A steering apparatus of a vehicle includes: a dust pack housing coupled to a top portion of a dust cap, which is combined with a rack housing to surround a pinion shaft, the dust pack housing disposed between and supporting a dash panel of the vehicle and the dust cap; and a noise attenuation member disposed between the dust pack housing and the pinion shaft and having plate shape so that an inner side of the noise attenuation member is spaced apart from the pinion shaft and an outer side of the noise attenuation member is fitted to the dust pack housing to attenuate noise that is transmitted to the inside of the dust panel.

Cover for placement in a front/rear compartment of a motor vehicle
A cover is provided for placement in a front/rear compartment of a motor vehicle. The cover is substantially made up of a frame and a covering attached to the frame. The covering is formed from a thin, flexible, in particular, skin-like material. The cover can be mounted in the front/rear compartment such that the covering covers at least one section of the front/rear compartment and/or one component situated therein.
SOUNDPROOF COVER
A soundproof cover is mounted to a first gear box of a power seat motor unit that is attached to a frame member of a seat and that has a motor and a gear box. In the first gear box, the axial direction of the motor is defined as the X direction, the direction of attachment to the frame member, which is one of two directions that are orthogonal to the X direction, is defined as the Y direction, and the remaining direction is defined as the Z direction. Then, the soundproof cover has: a foam disposed on at least an X-Z surface of the first gear box; a cover member disposed on the outer side of the foam; and a mass body interposed between the foam and the cover member and disposed at a position corresponding to at least the X-Z surface of the first gear box in contact with the foam.

A solid joining part (W1) that connects the overlap parts (2b, 4b) is formed between the overlap parts (2b, 4b).
NOISE SHIELD ARRANGEMENT COMPRISING A THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE ELEMENT
The present disclosure relates to a noise shield arrangement for a vehicle comprising a noise shield structure arranged to, at least partly, encapsulate a sound generating structure of the vehicle, wherein the noise shield structure is formed by an acoustic isolating material and comprises a first surface arranged to face the sound generating structure, and a second, oppositely positioned surface arranged to face away from the sound generating structure, wherein the noise shield arrangement comprises at least one thermally conductive element extending through the noise shield structure between the first surface and the second surface.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ELIMINATING HOOD NOISES IN TRACTOR TRAILER TRUCKS
A method and apparatus for noise reduction in a semi-truck tractor. The semi-truck tractor has hood cowling that is carried on an upper hood support mounted to a firewall of the semi-truck tractor. The invention includes applying a resilient sleeve to the upper hood support to eliminate a noise generated by vibration of the hood cowling when supported by the upper hood support. The resilient sleeve has an opening at a proximal end of the sleeve. The sleeve is dimensioned to surround an exposed face of the upper hood support when mounted to the firewall. The resilient sleeve provides a low friction barrier between the hood cowling and the upper hood support with the hood cowling in a closed position and supported by the upper hood support.
SOUND ABSORBING STRUCTURE HAVING ONE OR MORE ACOUSTIC SCATTERERS ATTACHED TO OR FORMING A VEHICLE STRUCTURE
A sound absorbing structure includes a vehicle structure having a surface and at least one acoustic scatterer coupled to the surface. The at least one acoustic scatterer has a resonant frequency. The at least one acoustic scatterer has an opening and at least one channel. The at least one channel has a channel open end and a channel terminal end, the channel open end being in fluid communication with the opening. The sound absorbing structure may be configured to absorb sound waves at a certain frequency generated by a noise source. The certain frequency may be substantially similar to the resonant frequency of the at least one acoustic scatterer.
