLE TRAINING METHOD AND MUSCLE TRAINING SYSTEM
20190217143 · 2019-07-18 ·

A muscle training method includes the following steps that are repeated alternately to perform training of a muscle of a user: a pressuring and exercise step (S30, S50, S70, S90) of winding a belt around at least one of four limbs of the user and applying specific pressure thereto so as to restrict blood circulation of the muscle of the user without stopping the blood circulation, and asking the user to perform load-applied exercise to apply load of specific weight to the muscle of the user; and an exercise stopping step (S40, S60, S80, S100) of asking the user to stop the load-applied exercise while continuously applying the specific pressure to the user. The specific weight is set at a value smaller than maximum weight necessary for the user to exert maximum muscle force.

UNDERWATER STRIKING BAG DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME

An underwater striking bag device includes a bag having an annular upper compartment disposed in an upper section of the bag and receiving air therein, a neck extending through the upper section and communicating with a lower compartment receiving water therein, a weight in the bottom section, a removable cap connected to the neck, an air valve connected to the annular upper compartment to provide for filling air into the annular upper compartment, at least one handle connected to the bag for assisting in filling and removal of water into the lower compartment as well as exercising by grabbing the handles and pushing, pulling, and lifting the bag during a workout.

Braking Mechanism for a Self-Powered Treadmill
20190217182 · 2019-07-18 ·

A mechanical braking system which can provide a brake to a self-powered treadmill, or a dual mode treadmill that can operate in both self-powered and motor-powered modes, that will rapidly halt the motion of the belt or rollers in the event of a power disconnect such as from the removal of a safety key.

Exercise device

An exercise device featuring a pair of knee joints, each pivotally and respectively coupled to a pair of calf linkages, each of the pair of calf linkages having a foot pedal at an opposite lower end that supports low impact user-defined natural exercise gait patterns. The knee joints are supported and directed to travel by linkage and/or carriage systems that operate substantially below a user hip area and direct the knee joints in a variety of travel paths, ranging from a constant arc, a linear pathway, to a variety of irregular arc shaped paths to pathways that may change during use. A secondary system coupled to the linkage and/or carriage systems provides lift and dampening forces to influence a responsiveness of the foot pedals via bending and straightening of the calf linkage about the respective knee joint, yet does not restrict back and forth travel of the respective knee joint.

Computerized Exercise Apparatus

A training, rehabilitation, and recovery system comprises an exercise apparatus including a user interface member coupled to a plurality of links and joints, brakes capable of resisting movement of at least a subset of the links or joints, and sensors capable of sensing movement at the joints or the user interface member. The system also includes a processor configured to receive from the sensors positional data of the links or joints over an initial movement of the apparatus by a user, from which positional coordinates of the user interface member are calculated and a reference trajectory is established. An end space is defined based on the reference trajectory. Over a subsequent movement of the apparatus by the user, the processor receives additional positional data and determines a completion of a repetition based on the positional coordinates of the subsequent movement and the defined end space.

An exercise device includes an elongate platform and a pair of foot support members slidably mounted on the elongate platform. A mount permits reciprocating movement of the elongate platform and a guide member retains a body support member vertically above the elongate platform. The guide member guides the body support member for movement as an exerciser slides in opposite directions along a longitudinal dimension of the elongate platform.
