SYSTEM FOR INSULATING A STRUCTURAL ELEMENT
A system for insulating a structural element in a motor vehicle including a structural element having a first constituent part and a second constituent part which are joined together at a first joining point and a second joining point and form a cavity. The system furthermore includes a device having a carrier and a first expandable adhesive, wherein the carrier is arranged on the first constituent part of the structural element by way of a fastening element. The system furthermore includes a second expandable adhesive which is arranged on the second constituent part of the structural element. In this case, the first expandable adhesive and the second expandable adhesive are configured, and arranged, in such a way that, after the adhesives have been expanded, the device and the second expandable adhesive substantially completely fill a cross section of the structural element.
FLOOR CARPET WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC SHIELDING AND IMPROVED ACOUSTIC DAMPENING
A floor carpet for an automobile comprising including a first layer of polyester carpet pile, a dissipative layer, wherein the dissipative layer is a compressed matrix of electrically conductive metal wool and acoustic dampening fibers, the acoustic dampening fibers being one of cotton fibers and synthetic fibers, and a third layer including a sound dampening backing that is one of wool and polyurethane, wherein, the first layer, dissipative layer, and third layer are molded together as a unitary piece that is shaped to conform to the contour of a floor panel within an automobile and adapted to be immovably installed within the automobile.
RESIN COMPOSITE HAVING EXCELLENT SOUNDPROOFING AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
Disclosed are a resin composite having excellent soundproofing and mechanical properties, and a molded product including the same. The resin composite may include a resin composition, porous particles and a reinforcing material, and the molded product including the same include no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). As consequence, displeasure caused by generation of the VOCs and exhaust of toxic gas during combustion may be reduced thereby being environmentally friendly. Further, the resin composite and the molded product including the same demonstrate sufficient mechanical strength and may thus be directly applied to a housing or the like of an apparatus which generates noise without introduction of any additional soundproofing material. For example, the resin composite and the molded product may include a specific content of the porous particles having pores having a specific size to secure an appropriate volume fraction and may thus efficiently and economically block noise transmission.
PANELING ELEMENT FOR A VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPARTMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PANELING ELEMENT CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
A paneling element for a vehicle interior compartment has a carrier element (12) and a sound-reducing element (14) arranged on a surface (42) of the carrier element (12). The surface (42) of the carrier element (12) has at least one access region (19) that faces the sound-reducing element (14). The sound-reducing element (14) has an access opening (18) through which the access region (19) can be accessed. The sound-reducing element (14) has a cantilevered tongue (24) that can close the access opening (18) in the unmounted state of the sound-reducing element (14). The cantilevered tongue (24) is folded over in the mounted state of the sound-reducing element (14) so that the access opening (18) is opened.
Vehicle roof structure
A roof structure includes a roof panel constituting a roof of a vehicle, a roof headlining constituting a ceiling of a vehicle cabin, and a stiffening board disposed between the roof panel and the roof headlining. The stiffening board is attached to a lower face of the roof panel by adhering at plural adhesion portions. Steps are formed at the stiffening board between the respective plural adhesion portions so as to widen a space between the stiffening board and the lower face of the roof panel.
DEGENERATIVE SOUND ISOLATION DEVICE
A sound isolation device includes at least one degenerate acoustic scatterer having a plurality of channels. The plurality of channels may include three or more channels. The channels have an open end and a terminal end, wherein the terminal ends of the channels are separate from one another. The at least one degenerate acoustic scatterer has an acoustic monopole response and an acoustic dipole response that have a substantially similar resonant frequency.
SOUND ABSORBING MEMBER MOUNT ASSEMBLY
A sound absorbing member mount assembly includes a vehicular interior component and a sound absorbing member. The vehicular interior component includes a protrusion and the protrusion protrudes from a vehicular exterior side surface of the vehicular interior component and includes a support portion having a flat surface. The sound absorbing member is disposed on the vehicular interior component and includes a slit and a positioning portion that is adjacent to the slit. The positioning portion is to be bent and project toward a vehicular exterior side and is supported by the support portion of the protrusion. With the positioning portion being supported by the support portion, the sound absorbing member is positioned with respect to the vehicular interior component.
BIDIRECTIONAL CLIP FOR VEHICLE
A bidirectional clip for a vehicle, in which elastic stopping protrusions are integrally formed in pillars protruding outward from both surfaces of a base, assembly may be immediately performed even with the elastic stopping protrusion formed on any side of the base, and thus assembly efficiency can be improved. In particular, the bidirectional clip for a vehicle, in which at least two, preferably, four to six elastic stopping protrusions protrude from the pillars at regular intervals, and thus when assembly is performed using the bidirectional clip, the assembly can be easily and conveniently performed regardless of an assembly direction. Further, the bidirectional clip for a vehicle, in which the elastic stopping protrusions protrude from both sides of the base, and thus two components can be fixedly assembled with each other using the one bidirectional clip.
ACOUSTIC FIBER SILENCER
An acoustic fiber silencer for a motor vehicle includes a first sound absorbing layer and a second sound insulating layer. The layers are formed of lightweight fibrous material, and the sound insulating layer is quilted. The acoustic fiber silencer includes a frame to which the sound absorbing and sound insulating layers are secured. The frame provides structural support and shape to the sound absorbing and sound insulating layers. The acoustic fiber silencer is lightweight while maintaining excellent noise attenuation properties.
Flexible members for sealing, baffling, or reinforcing
An article comprising: (a) a carrier; (b) one or more carrier extensions extending from the carrier at one or more joints; (c) activatable material disposed on the carrier, at least one of the one or more carrier extensions, or a combination thereof; wherein the one or more carrier extensions are flexible relative to the carrier at the one or more hinges.
