Energy absorbing feature for seatback
A seat includes a seat bottom having an occupant support surface, a seatback connected to the seat bottom, the seatback having an occupant support side cooperating with the occupant support surface, and a rear side, and an energy absorbing feature including a rigid member connected to the rear side of the seatback. The rigid member is movable between a storage position adjacent the seatback, and a deployed position extending into a cargo space of a vehicle upon detection or occurrence of an impact event. In the deployed position, the rigid member is capable of interfacing with cargo, a cargo floor, or both, to reduce force imparted on and deflection of the seatback and deflect cargo from impacting the seatback.
AIRBAG EXTENSION SYSTEM
Aspects of the disclosure relate to reducing the likelihood of injury to a passenger in a collision. In one example, a computing device may determine that an impact between a vehicle and an object external to the vehicle is imminent. The computing device may determine a protection range for a vehicle's airbag based on characteristics of the passenger, including the passenger's seating location within the vehicle. An airbag extension system may position an airbag package, including the vehicle's airbag, such that the vehicle's airbag is within the protection range of the passenger's seating location.
Vehicle airbag control system
A vehicle airbag control system has an airbag module, a detector and an electronic controller. The airbag module has an airbag that is configured to be positioned below a vehicle floor panel in an undeployed state. The airbag that is configured to be positioned to be above the vehicle floor panel in the deployed state. The detector is configured to detect a presence of an obstruction over the airbag module at a location above the vehicle floor panel. The electronic controller is programmed to deploy the airbag based on a detected result of the detector.

MOVEABLE ROOF SUPPORTED AIRBAG
A vehicle includes a floor and a roof. A panel is removably attached to and supported by the floor. The panel is designed to engage a personal mobility device. An airbag housing is supported by the roof and moveably relative to the roof along a cross-vehicle axis and along a vehicle-longitudinal axis. An airbag is supported by the airbag housing. The airbag is inflatable to an inflated position that extends from the airbag housing towards the panel.
SCREEN DEPLOYABLE ACROSS OPENING IN VEHICLE BODY
An assembly includes a vehicle body including an opening. A track is supported by the vehicle body and extends along the opening. A screen is supported by the vehicle body and is slideable along the track and across the opening between a retracted position and an extended position. The assembly includes a motor supported by the vehicle body and connected to the screen.
Seat with airbag
A seat including a seatback having a top and two sides extending downwardly from the top and an airbag supported by the top and the two sides of the seatback and including a tube inflatable forward and downward from the top. The airbag defining at least one inflation chamber in fluid communication with the tube. The inflation chamber extending from at least one side of the seatback towards the tube.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SPACE OF VEHICLE
An apparatus for controlling a space of a vehicle includes: a communication device to receive reservation information; and a controller to determine a manner of partitioning an inner space of the vehicle based on the reservation information and control an operation of one or more partition to correspond to the manner of partitioning the inner space, thereby allowing users moving similar routes to feel comfortable.
Airbag system
An airbag system includes a front airbag device that is provided in front of an occupant and that includes a front bag body configured to be deployed by being inflated by a gas being supplied during input of an impact, a door-side guide device that is provided on a door, and that includes a door-side guide member which displaces laterally toward the occupant from an inner side surface of the door during input of the impact and which is configured to guide the occupant toward the front bag body in front, and a console-side guide device provided on a console, and that includes a console-side guide member which displaces upward from an upper surface of the console during input of the impact and which is configured to guide the occupant toward the front bag body in front.
Restraint system
A restraint system includes a first plate, a second plate rotatably coupled to the first plate and rotatable away from the first plate from an undeployed position to a deployed position, a panel connected to the first plate and to the second plate, and a pyrotechnic activator coupled to the second plate. The panel is flexible relative to the first plate and the second plate. The first plate, the second plate, and the panel form a chamber having an interior volume. The pyrotechnic activator is arranged to, when discharged, rotate the second plate from the undeployed position toward the deployed position. One of the first plate or the second plate includes a vent hole in communication with the interior volume of the chamber.
